Hello guys,
I'm trying to use an HTC Sense Keyboard on CM10 ROM, but it keeps crashing the input after turned on in the input menu.
I'm doing this because I am used to the default keyboard on htc sense 2.3.5, where i can choose the phone input type to numpad.
Can someone help me?
Thanks and Greetings from Portugal
Sense keyboard requires sense framework so it won't work on any cm or any other rom without sense.
You may try other keyboards like A. I TYPE. or swift key.

Is there any solution to have the same hardware keyboard on my azerty french desire z in a non sense rom as the sense one?
Some of functions using the fn key don't work.
I tried to use the keylayout file from sense but without results.
Thanks

Add them yourselves, not hard. I doubt that Simone had the time to do this.

About which keyboards from which android versions are you talking about?

You can allways download the gingerbread keyboard (by Steven Lin) from the market and use that as your input method. It`s my preffered keyboard.

You are using Desire HD? Then you are in the wrong section
But to answer your question, I assume that the original keyboard you are referring to is the one that came with the phone when you bought it right? That is the HTC IME keyboard.
Seach for HTC IME keyboard on the forums. There is a thread for it and you can even customize the looks if you want.
The keyboard that's on the CM7 rom is actually the official android keyboard.
Thanks guys appreciate it

I'm sorry if this has been answered before, but is it possible for me to get a keyboard like the HTC sense one with the old numpad with T9, 3 letters per key?
I run CM7 on the Desire.
I would appreciate your help.

Try this mate. You can theme your own keyboard that has T9 function. I use it on my desire running cm7.1

I have switched between Sense and AOSP countless times and the thing I noticed was that the keyboard on Sense is slower.
On AOSP it responds immediatly, I even notice it now on AOKP.
Now my question, how would I get the AOSP keyboard on Android Revolution 7.2.1? I have already tried extracting the AOSP keyboard from an AOSP rom and putting it in system/apps but it wouldn't open, just force close, any ideas?
Thanks!

Put the .apk file in ROM zip/system/app, reboot in recovery, reflash the ROM without wiping. Reboot and done.

I have tried that too, but when I changed the keyboard to the Google AOSP one, it just force closed and wouldn't open any keyboard.
Anyone know which one will work on Android Revolution?
You can also download them from the market.

Why not try Go Keyboard, I have been using it when I was on sense roms and it was fast, and has many add-on languages.
Hi,
I hate the stock sense keyboard, and as I've been running ARHD for a while, I just got a third party keyboard from the market...
For info, this one works well: https://play.google.com/store/apps/....android.inputmethod.latin.ice_cream_sandwich
