hi, and much thanks in advance!
Can I change the "country" on my phone ( which is asked upon first in initial set up )
I ordered an unlocked note 2 from Expansys,
have been using on At&t in the USA,
now using Korean sim in Seoul.
Google maps navigation is not working here in Korea for some reason....will changing my set "country" fix the issue..
and if so, how can I do this without a reset?
thanks again!
I think it's possible to run the setup wizard manually, that should be googleable. Or you could try a csc change, with an app like nitrality or similar.

I decided to try the Qtranslator.apk from the international Optimus G pro and so far it works quite well, it works even better with a purchased dictionary from play store. now not sure if this is part of the Qslide apps from international version but it does not show up in Qslide for me. If this is part of ATT version of the phone let me know as i didn't notice it in my phone. Thanks
Extract and install normally, done. http://www.blownco.com/index.php/doc_download/13554-qtranslatorbin-apk-for-optimus-g-pro-only
EDIT: over 30 downloads and 1 thanks! C'mon guys lol
when download starts i get an unsupported content pop up but i downloaded it anyway but yet to install, going to see what other people with at&t version say. if its all good, thanks for the app!!!!
Is it only for the att version or for the f240K version as well?

Doesn't work on Nexus 4
I recently found out about this app after trying to find an alternative to WordLens that works with the Thai language, as I am living there. Apparently, this app DOES work with Thai, but not with my phone! Is there a workaround of any kind or do I have to learn to read the old-fashioned way? It's not easy, by the way, from Wikipedia:
It has 44 consonants, 15 vowel symbols that combine into at least 28 vowel forms, and four tone marks with five sounds.

Where are they? I've seen them in review videos. The option to highlight the word then select dictionary, English to spanish, etc would be handy. Is it only missing on Verizon or does anyone know?
I just tried this for the first time and it gave me the option to download the English version and it worked. I do not see any other options though.
English is the only option.

Damn Verizon they can never leave things alone. That was one thing i was like cool i can use Spanish one also been paying with learning it and figured hey that would help. They always seem to take out the small stuff that you can use like the settings screen can't change to another view that the reviews have either.

I have the sprint variant and i too only have the english dictionary. Sucks.
Is there a way to get the files for the other dictionaries? It really sucks that I only have access to the English dictionary. Using Verizon.

I dunno. Hopefully someone will figure it out..I really hate the way carriers strip things to make room for their garbage.
The Tmobile version also only has English. Could have something to do with rights inside the USA. Anyway hope we can download them somewhere
Anyone figure out how to download other language dictionaries? I have the same problem with Tmobile Note 4....does it have anything to do with being rooted?

Global rom, extract, and then move with root? Possibility.
Quite irritating.
There must be some way to install languages on US version. Please see this video of 10 hidden features of Note 4. This guy has T-mobile note 4.

Is the TMob version a different Sku? IIRC with the N2 somehow they are able to flash global roms.
Anyone have a work around for ATT showing in the status bar?
Stupid that we should have to see carrier name up there. Motorola lets you remove, not seeing option from LG.
Haha I'm almost 100% sure this will require root access at the very least.
Hmmm... Interestingly no carrier logo or text on the TMO version!

It's an AT&T thing.
Exact reason why I purchased my first International phone 815. Couldn't stand seeing it on my G3.

Root and Xposed framework would (should) address that.
Not sure if people still were wondering about this. Download a build prop editor and find "ro.build.target_operator" and change it from ATT to OPEN then reboot. Logo will be gone.

Hi, I'm new here so excuse me if I'm making any sort of mistake.
I've got a realme x2 Chinese variant and it's a great phone other than a few issues with coloros which by the way all fixable when i searched the options well.
Any way i can't find the preferred network mode 4g or 3g in options and i think I've saw that option before i deleted all unecessary apps.
So what I'm saying is does your x2 have the option or not ? And if not can you recommend an app for that because i tried a couple and they didn't work.
Thank you
Can't anyone tell me if it exists in their phone??

I'm now using boldbeast recorder and it works on my exynos note10+ but i don't really like it...
do you use other call recording apps?
Skvalex call recorder
Root is needed if your csc does not allow now native call recording.
The truth is that this one is far superior to everything else.
Cubeacr works great

Yep. This is the one that I use. Works great. UNLESS you are using a bluetooth headset. If you do that it only records YOUR side of a conversation. But if you are actually holding your phone to the side of your head to talk it works realy well.
I've tried to sideload the Google recorder but it doesn't work, maybe it's for snapdragon only

Speaking in regards to enabling native call recording on a N975U via Thai SIM...
Once you boot up with a Thai SIM, shut down and reinsert the local (USA) SIM, how long does access to the native CR app last? Would it survive an OTA update on the local SIM even if it does last past reboot?

i didn't know it was even possible... but after googling it, it seems that this trick also changes other features on your phone like samsung pay... it forces the phone to work only with thai credit cards

Hi everyone. quick question ... I have read (I don't remember where exactly ..), that by installing the CSC THL (THAILAND), call recording works easily on ROM stock. Has anyone tried?
Inviato dal mio SM-N975F utilizzando Tapatalk
I tried them all and the one that works flawlessly on my note 10 is ACR Pro.

Hi there,
Yes, I have the European Exynos 512gb dual sim Note 10 plus (glow) . And the Thai Sim reset trick does work (like it did on my Exynos note 9 too), just remember to do a backup before issuing the “needed“ factory reset.
I bought my Thai SIM on ebay uk, more than 2 years ago (never activated) and still does what is supposed to do (enabling native Samsung call recording feature).
Unfortunately on my Note 20 Ultra (decided to go for the Hong Kong Snapdragon version, due to battery and performance issues related to the Exynos model), and the Thai SIM swap does not work on it (sadly).
So I had to go back to the ACR Pro licenced version (Bluetooth calls recording still doesn't work, unfortunately), nonetheless please grab XDA Labs version over Google Play (or due to some regulations you will end up having a less good experience).
Hope that helps.
Regards.

Yeah, if your holding the phone to your head it works great! But if you're using a Bluetooth it doesn't work worth a damn!!!!! I must have gone through 12 different call recorder apps, and not a single one works with a Bluetooth headset! The only exception is TapACall, but it is not automatic and you have to make a phone call then merge that call with the TapACall app in order for it to recorde the call!!!!

So true, on top of that (Bluetooth calls silence), recorded files are not seamless integrated into the phone app (like the native call recorder), and that's really sad.
Thanks for the ”TapACall” tip, didn't know it existed...

Just used the same Thai SIM on my wife's new Note 10 plus (Exynos) successfully, because it's a valid THL CSC code for the Exynos variant.
Now I'm just waiting for a China +86 SIM card just to try the same trick using a 'good' SM-N9860 CSC code (CHC) with call recording native feature active...
