Htc one dead again - HTC One X

Hi
i had a problem with my htc one stock last week, i think it was caused by downloading android jellybean, it wouldnt switch on, i eventually got it working for 3 hours, but then it died on me again, i was using it and all of a sudden it started closing all apps on my phone then it switched off.
it now wont switch on and the red light wont come on when you charge it, if you connect it to pc with usb it says usb not reconised.
anyone give me any help please
thanks

When you plug it in the pc, is there any sign somewhere in the device manager that says APX ?

Don't know mate, don't you have warranty ? If its in apx mode HTC probably is not going to check anything .... just replacing the mainboard and get it working again. Check at a HTC reseller or the shop where you got it from.

If you had a custom rom running the chances where fairly high that usb debugging is enabled. Don't know if this works on stock but try it ....
Connect the phone to the pc and open a command prompt in the fastboot folder on the pc and type
Adb reboot bootloader
Adb devices
See if it comes up with something .....

Hi,I have a problem with my HTC ONE X, the problem is that when you do not want to be connected to a computer or a phone or computer is not responding at all, today updated the system to 4.1.1 and still nothing. Please help me. Thank you

Can you be more specific ? I can't really get the story ......

Ok, so yes. When I want to connect my HTC to the computer, or phone, or computer is not responding. No notifications, signals etc. .. the only thing it shows that the phone is charging. I've tried to change the debug and still no reaction. I did the restore to factory settings, I changed the USB cables and still nothing.
What is the software of the computer ? Android 4.1 JB uses MTP data transfer, usb diskdrive is no longer available. Try to update the HTC drivers and HTC sync manager

Seems to me something went wrong along the update, if you did a factory reset and its still no good, you better go back to the store !
And it is now 100% stock ?

Go to the store and plug t in their pc and show them Its not working. You have warranty if its full stock !

[Q] Bricked Galaxy Nexus

Hi there! First of all I don't speak english very well.
My Galaxy Nexus hard bricked yesterday.
tl;dr no boot animation, no recovery mode, no download mode, no response from computer.
I thought it had just a low battery level, I found it turned off. So I tried to recharge it but it gave no signals, no battery icon, nothing.
After an all night long recharge I tried to turn it on, to enter in download mode or in recovery mode but nothing works. I also tried to connect it with my computer with and without battery, no response, no "OMAP" device found, no sound from Windows for plugging it in, nothing.
I found this thread here in xda, many people has been redirected to it and found their solution to the brick problem.
I tried to follow all the steps but when I plug in the phone and start the .bat file nothing happens, just stuck on "Waiting for device".
The phone is unlocked and rooted. I'm running AOKP JB-MR1 Build 2 and Franco Kernel for a month, never had problems with them, never installed other ROMs after that.
What should I do now? Should I try to do something or just bring it to a support center? The phone is still in warranty, there would be any problem because it has a non-stock ROM?
I've red about a jig to force the Odin mode, should I buy it? (I found this one)
Thanks for the help.
Have you tried booting into Odin mode

Yes, it doesn't work.
have you your warranty on it?
return it and get a new one
It's hard bricked and a JTAG unit may force it into download mode, if you send it in for warranty, chances are it won't be accepted as it was obviously tampered with and they would find out that your bootloader is unlocked and charge you more money than the device is actually worth to fix it.
I don't understand how it could of bricked if nothing has changed on the phone for a month or longer. Nothing was flashed recently so how can you hard brick the phone?

Yeah, that's why I'm not sure to send it in for warranty. So have I to try with a JTAG first?

I'm not understanding that too, I don't know what happened. Suddendly it stopped working. Maybe is just a battery problem, I'll try to use another one before bringing it to the shop where I bought it.
same happened to me, but I have an untouched phone with stock android. it worked well for over an year until today.
I see a lot of people having same issue, but they say that when connected to PC over USB the phone is recognized as OMAP.
for me the PC doesn't do anything...
any help? thanks

Try This !!
Arrange a 4 ohm resistor and try to attach it in ur usb plug port of phone ..it 'll force the phon eto go in download mode or say Fastboot mode.
then follow a tutorial to flash any rom..
its quite easy else ping me !!

Please could you explain a bit more how to go about this? I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus in a somewhat similar condition. This one is recognised as an OMAP 4430 device. I downloaded OMAP Flasher, installed drivers and tried to bring it back to life but after running the batch file I get this error: Operation FAILED (Remote: : Driver init error 0x00FF8080 - MMC CONFIG FAILURE). Can the resistor trick work on this and if yes, how can I go about it? I am not faint-hearted; I think I can handle it if given the right instructions.
After I tried everything i could from the internet, I went to a shop and tested to see if the USB is broken - and indeed it was. I replaced the USB component of the phone and after that it started.
Thanks guys

And why not in apx mode via nvflash?
APX is at the moment still a hardware brick where no real solution exist for. There is a thread somewhere about that. But when you get out of apx it probably kicks back in after several hours/a day or 2 max
It is strange to me that the phone occasionally moves into fastboot. Now charging the batteries.

Probably. I finally got into fastboot and clockworkrecovery but I am in error E: Unable to write to ums lunfile (No Such file or directory)
Then you need to upgrade the recovery. You have an older one. Try cwm 5.8.4.0 it solves that problem

In order to use nvflash you need the sbk which is something that hasn't been leaked.
Also the apx mode that you are stuck in is the low level recovery mode.
Nobody has found a way yet to safely enter and exit this mode.
Certain Hardware faults trigger this mode which means you should see these questions.
Why are you in apx mode?
What has caused you to enter this mode?
And the most likely answer is that something in your device has stopped working.
So even if you can use nvflash to reflash your devices partitions. It's still unlikely to work again as the thing that caused it to enter apx in the first place has not been addressed
Edit: stupid phone. Only loaded half of the comments.
I hope your in luck and back alive but note that it is highly likely that you will end up stuck back in apx soon

something that is probably true. I lost my phone, the police found him. phone returned to me with a broken display. I changed the display and since then I have found increasingly in apx mode.
I would swap the motherboard but I do not know where to buy it.

Yes it is hard bricked, unfortunately. You need to send it to the LG service centre. Do not attempt to unscrew the cover and open it up to reset the battery. It did not work for me and my warranty almost got voided because they found my thumbprints. However I pretended I did not know anything and they replaced my whole motherboard.

They will replace your phone, but you will have to pay. I'm from Singapore and that time I was told to pay SGD $350 to replace. But I did not pay.
I guess the price may have dropped because of the G2 and G Flex which are the current flagships. Maybe you would pay $250? I'm just assuming.
But for my place, once my warranty ends, I would have to pay $25 for labour charge and additional costs for parts replacment if there is anything wrong.

Its not hardbricked, I had the exact problem, just use the correct driver software specified in teenybin and flash the given image
Its HardBricked. You flash some software mod for an Alcatel phone. Is like i flash a ROM for galaxy s2. Obviously it will brick.

I dont think so. you can brick this phone. The red led means two things.
1. You dont have battery
2.Brick

well, battery was available, and i had the exact state, only can see the red led, then when connected to PC it showed QHSUSB_DLOAD something
then i changed the windows driver to the one provided by lg drivers( how to do that shown in teenybin thread) then after flashing it i was able to see the fastboot mode and then went into the recovery used adb sideload to restore the nandroid backup and my LG Phone was back to life again....
