i still can fastboot. I just want to get back to stock

if i am unlocked how can i get doom to boot? everytime i flash tool boot boot the phone gets stuck on the cool android logo.
stuff about my phone
android 2.3.3
kernel version 2.6.32.9-perf (help putting dooms kernel on this would be nice I think thats the way to go but i dont know how to install it no .ftf or .sin as far as i can find)
build: 4.0.A.2.368
THANKS!! THANKS!!!
Just because i feel stupid i figured i'd post my solution
1. unlock by finding imei in aboutphone-status-imei
2. follow the unlock guide phone in fastboot spits out already unlocked (yea!)
3. flash boot boot
4. keep connected to computer when finished after screen flashes on then turns off disconnect (here is where i got stuck in a loop wouldn't boot past animation until finally turning off while conected to computer)- 5days of searching because i wasn't patient enough to wait a minute before disconecting phone from computer. *Banging my head loudly*
5. reboot
6. enjoy and buy a beer

Did you flash clockwork instead of just booting from it?

clockwork problem
Thanks for the reply. That was the problem initially I flash system instead of booting did a flashtool.back to stock thanks to.some wonderful posts by doom xxxxsonic plus others. I love xda
Anyway now I can't get root again after using flashtool to get to r800a 4.0 baseband used doom kernel for appropriate baseband I get stuck on boot v2 and three fastboot flash boot I only get the cool logo never boots
I'm going to scour the forums again something about fastboot clear cache then retry doom fix v2 plus zoom
I dunno after hours and hours I'm back to having a working phone no root but no shifty bloatware either
Anything on how to root this I can still get into clockworkI would be thankful
Hi everyone,
Before criticizing me for posting this thread please note that I've spent a lot of time googling and trying to find a solution.
Before I begin I want to mention that I'm pretty new to android system. I learned few basics today but must admit I'm a noob. I've had my Xperia Arc S for a while now, but decided to root it (got annoyed with all restrictions + bloadware). But to the point.
After few hours I successfully unlocked bootloader and rooted my device. It's been 7 hours now and I'm really stuck. Finally I decided to get help from you guys - I'm just fed up with it.
Here's my problem:
At the first place I had Android 2.3.4 [4.0.2.a.0.62]. Found out that this version is hard to unlock and root, so I downgraded it to 4.0.2.a.0.42 (which apparently was easier to achieve what I wanted).
Then I followed the guide how to unlock bootloader - succeeded.
Later I used OneClickRoot to root my device - also succeeded.
Now the problem begins - I've read this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592104
Tried to install CWM using Rom Manager - failed as I got the message that my LT18i is not supported. Instead I installed X-Parts and using it I installed CWM. Seems it all went fine but I can't access Recovery Mode - and seriously I tried everything: volume up, volume down, hold, pressing few times, tried even with back and menu button. I also tried "Reboot to recovery" option in X-Parts - still no result.
I downloaded SE Extreme Tweak and installed CWM using this program but still nothing.
As far as I know to install new ROM I need an access to Recovery Menu. I want to install Stock ROM 2.3.4 [4.0.2.a.0.62] (the one I had before) and remove unnecessary bloatware.
Any suggestions guys? How to fix that Recovery Mode problem?
My device details:
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S
LT18i
Android version: 2.3.4
Buld number: 4.0.2.A.0.42
Thanks for any help!

Have you tried flashing a custom kernel? As far as I know, they come with recovery pre-installed. I'd suggest you give the following a go. Should definitely work for you.

Thanks for reply. Well the thing is - maybe it's a bit silly reason - that I love the favourites widget in 2.3.4. As far as I know this widget is not available in any other versions - even custom ROM's....
edit: Sorry just noticed that it's actually "fixed" version of stock Kernel. Thanks, will try to give it a go then
Are these similar to what you're looking for?

I'm sure Google Play has a lot of what you want.
The first one is. I used it before - need to use Go Launcher with it though, which I didn't really like :/
The one I'm talking about is called "favorites and call log widget" (sorry apparently as a new user I can't post outside links to show you what I'm exactly after)
@ MarcSinger
thanks again for trying to help, I've read the post, however it still requires to boot the phone in recovery mode, which I'm not able to do
Any other suggestions guys?
Guys I sorted it out!!
I unrooted the phone (don't know if this helped), rooted again, then found this app "5.0.2.7-nAa-r2 Auto-Installer", installed it on my device and installed CWM from there. Now I can access Recovery Mode. Finally I can carry on with flashing ROM. Will try to install what MarcSinger posted.

If your bootloader is unlocked then simply flash a kernel with CWM, no need to install it via the apps.

Glad I could help, good luck!
u solved it yourslef, lol.
this app is cwm-auto-installer. i always use it after rooted to install cwm though i flashed the custom kernel had cwm pre-installed.
2 cwm is just better for me, i dont know why but i use lupusv14 kernel, in kernel's cwm, it doesnt do the action "advance restore" like restore system only, so i return to manual cwm to do this

sr, i just seen this notif. maybe cwm was not installed actually, though these apps (xpart, rommanager, recovery...) said is was completed. i think these apps cannot install by ifself (if i remember exactly, cuz a long time ago n i dont use arc anymore). so u must use cwm-auto-installer app, install this app, open it then tap 3rd line to install cwm inside this app. i always do that after root (though i use kernel have cwm preinstalled).
after that, when u power on ur phone, ull see green led light which means u have cwm already n able to access cwm by pressing volume (-) when that led light appear, through that moment u cant access anymore n must reboot to try again. or easier u can use [ndr utils] app, have all reboot option.

If you have an unlocked bootloader just flash a kernel with CWM on it, why go through all the trouble to use CWM auto installer if it doesn't work for you?
You could also try connecting your phone with your computer, make sure you have adb drivers installed and adb turned on in developers settings on your phone , then just type in this command within a terminal: adb reboot recovery .
Please Note that this solution does not mean you haven't got recovery installed on your phone, so this one might fail.!
Have you guys tried holding power + camera? I once had a recovery installed which used the camera button to enter recovery
Also do not press the power button for to long or your phone might just restart and doesn't have the time to boot in recovery, so start up holding volume down or up and press power, realease the power after like 7 seconds , (can't remember how long it really was so experiment.... )
I own a Sony Xperia D5316 model which I was able to unlock the bootloader via Sony. I flashed clockwork mod recovery via fastboot and now phone goes into a boot loop with only the sony logo. I am able to go into the clockwork recovery fine by pressing down on the volume button as I power on the unit, but that's about it. Is there any way I can revert back to stock recovery or even access my phone from the dead? Also, I tried looking for a decent firmware on this unit and so far came up empty, I didn't see much out there any recommendations. BTW, I tried the Emma Xperia flash tool to bring the phone back from the dead and although it detects my phone it says that "no available services matched the connection device" so I am unable to revert back to stock. Any help would be gladly appreciated.
Have u try flashtool? And also try the xperifirm in the cross development section to find your firmware model

Yeah I wrote above I tried flashtool (sony Xperia flashtool called emma?) but it fails to flash my device due to the custom recovery. Also can you point me where the cross development section is with the proper firmware? Thanks couldn't find anything. =o0i0

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2834142 here is the link, hope yo can find your model firmware

I just bought this phone used from my friend.
Now I am trying to do root and still unable to find 4.4.2 ftf after searching for a week.
I also trying to install recovery uisng the same method and now it's on bootloop.
Fortunately I have copy of 5.1.1.zip in and I reinstall this through recovery.
And it's came alive again. That's a relieve.
Actually you could go install XperiFirm if I am not mistaken.
It lets people download firmware for their Xperia
hi all im hoping u can help me i have an xperia play which i tryed to root using cynogen mod 12 but it fails on install it will then reboot and show the blue cynogen logo but sit thier untill battery pull. i can access cyonogen recovery but thats all. ive tried installing other roms such as 9, 10 and 11 but all do the same thing (although 11 does seam to install/unpack).
i unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone successfully. i also used flashtool to flash the boot.img.
i have heard i could fix the problem by sideloading another better recovery tool but i dont know how to do that. as off now im stuck in cynogen recovery.
any advice you could give would be greatfully appreciated, at this point im completely out of ideas and if you need anymore info i would be happy to provide it
thanks in advance
Hi,
It would be nice if you linked the exact ROM you tried to flash on you phone. It sounds like the boot.img is incorrect.
You can try flashing this kernel forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804003 . This one is for ICs roms(4.0.x).
Or this one - for Jelly Bean versions(4.1-4.2) - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1861970 .
All you have to do, is boot into fasboot mode and flash the given .img file as boot.img. (The difference between 480p and 720p kernels, are that 480 can't capture 720p videos, but sometimes 720p kernel doesn't work with all roms).
hi tnx for the help the rom i tried to install was cm-12-20150314-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyXperia-zeus
i think your idea would work but im unable to boot into fastboot mode as i used flashtool before and it doesnt recognise my phone anymore ( i dont know if i can use ADB as that option is available on my boot loader)
if you could provide me with a link to how to flash a new .img/rom using another way other than flash tools that would be really helpful. im sry to be such a noob, i have rooted every phone i had and never encountered this problem before and am completely stuck.
tnx again for your help
ok ignore my last msg i managed to flash the .img in fastboot no problem but now it wont let me into recovery mode so i think im stuck in some infinate boot loop no matter how many times i click volume down it just reboots after about 2 mins, anything i can do about that or am i now really bricked?
tnx again for your help

Well you could try to return to point zero by flashing your phone to stock rom and try to begin from there.
You can do that by using flashtool and downloading stock ROM from these forums.
BTW, you can enter flash mode by inserting usb cable and holding search button(i think, you can try other buttons). Your LED has to turn green, blue is fast boot.
Also if your flashtool give you errors, download earlier version (see some other threads about flashtool, there are links to older version). Maybe it doesn't recognize your phone, because of the new version, i've had problems with it too, but i had to download old version and everything started to work as expected.
Hello community!!
This is my first post here ^^
So I'm trying to root my g3412. After struggling to find drivers for S1 Fastboot, I successfully unlocked my bootloader (via Flashtool) . The only thing left is to flash the TWRP recovery and root it.
But I'm experiencing some weird problems.
When I'm trying to flash the recovery using ADB everything seems ok but when i try to turn on my phone it bootloops between the "your phone cannot be trusted" message and the Sony logo. After i freaked out for a couple of hours i found out that the only way to overcome this loop is to flash a fresh stock rom via FlashTool.
I'm back at step 1 and i can't really find a way to flash the recovery so i can continue my rooting process..
Also I think i found out while searching that g3412 doesn't have a stock recovery, so i guess that has to be considered as well.
Any ideas??
Thank you all in advance!!
You better change your handset...
Well i'm sorry to say but you can't root xperia xa1 plus,. the reason is there is no working TWRP for this mobile... I've tried almost every boot img on internet, none of them worked.... you better change your handset.. as there will be no TWRP img in future...
