Just to let everyone know, the Note 2 LTE (including T-Mobile) will be getting official CyanogenMod 10.1 builds!
Here's the link where the builds will be available: http://get.cm/?device=t0lte
And here's the thread in AT&T forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105917
Nice! Thanks for the heads up dude.
This solidifies my belief that the Note 2 is undoubtedly the best phone in the world.
Wow just flashed this and my phone will not boot at all. FML...
Fixed.

The only reason I've ever used CyanogenMod on my previous device was because of software issues. To date, I can see no reason for even a custom ROM on my Note II let alone a beta ROM.

Been rooting and flashing since the G1 and never had installation abort in the middke of a flash but once. I read the directions and did exactly as posted four times now. Idk what the issue is. I am currently on Jedi X rom. Maybe I should flash stock then retry it?

You don't need cwm I flashed perfectly fine with twrp and have no problems at all haven't tried Bluetooth since I don't use it but it States that it's a bug anyway.
Fandroid93 download goomanager and you can install the latest twrp from there. Or download rommanager and should be able to get cwm from there.

What version phone do you have? Some Canadian versions require the updater script to be modified to remove the version checks, everything flashes fine after that and works as normal but they forgot to add the version numbers in the check.

So I flashed miui & flashed Chris41g's CWM6 RC13 kernel, both through EL26 CWM. when it booted I kept getting force closes. It kept saying "android.com.process failed" or something like that. Booted back into cwm n reflashed. Same thing happened. So I tried to get back to recovery & it got stuck at the Galaxy S II screen. It still boots to download mode though. Is Odin my only way out of this? Will it even work?

Which version of MIUI? If you're flashing Captain Morgans latest build, I believe you have to flash to the build before, mobile Odin/Odin to el26, and then flash the newest build + Chris's Kernel without any wiping. Info is in the OP.

Yeah I had to do the same thing. So @ChewDZ, basically you are going to have to flash that old one first, and then the new one on top of it as if you were upgrading, otherwise everyone gets that error. And make sure to use the right kernels mentioned above! (Also, I was tempted to just flash the old one and not upgrade, but trust me, the upgraded one has much better stability and battery life.) I have been running it since it was out with almost no issues.

I completely agree. It should just be the standard installation instructions, as no one has been successful without doing it this way. It shouldn't be "So now that you tried normally and it screwed up your phone, try it this way." XD They should just tell us to do it that way from the start.

This is version I747MVLALI3, as opposed to the leak from a couple days ago which was I747MVLALI2c.
Initial impression is that this one is more stable, but I haven't done too much testing yet.
Original OTA ZIP:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=SGH-I747M&pcode=BMC&os=1&type=1#firmware
Modified for easier flashing:
https://hotfile.com/.../d2can_JB_OTA_MVLALI3_keeproot.zip
> MUST be flashed over stock MVLALH1 *** NOT over the previous leaked OTA ***
> will keep your root su binary
> removed the recovery update, so the recovery will remain as whatever you currently have (CWM, etc)
> removed all patch checks so that it will flash even if you are running a modified (eg. some system apps removed) stock MVLALH1
> in other words, you could technically flash this ZIP over any ROM, but unless it's stock or modfied MVLALH1, you will probably end up with bootloops
I flashed this over rooted MVLAH1 using CWM 5.8.4.7 and it worked. Flashing using Mobile Odin should work too. Other methods, I don't know.

You can now makes incremental update for every build of cyanogen!
Cyandelta downloads only modified files and create a new rom with them by using your old rom file.
So, be sure to have a CM9/10 rom file in your possession first and Cyandelta will determine what kind of updates you want (nightlies, M2, etc.).
It's very pratical when you want to download an update over 3G or 4G, the update varies between 4-20 Mb!

Looks promising, might try it out.

Yeah, in fact, one of the cyan devs was ranting about users who do "unnecessary" things, like clearing the cache(both) or doing full wipes. I'm guessing those things are not required if performing minor updates.
Regarding the issues with flashing in CWM, apparently this is because most versions only allow scripts to be run from RomManager. It should work just fine in TWRP or by manually flashing from the CyanDelta folder.
Just a quick warning for users of the hacked of Google Wallet, this install will remove Google Wallet from your device since it is installed in the system folder. If you use Cyandelta nightly, you will need to reset Wallet before updating and repeat the install with the build.prop edit afterward.

I've been able to get several older ROMS to work fine. So long as they are 4.2.1 ROMs there is a chance it will work. I've been unable to get any 4.2.2 or higher ROM to work.

Do they flash correctly? in CWM or TWRP? Very weird. It's practice to do Factory Reset, Clear Cache, Clear D Cache, Fix Permissions, then install your Rom.
That is what your doing? Then rebooting into it? and you get stuck on black screen?

The newer s3's have a safeguard in place which will not allow you to mount storage in recovery. You need a modded recovery for the newer devices(several threads) and this will allow you to flash Touchwiz ROMs only AOSP ROMs are still not working on these newer devices.

And if I'm not mistaken you need to flash a kernel..... it's really broad and vague to say I did (...... ) and my (..... ) doesn't work. But more than likely you'll have better results posting in the X-Note section.

Hey guys just to make sure. Can we flash international ROMs? If so How? Can someone tell me step by step how it's done? Would like to try out another Rom that isn't tmobile aswell. do I download the ROM and then backup my APN settings. Then delete/factory reset along with wipe cache and dalvik flash ROM then flash tmobile kernel after its done? Any kernel? Right after its installed? I'm saying because can another kernel from a different ROM brick my phone?

EDIT: Check my next post. I hit a bunch of buttons and posted this by accident.

I'm going to assume you're not rooted and don't have recovery, if you are, then skip the first two steps.
1. Install CF-Root using ODIN: http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip

1. Use ODIN or recovery to flash 4.4.2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2671063. You can use the odexed or deodexed version.
2. Install CF-Root using ODIN: http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip (Yes it's for the N9005, but it'll work for our phone too)
3. Install TWRP: http://www.techerrata.com/file/twrp2/hltetmo/openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-hltetmo-4.4.img.tar
4. Go into recovery, do a factory reset & install X-Note. Keep the default CSC. Choose your customizations. Select the option to NOT install any kernel. Let it install. Don't reboot.
5. Flash Wifi/BT fix. It's in the first post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2614772
6. Flash Wootever's kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2665661
7. Set up your APN.
That's what I did and everything works.

Thank you bro I looked at what rom is xnote and wow it looks SICK SICK SICK. Is this the rom? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301 I really want to install this Rom now looks amazing a lot of tweaks. One Question I'm still On 4.3 running wicked v5 I should download what you mentioned. I am already rooted with TWRP installed of course. Next I should factory reset/wipe cache/dalvik and install rom when a screen pops up about the kernel I pick no kernel? (Theirs an option for that?) And then let it install (any other option on AROMA I should know to follow correct? Exp: EFS) DONT REBOOT and install fix then mentioned kernel? What version are you running?

Oh, if you're still on 4.3, then update to 4.4.2 first! That's really important (X-Note won't install on a 4.3 bootloader). Install either the odexed or deodexed image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2671063, then follow the rest of the steps. I'll update my original post.
EDIT: I'm running version X-Note 11. Version 12 wasn't available when I installed. I don't plan to update though. There's really nothing new and I'm already getting great battery/performance, so I don't see the point messing with a new version.

That's right, everything goes into AP. When you flash the update, it's going to update your bootloader too, which is what you need to do in order to install X-Note.

Thanks so much for your help bro. The first step if I'm correct will basically get me the stock 4.4 ROM with the firmware and all. Unrooted with stock recovery and new bootloader. Second step to root and then flash the recovery through odin both things actually through odin then the following steps. You've been really helpful
