I have a pedometer program installed on my phone but it only works when the screen is on. The developer says that sensor on Samsung phones does not detect steps properly when the screen is off. Does anybody know if there is a Mod that would fix this so that the program would detect steps even with the screen off? Thanks.

I have a Desire Bravo unlocked and the proximity sensor isnt working so the screen goes black everytime I make a call on the phone or skype.
The only way I have been able to use is through MIUI ROM since it allows you to turn off the proximity sensor.
Is there another ROM that can do this? OR can can someone guide me how turn the sensor off? There must be a way, any developers here?
Hello,
I'm trying to get some information about Android sensor interactions with the GN2 and power-save.
The issue I'm having is when the screen is off, applications that use the phone motion sensors seem to malfunction, so it would seem the sensors act differently when the screen shuts off or is turned off. Can someone point me in the right direction for a developer's guide that is specific to the GN2 or any information at all on sensor interaction with the GN2?
Thanks!
Hello!
I've started to have a problem with proximity sensor. While calling, the screen get black and there is no way to turn it on (it turn if the other persone close the call only).
I tried to install a proximity sensor controller utility and it says it's always 0cm distance. By touching it I found it unlocks sometimes under pression or temporarily if I blow in it (but after a little it locks again).
I searched in settings an options to deactivate it but I really can't find it..
Can you tell me where I can find the option to turn off the proximity sensor, please?
And is there any way to fix this problem eventually? However I'd be happy if I can just deactivate the sensor..
Thanks
I've got an issue with my proximity sensor. My phone screen likes to turn off and on by itself randomly.. I can find no way on pie to disable sensors, forcing me to revert to Oreo for Xposed to get the job done.. screen stays on now but I don't have Android 9. And I won't be able to get 10 either unless I fix it or there's a way to disable the sensor I didn't find. Can anyone out there help?
Solved. I opened the phone and physically disconnected.
Hi all,
I'm having a strange issue with my G4 H815, and I hope someone here can help!
The problem is that the phone won't rotate the screen when you rotate the device, and then the touch screen will not work. I must turn the screen off and then on again in order for the touch to work. But it will stop working as soon as I tilt the device (activate the gyroscope to rotate the screen). After some time this will force phone to restart and then it finds hard to boot up again.
I think it's gyroscope because the problem happens when I turn the device on the side for eg. when I open camera everything is OK but if I try to take a landscape photo it will immediately freeze. And I also did the testing procedure (277634#*#) when I test the motion sensor gyroscope values hardly change. Also in Settings>Display>Motion Sensor Calibration I get and error "Cannot Calibrate"
My questions are:
Where is gyroscope located?
Is it part of mb (soldered to the mother board)?
Does the screen digitizer affect gyroscope function? (because the glue on the top of my screen has come loose but I don't see it affecting anything other then proximity sensor).
