Mine just in case

thanks for the work you do

Croosbones always been stable....remember from my ns4g

Man this is soooo smooth!
But you should have included a more stable kernel, since mine locked up when I tried going to 1600 mhz

And it's back

Over clocking that much can cause instability. Its your choice, not the kernels fault.

Not to mention. Why would you even need to clock that high? I'm sure performance is hurt more than helped.

As others have already said, clocking at 1600mHz will make your phone unstable. That being said, there is a known bug in the ZenSERIES kernel's ZenX governor which will sometimes cause the phone to lockup randomly. Version 17 of the kernel is better and can be downloaded from here: http://xbones.org/android/v3.0.58-ZenSERIES_v17_cleaned.zip
If you either don't want to flash v17 or still experience lockup issues, switch to another governor such as "pegasusq" or "interactive" and don't clock your phone SO high! Talk about battery drain
With each release of the ZenSERIES kernel, bbedward refines and optimizes the ZenX governor. I include it because I've worked with him on Android for a long time and consider his work to be the best (that is my personal opinion).

I have it set for when I plug it into AC power it maxes out the CPU usage. I switched to lean kernel also.

Over clocking that high and forcing it to stay maxed out that high???
Your phone is going to commit suicide. You are causing damage to your CPU running it this way.

I may be making a bold assumption but I think increasing the timer rate of zenx may increase stability (say 40000 uS)

Install zen 17 posted by mwielgosz, and from trickstermod, apply the setting recommended above and the freezes should stop.

Try the zen kernel with the Pegasus governor. It runs great with it.

I havent ran into that error and mike hasnt said anything about it so I would try to download and flash the rom again.
If you can give me a little more detail such as is it a random error or are you usually doing the same things when it comes up?
Pull a logcat next time it happens too, would be helpful.

I'm not having any lag on any of the games I play, mind giving a list of the games giving you an issue, and did you change kernels?

No we really dont.....but i also am not gonna be as active as others and I'm a bit more conservative on features. You guys want the latest greatest stuff use Glados or Matr1x =3 This is my personal kernel i decided to share
Is this going to be bfs-only? Would you say your usage is more gaming or multitasking biased?
I'm looking for battery life first, quickness second.

Battery and gaming are my concerns, I consistently get 15+ hours of use and overall performance is good for gaming. Not really a multitasking person on my phone. And it will b bfs only

Ummm the more developers the better. If you can't keep up and just want to complain on everyone's threads why not revert your phone to stock and stop trolling? I'm grateful for all the development and the time the devs put into their products, whether I use them or not.

The green flash has nothing to do with ICS, it has to do with the kernel and whether or not the kernel is using voodoo mods.

Yes, using the "anykernel" script on installation it will support most any rom as it keeps the rom's ramdisk intact for highest possible compatibility.
I personally run an excellent (gsm only) aosp rom.
It'll run on cm9/(+kangs), aokp, aosp, like i said, most anything.

Better is a subjective term. You'd have to try it yourself to see if it is really better for you. But typically I believe Morfic goes for a lean and mean approach. Not a lot of unnecessary mods and a lot of undervolting and overclocking.

Will having your app and francos both installed at the same time affect one another? Or would you recommend uninstalling the one your not currently using?
I'd recommend uninstalling the non used one...seems in other trinity thread its a common issue.
Be sure to give trinity a good day or two of use. Yes the colors will be different than what your used to. But after the first day...everything else looks wrong except trinity colors.
On the ns4g trinity is a lean built kernel. Usually gets strong battery with impressive performance....even at regular CPU speeds. I regularly had a 1.1GHz kernel that performed as well as if not better than other kernels at higher clocks.
From what I've seen so far with the gnex things seem to be the same standard.
Last but not least....we get Dune references on a regular basis. /case rested

My kernel of choice w/out a doubt! Fast usb charge (Trinity toolbox app) works just like it says too. FAST! (edit added text) Phone has never been this cool either.

I also have a triangle in notification bar telling me the device has some modification and saying to reboot, coming from SEAndroid. But I doesn't bother me really. Overall still works. I suppose I could freeze the SEAndroid and the notification would go away.

CyanogenMod for the ls970 Optimus G built with Linaro
Linaro Wikipedia link for those who know not.
Shelnutt2 should take all the credit for this. All I did was compile with Linaro.
Not working:
You tell me
Download links are on the Downloads tab. Go ahead and hit that thanks button if you seem to get any boost from my Linaro compilation .
NFC is working great.
NFC while screen off is baked into this rom and has been. Battery life still increases thanks to 192Mhz under clock.
When I do I will be posting updates on the DevDB and also d-h.st (10/13 10/6 9/23 9/14 9/8 9/6)
For more on my kernel. Check out the new dedicated kernel thread here.
Changelog:
10/13/13
CM resync.
10/6/13
Dedicated kernel thread ^^. Resync with CM.
9/23/13
Overclock is back. I limited it to 1728Mhz. Resync with CM repo. as usual.
9/14/13
Removed overclock because no matter what I tried ended up with kinks. I am working on getting an improved overclock going but not yet. I still have the lower cpu clock of 192 Mhz available to keep battery levels high and of course compiled with Linaro. I've frustrated myself and others trying to put out builds nightly. So, seeing as it take my computer roughly three hours to compile this beast, I will be doing weekly builds instead. This way I can focus on getting a working overclock going as well as GPU overclock.
PS I doubled checked it doesn't cause black screens like 9/10 heh sorry about that.
9/10/13
Actual working overclock. Ignore the last post. Antutu score of 19332 on ondemand governor at 1.7Ghz.
1.8 Ghz is pushing it so becareful.
9/8/13
CPU overclock working damn near flawlessly. Mpdecision shouldn't be a bother. Intellidemand yet to come, as well as GPU overclock and more.
9/7/13:
Added overclock up to 1836Mhz from 162Mhz.
This CPU overclock has to be tinkered with. LG has put a program called mpdecision which hotplugs cpus and changes the min and max frequency, with the stipulation being that it's max frequency is 1512Mhz. This rom comes shipped with said mpdecision. Since we have a quad core, hotplugging cpus as needed is great for battery. So I suggest not utilizing the overclock, at least until I port intelliplug to our setup. If you want to utilize this overclock anyways, just to see what your phone can do, then just enter terminal enter "su" and then "stop mpdecision". Once mpdecision is stopped you can use this app to control how many cpus are currently online. To restart, just type "start mpdecision".
The added low cpu clock speeds work well with mpdecision so I still suggest updating for your battery.
Edit: I found that the issue so far on the current ROM might not be so much mpdecision as it the cpu governors not being reconfigured for the higher speeds. Technically you can set it to 1.8Ghz setting but it will only reach 1.7Ghz and if you set it to 1.7Ghz you still get the OC and it's super smooth. Plus that will work with mpdecision
Look for GPU overclock soon.

I was doing second links using dev host for a while.
No matter how you upload, I'd recommend posting a link in main post.
On dev-host you can create a folder, and just keep uploading updates with dates for us to download newest, similar to how cm10.2 is
On a side note, this does run very smooth

For the sake of everyone's convenience, I've uploaded the ROM to my Dropbox & Google Drive for the time being...

Google Drive
neighborhoodhacker: If you'd like me to remove these links let me know & I'll be more than happy to oblige. Just trying to make things a little easier on people until you get another link or two up.
On another note, I've been using the crap out of this ROM for the last few hours, and haven't had a single issue yet! I think I may have found my new daily driver...
Thank you for all your hard work!
Glad you all enjoy it. I'm taking some me time I will deal with links later and no one has any issues Morning Star

I'll help mirror for Linaro. I have 115gb of space on my Google Drive. Thanks!
Just another thing to expect from your local neighborhood hacker.

Thank you for this!
No issues as of yet faux sound is working great on CM10.2
The settings you recommend what benefit do they offer users?
Edit: also I believe you posted this in the wrong section it should be in the other dev section

I agree, this is an original, thanks again!!!!!
Also, I am having the notification light issue as well, appears to be an issue with the light going off after a notification was received. I'm at work, so I cannot do a logcat at the moment. Again, thanks for the custom kernel. Faux sound is a welcomed addition to the E980

Are you using the official CM10 from get.cm? Because in the original post it states that it is only compatible with that and that is what I'm using and not experiencing that issue.

Do you mind if I include this kernel in some of my ROMs? I started pulling in some of faux's cherry picks into mine but haven't had time to test
Have a chance to see what is needed to fix the light issue when using this with custom ROMs?

can you add cpu overclock? s4 can at run 2.3 ghz

Awesome.
Say, Wootever, could you make a Custom Kernel for those of us using CM10.1?
I wonder if there's a big difference between CM10.1 and 10.2 kernels.....
I want to know if you'd make one for stock roms
If it's possible
