Xperia z= no spen, no multi Window, scratch prone and untested. This is a no brainer. I can almost guarantee 99% of the people on here will agree that the note 2 is the best phone they have ever owned.

I was a proud supporter of HTC for a long time. I bought the GS3, and two days later sold it. I didn't like how the screen made TW feel incomplete. Then I bought the N2, and damn, TW is amazing!!!! I don't see myself ever going to anything other than the Note series. As long as Samsung keeps updating, I will always be one of the first adapters. Honestly, I was sort of ashamed of myself I waited so long to buy it (bought it DEc 27)
I will say this, after using this phone, even the GS3 has a small screen. My old One S is super tiny, and lets not talk about iPhone's, those are literally toys in size compared to the sheer massive screen. So be prepared to never go back to anything under 5.5

I still have my s3, but since I got my note 2 it has been in a drawer for over a month untouched. The note 2 is so awesome my s3 just seems like a phone I would give my 10 year old daughter because it is of no use to me. Definitly won't regret going note 2. It is a badass phone man. Seriously this phone is awesome.

Im actually seriously considering selling nexus 4 and getting a note 2. The nexus is very nice and all but has some issues that must be addressed.

+1 100% i sold my S3 last night for $450 And bought new in box never turned on note 2 for $400 on the good old streets of the D lmao.
So glad I did plus had extra $50 to get a case and mhl adapter (11 pin). Cause I had the 5 pin to 11 pin adapter just get sick of having an extra part.

IKR, I had saved few$ and was gonna sell S3 and buy on craigslist for $600 but I got real lucky. Streets of Detroit lol I was talking to a guy in a clinic were i just sold my S3 a few mins before. so this guy asked why I sold a good phone like that. I told him I was saving to get the Note 2. He said no **** I just bought 3 but my wife don't like it. I was like no kidding how much you want for it? He said give me $400 cash right now and its yours. He said he just wanted to get his $ back and make $100. So I jumped on that **** lol. Then gave him a big bro hug lmao.

I would be concerned this guy is gonna report it as stollen get a new Note 2 from insurance company and have your imei blocked giving you a $400 paper weight, I hope for your sake I am just to cynacal for my own good, and that you just got a great deal, but I always think if a deal seems too good to be true it usually is.
I have had every phone worth having since the first IPhone and the G1 and this is by far the best one hands down. I got lucky and got mine for free from TMobile loyalty department because my sg3 I broke and they didnt add the insurance like they were supposed to. They were gonna just send another sg3 and I asked if he could send a Note 2 instead and he said sure lol I was lucky as hell.

Hey, its not the size its how you use it.
I played with it too. I'm in the process of being hired as a sales rep and yes it does make any 4.5" phone look puny. For some reason the floor model was laggy. Actually they all were. Probably some demo software installed on the phone. But the screen was beautiful and spacious. WANT.

My wife and I are eligible for upgrade at the end of January and I'm torn between the S3 and the Note 2. We are bother getting the same phone. My wife's idea is to get the cheaper of the 2 while I'm all about the tech. I'm leaning towards the S3 though just on principle of making the wife happy.

I've had an upgrade burning a hole in my pocket since July and decided to wait for the S4 since the S3 wasn't much of an upgrade. I thought about getting one of these but it is ridiculously huge especially because I use my phone to play my music at the gym 4 days a week. I can't imagine walking around the gym with a small book in my gym shorts.

Plan on selling my GSII for the Note II myself.
That phone seems a little large...and im not sure the stylus will be useful to me...specially once i load CM or something on it...wont that stylus become useless with an AOSP rom?

Lol, its not a bad deal i think. The mugen battery is 100 the phone is still 600 brand new, the case is 35. I may lower it to $300 though for all of it.
I've been lucky enough to play with the note II daily at work and I have to say that the phone is awesome in every sense. Much better than the GS3. I'm very tempted.
How many people have absolutely no regrets buying the galaxy note 2 whether purchasing it full retail price, upgrade, or new line of service?

Same here New in box for $400, im on tmobile $30 prepaid though.
I bought two and am happy. I paid full price for my girlfriends $702 including tax and $305 including tax for mine.
The only buyers remorse I have, is after dropping $702 on her phone we're no longer together lol.

Best phone I've ever had, bar none. Paid full price, no regrets. I have not taken a notepad or a sheet of paper to a meeting since I got it. My tablets are collecting dust. WiFi calling makes my battery go all day with 70% left. Quad core makes everything run blazing fast. Wolfson DAC makes FLAC files sound like vinyl, only better. S Pen. S Pen. S Pen. Vision Objects MyScript Note.

I love the phone's hardware and battery life. I just really hate TouchWiz.
Wife and I might be leaving Sprint due to having bad service at home and work, but not in between. How annoying is that if we're roaming and can't use our data? I got a call from Sprint offering a free out on both lines with no ETF due to data roaming that's occuring while I work. We have an Airave here that we got for free (and have no problem sending back to Sprint).
Anyway, onto the question. What price should we be looking at to sell our phones? Both are in great condition -- hers is white, and mine is black. Hers has an Otterbox Defender on it and mine has a Commuter.
I was thinking about $250 a piece for a total of $500 to help pay for our new phones on another carrier.

I think your price is too high. $200 if you are lucky but $150-175 per phone is more realistic. This phone has been out over a year and used cases have very little value.

150-160 if you want to sell it real quick. 170-185 is where I personally would look for if I'm looking for a used GS2. $200 and above is really stretching it.
I sold mine for $300 on dec 1 with 2 batteries and 3 cases. I put an ad on craigslist nov 31 and by 9am dec 1 I had 3 ppl message me 2 offered 250 and one offered the asking price. It was gone by 10am and I was at sprint picking up my note2

Jist because this phone is a little over a year old it is still a great phone. If they are being sold now at $99 with a 2 year contract, $250 off contract for a like new with accessories is a great deal.

Just having the Note 2's screen size has made my experience with my new phone amazing. Yes, it is a little uncomfortable to text with but when I am stuck for hours somewhere, I put the Note on it's stand, lean way back, and watch a movie on a big ass screen.
You can still get aosp ROMs so you want be missing a thing from nexus 4. Bigger screen, bigger battery. Touchwiz, something you were looking for. Great phone. You'll get many ppl saying, its so big!!!! aha

All comes down to personal preference, I suppose.
How do you like the S4? The Note 3 has a slightly bigger screen and definitively feels bigger in your hands. I for one think it's too big. The s4 is a pretty damn perfect size, which is why I don't think I'd get the Note 3, but you never know.
The features I don't think will be much of an upgrade. I haven't seen the specs on it, but the S4 is pretty snappy with the right tweaks, so yeah.
Also, you never know what other security measures Samsung is implementing on new phones. For some reason they're starting to lock stuff down more.
