It simply does not let me add an apn. Even the app I use to configure my mobile network says failed to set apn.
When I go in the apn section and press menu -> add apn nothing happens.
I want my mobile internet but cannot configure it. Please help

Hi,
I have Orange cellular provider and he locked the option to use tethering (want charge on that service).
there is any value that i can change in my phone to make it work ? (the service is blocked in the network, not in my phone ofcours ).
for example , in Iphone there is TetherMe app, and in DROID there is this value :
"settings.db for "Settings Storage" application ( com.motorola.android.providers.settings ). Set entitlement_check to 0 and reboot the phone."
?

My device is already running ARHD 7.1.0 (Only my SIM card is from Orange. my cell is not branded )
Hello, try an alternative tethering app : https://play.google.com/store/search?q=tether
One should probably work. Maybe the stock app is "spied" by Orange, but not the other ones ...
Try'n'see

Tried them all already without success.
I though that maybe there is a parameter that i need to change in my phone..
maybe in the Telephony.db or settings.db
I cannot get my gps to work on my htc one v (cdma). I have downloaded all the apps to try and fix it. I'm thinking it might be a radio problem. Does anybody know of a fix for this? I am running provision rom 5.0

how do i do that ? do I login to the mysql and then remote terminal into the device ?
Download this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.sqleditor
And you can either use this to navigate to the following directory or use some sort of root explorer.
You're going to want to go from root directory to
Data/data/com.Android.Providers.Telephony/databases/telephony.Db
Here you can see all possible APN's and add the setting for yours or simple turn it on. Of course before you exit remember to save.

I added Telus APNs no problem using the same ROM. Maybe tell us how you're trying to save them. Step by step and we can see if you're doing it right.

Hi I ended up reverting to stock will try again this weekend. and keep you posted but mainly it would just not add the apn it allowed me to enter them but when i pressed save it went back to apn screen which did not show anything . As a side tragedy to this i learned that apparently CWM does not retain recovery files after it has been restored so i did loose part of the data but i learned something new.
