Any news on a Jellybean update for T-mobile SGS3?

I know there was a thread about this? But I couldn't find it for T-mobile...?

Samsung has announced that they are working on the update, but we may as well put it in the back of our minds at least until the international model gets it. The carriers in the US will have received the update then but they will have to tweak things to function properly with all their bloat apps, and do a period of testing to be sure nothings broken before they push it out to the masses.

More acurstely, you can expect an unofficial before an official 100% of the time unless you have a nexus.

Yes, Samsung will provide an update soon. Regarding CM10.1 you will see nightlies in a week or 2.

Whaaa ? They said in first q of 2013 as far as i remember

4.2 will come in the first quarter of 2013 for the Note 2

I have my GT-N7105 with 4.1.1

I do seriously think the will be an update. This is after all the flagship of Sammy phones and runs naively on jb.

You won't see no official updates for a while.. you'll find leaks here and there come up..
Far as CM10.1.. recently posted on their G+ they said that they have 4.2 running smooth on Exynos 4 chips.. not as smooth as Project butter.. but just your normal AOSP build

What about 4.2.2 or 4.3 for Note II from Samsung

We heard that we will get 4.3 - No words from Samsung yesterday.
Does anybody have an idea about it.
Post on this at least to protest against Samsung about their attitude against our phone. Lets create some pressure on them to release it fast.

I have been waiting for 4.3 update or news in 4 september but only received 4.1.2 small (~105mb) performance update yesterday.

You will probably not get the expected 4.3 update till months after the launch of the note 3. Its that simple..
GT N7105 with XDA Premium......that is all......

i prefer to swith directly do 4.4 kitkat.. the actual 4.1.2 is stable and ok.. imho

I would probably be satisfied with 4.1.2 except that I was running 4.2.2 on my Galaxy S in January in already. Ok, admittedly that was a custom rom, but still, to DOWNGRADEfrom a 3 year old device to my shiny new Note ll, and then never get an update is hard to live with and, IMO, entirely unacceptable. I agree that we should make a noise about this and stand up and be counted!

Really? I't seems too early... at least for note 2. We've been in 4.1.2 for an eternity! :laugh:

Exactly this. Just jumped from 4.2 to 4.3 (and more recently 4.4) and the changes are phenomenal

Damn, you guys believe everything you read. I could have made that spreadsheet and taken a picture from my phone for all you know.

LMAO 4.3 has not been seed to N2 users other than India and u r dreaming about 4.4
and actually 4.4 isnt that big update over 4.3 IMO

Exactly, Officially Note 2 is supposed to get KitKat update by April.
Months after the note 3 gets the update.

A Samsung insider says that a couple of former flagships will get updated to the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat within the next couple of months. Namely, the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 should get the update by the end of March this year.
A Samsung software engineer with knowledge on the subject claims that both devices will be updated in late Q1 of this year, not long after the expected Galaxy S4 KitKat rollout. The update will include performance tweaks and updates, and a few new software features.
The transparent status bar, new print feature from settings, and immersive full-screen mode will be included.
The KitKat update for the S3 and Note 2 is expected to be outed in phases, which means that carrier branded variants will likely receive the update as much as a full month later.

yes there will be an update as samsung generally gives 2 major updates for its flagship phones so note 2 got its first update that is 4.3 so there will be an update
now the question when....
hopefully in april (as told by sammobile.com)

Now or March/April (later if Samsung decides to drag again.)
