Hi everybody,
My ion have moded smallapp. And my Search Button is not often used. Now, i want to remap search to smallapp. Is there any method? Because i have tried remap SEARCH to SWITCH_APP, but result is just recent app of android 2.3 and before.

You have to change something on the framework i think or something like that plus the remap, hopefully someone can do it or know what to do?

Noone has been able to do this?
What file we have to modify? Is it framework-res.apk? I can give it a try. What ROM are you using?

The modification is on the /system/framework/androidpolicy.jar file, I'm using the XTX Experience rom LT28h 6.1.E.3.7 is almost stock with small apps.
The file from the complete stock 6.1.E.3.7 would work but here you go the one im using just in case...

Just curious if it would be possible to install the SGS3 keyboard on CM9/10/AOKP? I haven't been able to locate which apk I would need to install yet anyway. I just thought I'd ask and see if anyone had managed to do it.
You can locate Samsung keyboard apk inside your stock ROM. Aokp is different ROM u can't use TW apk ($amsung) for aosp/aokp/CM9-10
Search for help b4 u ask.

Hi,
i have one Xperia S with firmware 6.1.A.2.50 ICS, i try the mod for on-screen button from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738094
I using the file in same post to uninstall the mod but now i have a lot of bug in my android like the camera say error memory and can´t take pictures, when i want turn off the phone the description is Silence Mode in instance of Turn Off, when i have one wirreless network aviable i receive the notification with the icon of low batery but with over description
I think the file i use to remove the mod (Framework?) is not the for my firmware...
Can anyone help me, i don´t want reflash my phone only because of that
I have original firmware *.ftf file i used in my phone, can i extract framework upload in phone?
Thanks for your help
There are indeed some bugs. Just recover your old framework and it should be fine (no on screen buttons, though)

Can i use flashtool and upload only the framwork to phone using tft file?
Nope. You'd had to reflash the whole system with that.

hey all i have an experia s which i have installed cyanogenmod 10 to and there is no gesture typing which i really need for single hand typing as it is faster and far better, is there any way to get this again. any help is greatly appreciated
CM10 = Android 4.1 = No gesture typing.
Install 4.2 keyboard from the play store,.that's the fastest way.
A better way is to flash xperia keyboard or 4.2 keyboard (all on XDA, use Google)
Why install cm10 anyway if the s has stable 10.1? :envy:

Hi ... I am new on android devices and I am facing problems with the GPS in my country (Jordan "in the middle east") it takes ages to connect the GPS with IGO software for example, and sometimes it doesn't connect at all ... I think the best solution is flashing new os on the device but I am confused and don't know what is the best custom rom! my current software is ICS 4.0.4 I927UCLJ3 ...I want everything work wifi, bluetooth, keyboard light... etc
can anyone help me with that... I tried many times to flash a new rom but the problem is with the kernel... when i flash the kernel something goes wrong and the mobile keeps restarting... could you help this matter... please with the download links :crying:
thanks.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you haven't done a search specific to the gps locking issue on ICS ...
assuming your phone is rooted i suggest you download es explorer.. you will need to modify /etc/gps.conf and sirgps.conf. the content can be found with a search..
otherwise revert back to stock gingerbread rom for everything to fully work.
Thx for reply... Yes u r ryt.. I am using cm 10.1 and there is a "sound bug" well i am waiting for the fix

it started with 211 and now we have it too on some 96 base room
what im talking about is Hebrew language IH on sony stock keyboard i had look for it but didnt find it there
is there anyway to add it back there ?? anyone know where i can start ??
i tried reflashing the Keyboard but that didnt help

i dont think that is posible to add it to the stock keyboard, you will have to use a aftermarket keyboard to get what you want
i couldent find japanese in 200/211 but i had in 96

Go back to the last firmware with the keyboard you desire, make a backup with titanium backup, go back to the firmware you are currently at, and restore the keyboard
