[Q][ION] HDMI Remote control doesn't work? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Okay, I have an Xperia Ion contecting with a Sony Bravia klv-32s310a via hdmi. I did enable Remote Control in android setting & hdmi control in TV menu, tried different port but nothing worked. I still can't use TV remote to control my Ion (navigation buttons & red, green, yellow, blue buttons do nothing)
I thought all Sony products should work with each other , anyone got ideas?

Bump!
Nobody using HDMI? D:

I had the same problem with LG TV, but i solved it, i bought PS3 Controller haha

[Q]HDMI Cable Connection-TV Remote

So i bought a HDMI Cable for my Arc S and connected everything
its working fine and shows the screen on the tv, but when i open the
3D Gallery it goes into the 3D mode and says, i have to control with
the tv remote from now on.The problem is when i press something
on the remote i cant control anything on the phone and cant
watch my 3d panorama pics. I have a LG-LW45 Series TV
anyone who can control the gallery with the remote?
There should be a setting somewhere in TV's menu for allowing control of phone using remote. You need to turn it on!
the feature advertised by lg should be simplink,
but when i press the simplink button on the remote it doesnt seem to
find any controllable devices
Buy a Sony Bravia TV?
Simplink is just like SCART used to do, switch to the right channel when a device (dvd player) is turned on and it should be able to control the device, but that probably only works with LG devices.
What you need to control your arc is CEC (Consumer Electronics Control)
LG describe simplink as "hdmi- cec", good luck!

Roku remote as controller

So today I successfully paired my Roku remote to my a100 for emulators.
1. Turn off your Roku.
2. Open the battery compartment, press and hold the pairing button for about 2 seconds until the two green lights on the front of the remote light up.
3. On your tablet turn on Bluetooth and scan; the remote should come up 4. Pair using 0000.
5. Configure using your favorite emulator
6. Profit
Note: Virtual keyboard doesn't work when the remote is paired to your tablet.

What would be the purpose of doing this? Doesn't the Roku app already let you use your Android as a remote?
I'm using the Roku remote as a game controller for my tablet to play sonic, super Mario bros etc.

Xbox 360 controller to Galaxy Note 2.

Hi guys.
I have got a USB OTG cable and a wired Xbox 360 controller. I have used this to connect my Xbox 360 controller to the phone. However, when I try to play Shadowgun Deadzone nothing happens when using the controller yet my touchscreen responds ok in the game. I thought Shadowgun natively supports the controller? When I connect the controller to the phone all that happens is the four green lights around the large "X" button simultaneously flash on and off and nothing else. Could any of you guys possibly tell me what could be wrong please? Thanks for any help.

So im curious, since the controller dosent really work smoothly with most side loaded games from the plays store. what is everyone using to play them (ex minecraft)? Are you using a app to smooth out the bumps or have you used a ps3 or wii controller and one of the many apps for that? i havent really found a good way yet what about you all?:fingers-crossed:

I am mostly removing apps which are not working good with controller but would like to know how to get them going.
but there are quite a few application which are working too good with the controller.
Well considering Ouya goes retail at the end of this month they really need to start working on the controller issues. And clean out a lot of those games, half of them don't work and the ones that do really really need work on their controller. Also a really nice feature would be if I could hold down the Ouya button to have the option to turn off the console like Xbox and Ps3, I hate getting up to turn it off.
How does ones get a ps3 controller to work?

you can connect the ps3 via blue tooth and use a ps3 controller app like (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...kaW9zLnNpeGF4aXNjb21wYXRpYmlsaXR5Y2hlY2tlciJd)
and that should work havn't tried it yet though
You would only need that app if the game doesn't natively support it.
If the developer has done a good job, then the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers should work just fine.
For example, Bomb Squad natively "just works" with the standard Ouya controller, wireless and wired Xbox 360 controllers, and PS3 as well.
This weekend we played 6 player Bomb Squad (you can have up to EIGHT players on one TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!) with 2 Ouya controllers via BlueTooth, 2 off-brand USB wired Xbox 360 controllers, and 2 official MS wireless Xbox 360 controllers (connected via the Xbox 360 USB wireless adapter).
BTW, the adapter I am using for Xbox 360 wireless controllers is http://www.ebay.com/itm/370777929957?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
was like $11 and works great, also works on my PC.

Nope, you just plug in the ps3 controller via usb and push the reset button on the back and/or the ps3 button. Bluetooth will get messed up and refuse to turn on. Shut down the Ouya by holding down the power button, unplug the controller, start it back up and all your Ouya and PS3 controllers will connect just fine (if it doesn't work right away, go into the menu to pair controllers and just hold down the ps3 button instead of the ouya button and it will connect). I use 2 Ouya controllers and 2 PS3 controllers.

Fire TV with Bravia Sync

Used to use my Sony Kdl-nx503 remote to turn on the fire TV (v1) through Bravia sync but seems like the update to the latest os5 might have kaputted this is anyone else using a Sony TV and if so does it still turn the fire TV on from sleep if you select the hdmi channel?
When it's on the Sony remote works flawlessly just no ability to wake from sleep anymore.
No biggie but it used to save me having to look for the original remote which the fairies must mysteriously move when I'm not looking
I'll get another hdmi cable too just to check that that's not the problem.
Thanks in advance.
I am using sony remote
its not possible to wake up from sony remote by pressing any keys.
Just switch off and switch on the sony tv, the fire tv will wake up from sleep.
This is how I use it.

No joy it used to wake from sleep automatically when I selected the hdmi input on the Sony as the Bravia sync woke it up but nothing now. Checked the hdmi control settings in the Sony menu but they're set correctly so the only thing I can think of is the cables knackered or the updates broke the ability of it to wake it from sleep as it's worked faultlessly since I've had it. Oh well looks like I'm either using the fire remote or using the app on the phone to turn it on.
