I have a note 2 which says there is an update avaliable. The size is about 176mb. After it downloads the file the phone restarts and tries to install the update but than it restarts again and gives me update interrupted. I tried this twice and got the same thing.
Is anyone else getting this?
No issues with that over here.

I had the same problem and determined it to be related to the fact I had frozen and uninstalled some of the system apps. If they are not present, the update will fail.

I had removed all the AT&T bloat, Samsung services/accounts and some Google I don't use. After re-flashing stock I ran the update and it worked perfectly.
wont work without stock recovery either, I believe.
I would just flash a different rom and forget OTA updates
well, i re-enabled all of those bloatwares and other previously disabled system apps. But i still got the update interrupted error...

I had the Android 4.3 leaked test version and now I flashed using Heimdall (Linux's Odin) Android 4.1.2 choosing the FULL Flash option. the problem is that after it flashed and everything it booted, and the first error appeared S-Note force close. it keeps appearing over and over. Then when I logged with my Google account another fc...android.process.acore, so these 2 keep force closing endlessly.
I also notice some apps missing, not only S-Note, but only the Phone app. It's useless flashing again so how can I fix this problem in another way?
Now my phone is on Android 4.1.2 with missing stuff.

Reflash your stock firmware. dont tick the repartition. Just the PDA then flash. Be careful in flashing.

I have an LG Optimus G Pro (E980). It is rooted and Lokified. However, I am still running a debloated Stock ATT ROM. 4.1.2. Yesterday, AT&T began pushing an Update to my current Value Pack Build, with the message "Software Update is Available". with a request to select the push message to begin the update. Of course, accepting this update will result in my having to use LGFlashtools to reinstall the ATT .TOT file.
I have tried to find the [sys]elements that would kill this message, as accepting it is, ultimately inevitable. A slip of the hand and I am in for a few hours of rebuilding. I have frozen a couple of likely candidates (com.lge-fota something) and com.lge.permission something). While they have not proven to be needed for any of the uses of my phone, neither have they stopped the push message.
Does anyone know what might block this "Update is available" push message?

Thanks. In my case turned out to be dmclient.receiver. Could be the difference in builds. I see you have E98010P. I am still on E98010K and P was what I was trying to stop...

I was WRONG. Apparently it was just freezing SoftwareUpdate 4.1.0. Or maybe both combined. Not sure, buddy! I just did the one I told you and STILL got update notification. When I froze SoftwareUpdate 4.1.0, it didn't come back.
I have literally said yes to updating every time it pops up. I know it's the same, because it's the same size every time (293.3 MB). Not to mention I've said "accept" every time, installed, reboots my device, then couple days later it tells me to do it again. Another thing to note are the same 3 systems apps asking to be updated (Voice Mate Speech Pack, Voice Mate, Voice Mate Engine).
Text from the update:
This update will ensure your device is working at optimal performance with the Sprint Network. The update will require that your phone is rebooted and it will not be available for emergency calls while installing the software.
My LG G3 is the Sprint variant (ls990), rooted via Stump Root and on the stock android. I have used G3 TweaksBox, as well as installed Xposed.
PM me for a link to the screenshots.
Anyone with an answer? Google only refers to Lollipop updates that are still not here anyways

You know OTA`s will only be installed when a device is unrooted and doesn`t have any system modifications. Either disable OTA notifications or flash a stock rom and have root removed or flash a custom recovery and rom.

Yaar my issue still exists its not rooted and I am using in Pakistan - also my Roaming setting crashes as soon as I open it. Would be better to root and add custom ROM to it?
Hi I have a unrooted AT&T Note 4 that I'm trying to update to 5.1.1, and I downloaded the OTA 5.1.1 update and I had no problems, but after it finishes and reboots to the black screen and it try to install and every time I get a error message that says " DM Error" . Which I'm pretty sure means Digital Media(maybe it thinks I'm rooted, I remember that you couldn't use Google Video if you were rooted, and it had something to do with the same digital media. I've tried probably 10+ times with the OTA, and called Samsung and had me download a program (that wasn't Kies) to try and update it that way and that didn't work either? Is there anything else I can try?

Go to settings/app and clear data from Galaxy app store, see if that fixes it.

thanks for reply.
I cleared cache , data and same error
also samsung is forcing kid installer on galaxy app if you use update all so everything is manual update
Same same
Any updates on this? As Galaxy Store also requires the update, all my Samsung apps that also require updates are busted.
I'm living in China with my US s9+. Wondering if others are in similar situation?
I've installed an OneUI port on my Galaxy J7 (2016) phone that had Galaxy apps but no Galaxy Store, so I went ahead and installed it via an apk mirror and I got the same errors. I attempted to make the Galaxy Store a system app but it didn't change a thing. I've also noticed the app understands it has been quote "...downloaded from package installer" so I'm guessing that's the reason the app isn't updating itself either. Should I maybe try to flash it somehow instead of installing by apk? Anyone has a fix for this weird error? Is it even possible in my situation?
Me again!
I managed to fix my problem by installing the apk of the latest Galaxy Store and making it a system app. The app proceded to update everything successfully, hope this helps anyone!
