I have started compiling my own CM10 builds from source because I thought it'd be fun to learn! Just thought I'd share my results
I will be trying to update nightly! If not, it'll for sure be updated as much as possible. I'm busy with school and work so please, respect the golden rule of not asking for ETA's.

I got the compiling process down! and 12.04 worked a hell of a lot better than 10.04!

Well go down the line, the dependencies take a long time because the script checks to see if each one is installed. Then you go to 2 then 3.

I am not responsible if you brick your phone, for any bugs in the rom,
or if your cat decides to eat your phone because its now full of awesome.
This build is very much identical with the official build, u can switch from official and my build without any fear of having to wipe your phone.. the only difference is that i have the build script change the cyanogenmod version to more reflect like a nightly
I'll start build in the evenings, probably take a little bit depending on how much is new and the real wait is me actually uploading it.. (I have terrible upload speeds!)
Known Issues:
GPS lock takes a while, but functions
Instructions:
Download rom
Go to recovery
Wipe rom if coming from another rom, u dont have to wipe if ur coming from official nightly
Flash rom
Flash gapps, this u dont have to do every time just when u first come to the rom (the rom backs up gapps)
Boot into rom

the torrent file only contains the rom, it uses a webseed, code.google.com. u can use this if u ever have to pause to download or such.. u dont have to seed, i dont mind.. but others might like u to

i know im late for the party, but it started while i was on vacation... these builds should work just as good as the official nightlies.. since i build closer to when the new stuff arrives, this one tends to be less of a wait, instead of waiting a whole day...

no difference, I started doing this for the other gnexi' when they didn't build very often at all.. wanted to do it for sprint as well just to even out and not pick favorites... I do build earlier so there's that.. u won't have to wipe since the builds are the same..

If you're getting pretty much like that, you'll have the same on Desktop, cuz Androtransfer doesn't has any size bits, it only shows up progress bar.

I started to compile CM10.1 from source for myself a while back for fun and just to learn. And thanks to Cl3Kener for hooking me up, I have been building with Linaro 4.8.2. This is Vanilla as in Plain unchanged CM10.1 nightly. I sync with CM and compile every few days. Decided to post and share with everyone.

Installation instructions
1. Download ROM
2. Please back up your ROM before you begin! For best results a FULL wipe is required.
3. Reboot into recovery with TWRP or CWRM Touch
4. Flash the ROM
5. Flash 4.2.2 Gapps
6. Reboot
7. Let it sit a while.

Do you have a quickie primer on what Linaro is, and how is the ROM is different than official CM 10.1? I take it that the user interface is, for now, the same as the official CM release, and that linaro is more tied with performance.

Its exactly the same as CM10.1 nightly accept compiled with Linaro Toolchain. Which is supposed to improve performance.
Thanks for making these. Cl3Kener was building em for a bit, but its nice to have another person working on it as well. He can take the time off and focus on other builds. Thanks man.

He still is but his is Awsome Audio Mod.
Planning on syncing and building when I get to work in the morning. I build the ROMs on a server at work. They would take forever and a day on this old Lenovo T61

Why does notifications go to settings instead of notifications? How can I change it? ROM is great and super fast by the way.

@CNexus so far so good bud. Only issue I have found is lean kernel and dkp destroy the boot ani and the display like the blues are yellow and the background is a glitchy mess. I'm assuming they need to be updated since they're about a week or so old but giving you the heads up.
