Hey XDA,
I have developed these 3 missing shortcuts that i use on a daily basis with my Galaxy S3 (Any Model) and the Galaxy Note 2. They are the lost shortcuts that Samsung never made to launch the following activities of the Job Manager application in the device's. Instead of holding down the home button and clicking the task manager icon like normal, You can now use "Task Manager which gives you quick access into the stock Task Manager in one click. Now if you just need to Free Ram then download "Ram Manager" as just a quick click of the app icon and one button click in the Task Manager and all ram is cleared. Finally the App Manager always you to get quick access to all the Installed Downloaded apps and makes it quicker to uninstall an application on your Galaxy S III or Note 2. Feel free to check the apps out on Google Play or See attached APK's, The apps are Free and have No Ad's
-Thanks, Hope you guys envoy
Thanks... this should probably be posted in sgs3 themes and apps though

The S2 and skyrocket (and possibly other S devices) have had a widget that directly ties into the TW framework and gives you a nice visual on how many apps you have running and if there is one running out of control.
I just installed it on my S3 running kyanROM and the widget worked, but it always said I had 0 apps running. It would, however, take you to the TW taskmanager when tapped on.
Would it be possible to get this working with our devices? I will attach the apk shortly for anyone needing it.
It should be attached now.
Fyi, it was extracted from the current Shostock ROM in the AT&T S2 forum.
Funny, I had an International S3 for a few days before I got my Att one. I downloaded that app through samsung apps. I wish I would have saved the .apk I have not found it again. It is out there in a working form for ICS though.

Please help to use this Application be use HTC Desire VC
I'm taking no credit for the development of this app, I spotted it over on AndroidPolice and thought I'd share...
You can use it to hibernate programs not running in the foreground when your rooted phone is sleeping. I have just installed and going to have a play...

ran out of thanks today buddy but will go back tomorrow to hit that thanks button. thanks for sharing.
Rooted Galaxy S3. The app asks for root like normal but 30 seconds after locking the screen then checking, it says "fail to hibernate. unable to verify root". Even uninstalled/reinstalled...same issue. Emailing Dev and hopefully they'll find a fix.

Never got a chance to have proper play with this lastnight. I had ES TaskManager installed and was using the startup manager too. I've just froze it to give Greenify a chance...

I rooted my note 3 last night and installed the mods to add other apps to multi window. That was my main drive to rooting. But I don't seem to use it that much. I find it easier just to use one app and then click the home button swipe up on nova which gives me my recent apps and then use the other apps. That works better for me and is really fast. I was just wondering do you guys use multi window? And if so is there a certain way you use it? With any specific apps?

I use it from time to time when I'm on the go and I have to open a spreadsheet as well as my email for example, where I have to take certain figures from a worksheet and use them in my email to someone... that's just an example... Another example is when I have jotted down several numbers that I have to do some work with, so I open my notes, say, on the top, and the calculator on the bottom... It WILL come in handy--trust me.
I thought I would use it more, but I've only used it 3 times total. I guess more app support would help, but even then I don't I would use it much.
i have used it a bunch of times
will do it more when i can add whatever app i want to it (stock with root)
i just hate it when it does it on its own
What mod did you use to use all apps?

I do, but I'm noticing that after sometime the little tab disappears so I would have to go into settings and turn it off and back on. What causes this?
I guess it will come handy later on. At least we have this features. It's good to see what other people are using it for.

These r the steps I took.
I rooted my note using cf auto root. (still don't have a recovery installed since twrp and cwm are both having problems.)
Installed the xposed framework (from the themes and apps section in first post) reboot.
Went to play store search wanam xposed. Installed. Open xposed installer enabled wanam module. Reboot.
Go into wanam app. Go to system section. There is a tab that let's u add apps to multi view.
Done.

Yeah adding with Wanam module works great. It also adds a hotboot function which is handy.
As for uses, I've used it loads of times with my reader app. I can pop open a browser to search a definition or get more info on something. I found that apps are limited in how they work with each other though. For example I can't drag a reference image from a browser into sketchbook. But that's an issue with sketchbook and not the multiwindow function.
Thanks, i used the multi window manager from the play store to use all apps. As for how much I actually use it, not much. I've actually been using pen window more since we can add any app to it. It's become quite useful.

I did all this and enabled the apps I want...but how does it work now?
They are not showing on the right slide out thing for multiwindow...does it not show up there, but we can do it by opening those apps?
Also the wanam app is a lifesaver...lots of things on there
-nvm went to edit and they are all showing now
I actually use it a lot more now on the note 3 than i did on the note 2. The app groups really makes it more useful to me. Specifically i have an IRC/Chrome combo, an IRC/Youtube combo, a Chrome/youtube combo, email/gmail combo, gmail/chrome combo, and quite a few more like that, you can see the theme... I also enabled auto multi window for supported apps, which i find really useful, so sometimes if i click on a youtube link in some apps, it will play the video on the bottom half, or if i click on a link in a text message, it splits and takes me to the webpage... Each evolution of samsungs software gets just a little bit more useful imo.

So I have to know, I can't seem to get some apps to show up....I try to select Netflix and it won't show up in the multi window menu bar....it's damn near the only app I want to use with other apps and I can't! Any suggestions? I'm trying the wanam method....running jovy23's wicked Rom on my n900w8....the multi window app crashes whenever I try to load it
Any idea?
Through ample time of tinkering with settings I finally have it up and running lag free!
What you'll need:
Market Helper app (Google it)
GLTools in the play store
Open market helper and set your device to "tabled" and model to "asus transformer". By doing this the play store will display apps and games designed for tablets. Go to play store and download "commander". Now install and open "gltools" you will need a custom kernel such as the govnaaa in order for it to install. Open the gltools app and select commander and set the following
*Enable custom settings for this application.
*Optimize GLSL Shaders
*Use fake GPU info
*Use fake CPU info
*Use A template (nvidia tegra4 shield)
Exit gltools and launch commander BOOM it works!
These are not my apps and take no credit for them.

Well you would have to be rooted in order for this method to work as far as I know.
Who Da Baby Dady?!
I have xtresto lite Rom (5.0 lollipop) on my s5.
Every time I try launching market helper, choose settings ang grant SU rights, the app crashes.
Please assist
Bump
Like the guy above me. Galaxy S5 running CM12. After tapping "activate", it'll go up to "doing magical things" and then says unfortunately market helper has stopped working.
Any ideas how to resolve this? Can't get Xposed because it's not compatible with S5 yet apparently too. Sad face..
So, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. Great and very helpful site!
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II and an SIII and SII before them. I'm a bit of a Samsung Galaxy fan.
I've noticed with these devices that apps like Spotify, Netflix and Redbox drain my battery like crazy but when I go to:
Settings / More / System manager / Application manager and scroll to these apps, then click the "Force stop" button it helps like crazy.
I've tried looking this up on the inter-webs and it appears that you're not supposed to do that?
I've also tried using task manager type apps to kill these programs when I'm done with them but even though these apps say that the progs are killed I still have the "Force stop" button highlighted and my battery draining in the background.
Please help me understand this? My next thought is to as for help writing a simple bit of code that kills all of the apps that I hardcode in the program.
Try Greenify from the play store it hibernates apps your not using and it has an extention in xposed to do even more with system apps try it b4 doing something more drastic

This Greenify program is perfect! It does exactly what I was looking for. I pick the apps that I want to participate in this and it creates a hibernate shortcut on my desktop. I click the shortcut and it "Forces Close" all of the apps that I pre-chose! Thank you!
Your welcome glad to help
