My lock button is shot, and I was wondering if there was a way to give the volume rocker the same functionality for waking up the phone. I do not want to bypass the lock screen, such as with no lock, and I want to use the default lock screen not widget locker. Is this possible? I just want the phone to wake up when I press the volume button.
Side note, anyone else break their power button and replace it or fix it? It doesnt seem like it would be all that difficult, just wondering if anyone else has done that.
anyone have any solutions for this? I'm rooted so if there is any way to actually re-map the volume up key to have the function of the power key I could do that....
Cm7. 1 has an option to use the volume rocker to wake the phone.
Edit.... Decks rom might have the same option, as it's based off CM, but don't quote me on that as I have never used it.
Hi fellas,
I tried to find something, but without any luck.
Is there a way to disable the backlight of the buttons? I don't want it to turn on every time I hit a button.
So the Back button on my Epic 4G seems to be dying... you really have to press down hard on it for it to recognize a touch. All the other keys work fine, and the screen works fine.
I was thinking it would be really convenient to remap the Search key (as I never use it) to mimic the back key. Anyone know how to do this?
(Running CM9)
I had an option inthe setting for 4.3 to cause the volume keys to wake the phone. Can't find it in 4.4. Been searching with no luck. Anyone know of some app that mi ght be able to do this? I'm also looking for an app that allows me to add the power menu to the quick panel. Any help would be much appreciated. Power button is faulty on my phone so these options have become essential.
Hi
I have a problem with the soft keys and home button on my Note 8. They will work find responsing to both finger and s-pen touch. They then stop responding to finger touch althoug the menu and back buttons continue to respond to the s-pen. The problem is real intermittent because after a while they will start responding to finger touch again. I was on the Flex ROM and thought that this might be a problem so reverted to stock. This did not fix the problem. Has anyone had a similar issue? I thought it might be a hardware issue but when I boot into recovery the soft keys work fine.
Cheers
Richard
