Ok, so a customer brought in a Note 2 T889V that was stuck in a boot loop. He admitted that he was at fault for flashing a T-Mobile ROM on the device. I found the original ROM from Wind/Mobilicity and flashed it with Odin v1.85. The flashing took fine, Odin said it took fine. Upon reboot, it got stuck in the same boot loop at the Samsung splash screen. I'm hoping that someone might be able to shed some light on this situation. Thanks

I had the same problem! I got the thing to finally boot after I flashed the SGH-I317M modem but then I had an IMEI of 0 and wasn't capable of making calls. I used NV_reader_writer to write my IMEI back but that's as far as I've gotten. Let me know if you find a solution.

I was trying to flash my phone (AT&T SGS3) back to stock today using this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1739426
While I was downloading, I accidentally kicked the usb cable out of the phone.
I immediately pulled the battery and restarted the process.
Odin said it succeeded but when I boot I get stuck on a screen where it just says samsung. Like the first screen you see on boot but it happens a second time after the galaxy s logo and the at&t logo.
I don't know how to fix this. Can someone please help?
Also I was going to try the not rooted stock roms from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848
But the downloads don't seem to be working. Anyone know where I can download the stock roms?

Maybe try going into recovery mode and do a factory wipe there.
That worked. Thank you, you just saved me in a big way
Glad it worked. Happened to me too. From what I learned when changing ROM types tw-> aosp you need to wipe data.

Okay here is the problem guys. I have my note three for three weeks now. Rooted it day one. But It seems with every phone I have addiction with flashing roms. I change around a lot. I have owned four devices this year. S4, note 3, nexus 4 and galaxy nexus. Rooted every device never had an issue that couldn't be fixed by flashing the stock tar via odin. The other day I flashed compulsion kernel and put me in a boot loop. So I did the natural thing and download the stock tar and flash via odin. First time was a bust. It said it was successful. Still put me in boot loop so I downloaded the stock tar from another location and tried again. Still no dice and still have boot loop. Tried flashing a custom rom after flashing the stock tar. Nothing still boot loop and I've also tried different recoveries and still nothing. I know its not hard bricked because I can still boot into recovery. I am actually a sales rep at a corporate tmobile store and did a warrarnty exchange and they are overnighting me another note three and I am going to send this one back. Little concerned as to having the rooted status on the device is going to go over. A couple times after I flashed the stock tar I got it to boot but then it would say "process system stopped responding wait or ok" then after clicked okay it reboots. I really hope there is someone out there with a solution.
HELP
This isnt your usual soft brick. If someone could please help I would appreciate it!!

I am also a noob:/ I have been on this website for a while now and have found nothing for my problem with my SGH-I317 Galaxy Note 2...
My Problem- I installed CWM custom recovery it wokred fine I installed CM 10 (that was a week ago). yestarday I went to turn on my phone when i woke up. It showed the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" and then went CRAZY the logo spazzed and then just turned black. I immediatly went into odin and flashed my only stock rom the SGH-I317 android 4.1.1 because I could only access the download mode. I went to go and do an OTA update to 4.3 (I think I messed up right here). It went fine up until it restarted and and froze on the Galaxy Note 2 logo. I can still access Download mode but I cant get into either stock recovery or the custom recovery mode. I have tried flashing three different stock roms and Odin says it passed but it just reboots and stays on that logo. Please help I am not in the position to buy or replace a new phone (I'm only 14).

Hello, I upgraded my girlfriend's phone up to Alpine ROM for SGH-T989D Telus model.
I recently got her a new phone and I wanted to sell this device off and tried to get it to stock firmware.
I was using Odin 3.09 and since it's been a while I accidentally put the md5 file in the BL section and started.
I realized when after a reset my phone was stuck on the boot logo that I must've made a mistake.
I downloaded the telus stock firmware from sam mobile again and flashed it using the PDA box this time. Yet, I still have no luck.
The phone is stuck on the Galaxy SII boot logo and just flashes the big S logo for hours.
Does anyone know how to get this phone up and running. Did I screw up the BL? Where could I download the original BL if I did.
Odin even says PASS! after everything has flashed and the phone reboots but still just stuck on boot logo.
Hey guys, recently I bricked my Samsung Note 2 (SGH-i317). I had the phone rooted, and accidently updated it. Guessing I made a big mistake :I . After the update the phone wasn't able to start back up. It's been stuck at the boot logo, where it says "Samsung Note II". I am unable to get the phone into recovery mode, but i can get the phone in download mode. With the phone in download mode, and using odin i tried a few times to boot in a recovery. Nothing seemd to fix the problem. After reading the formes a while, i tried to boot in a Pit file and also tried complete stock firmware from SamMobile. Neither of them had a change with the problem. Any ideas what might be causing the problem, and or how to fix it?

- Download from http://d-h.st/CDK
I317UCUBMK6-TZ-PARAM.zip
- Extract the I317UCUBMK6-TZ-PARAM.zip file to get to I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5
It has two files in the I317UCUBMK6-TZ-PARAM.zip. You should only need the I317UCUBMK6-TZ.tar.md5.
I kept both files in there, in rare case you will need to flash the param file.
