Hey guys here's a link to ACiD Audio Engine. I've been using this audio engine and the results have been pretty great.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002367
Use the universal installation in aroma and remember if you install walkman don't install any add-ons.
I personally skip the walkman installation and use the noozy add-on.
Please do a nandroid backup before trying and do not install on top of nocturnal's music mod as ACiD's site states any other music mod could cause issues.
Remember not to use music player equalizer as the installed app changes sound system wide.
Also don't forget on first boot let device settle and then reboot.
BTW this has worked on my epic 4g, gs3, touchpad, asus transformer and evo 3d with just about the same results: amazing control over sound with great clarity and bass.
Thanks for viewing and give thanks to the acid forum if you find this useful.
Have u installed this on the lgog? I tried and half way through aroma freezes then I have to soft reset just curious if youve got it running

I do but, I don't run any of the roms on the forum. I am still stock, rooted and unlocked but, I don't run any custom roms. I had noticed I lose lte with the customer roms.
It runs awesome though.

You won't regret it. Remember this changes settings system wide so don't use in app equalizer. Go to the main app of whatever add-on you used. I personally use noozy and the results are great clarity, great equalizer and very adjustable bass.

Remember you can install both options in aroma where it mentions the type of phone you have, including the one with framework. It just has to be the universal options. I did that and it's been great.
Just flashed this over the Lifeless rom and WOW! the bass difference is huge! I used the aroma installer and it worked like a charm! :good::good:

I don't use the one in the player. I adjust the settings directly from the noozxoide app. Don't use in app equalizers as the effects will be negative.

Im using xboarders GB/CM ROM at the moment and its working flawlessly...but I always liked the dialer and keyboard (touch) of the stock Froyo. Is there an apk or something that i can add to it to change those two from the gingerbread style to the froyo style?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Aha you should ask XBoarder. Am sure you would have to change some things to make it properly work.

Its the shiz!!! Allows you to increase volume for bluetooth, phone speaker, and internal sound. Gives you effect options, graphic eg, and compression. I highly recommend it if you like to use your phone for music in car or on any sort of external speaker from headphones, aux connections, or bluetooth

Same issue here. ATT stock rooted with CWM. I used the no tripping flash counter root with stock_root67.zip file if it matters. I can toggle and change settings but they have no effect. I've already changed the settings to Awesome Beats under sound.

Thanx, it worked - I also read PowerAmp can also cause this ( Settings > Audio > Adv Tweak > Disable Direct Vol ) > although it didnt make a difference it mine, basically it needs Google Music Play
EDIT: So noticed the following
1) Works with Google Play Music > Speaker and Headset
2) Bluetooth setting doesnt work however the Speaker side controls the Bluetooth headset amplification
3) Doesn't work for Online Radio ( Tune in )
Awesome Beats
Try this, this works for Galaxy Note and it also works on SGS3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749434

I've tried it on two boost phones before (marquee and galaxy prevail) and found that volume + didn't really do what I wanted it to do. Then I tried an equalizer app from Google play and it was great. But awesome beats is spot on. Not like the beats audio drivers that I used to try that made all my equalizers fc on me.it's got a great ui and makes a great sound

Just buy GOOD headphones and you will not need beats... "skull candy"

Beats is just an equalizer, nothing more. These other guys are correct.
So I found this beats audio app for root users on the android market, installed it and it soft bricked my phone. Currently restoring with Odin because I couldn't get into recovery. Just an FYI I guess. Evidently this is a common problem with sgs3 users

Using spint s3... dw last night the beats audio app.... it looks great but then the hidden apps start installing on my phone..so i uninstall it, NOW I heard MY SElf double using the phone.... Doing a factory restart as we speak...
I am not real familiar with beats audio, even though I have seen many ROMS that list it as included. Does it have any benefits to install a clean and working version of beats audio?
Sorry, not trying to hijack thread, but might as well ask if it has any upsides.
There are better audio improvement hacks and apps out there.
Look/search through the themes and apps section here and also in the Android Development Forum (the main one, not this one).
Ill post a link in a few from my computer.
I haven't used any of them, but im basing my statment on what many others have reported.

I had the exact same problem with the echo. Damn it was annoying too. I deleted it and reinstalleď the Rom and it went away so it def was the app. I am on T-Mobile s3 now and I won't dare download it again. Not sure if it's limited to Sprint s3 or not but I don't intend to find out
tmobile s3 running wicked. I still use a t9 text app so excuse the errors
There are many mods you can find on the forums that affects sound quality like the AC!D soundmod, viper, etc. I'd recommend you check those out before installing something off the playstore.
I've searched for this and also posted in the AC!D thread in the Themes & Apps forum to no avail.
I installed the universal version (5-1.1) on my S3 running AOCP and ktonsez kernel. It works great but I lose the ability to use Voice Search and speech to text in my messaging app. Any idea on what is causing the interference? I haven't found an app that will work with Pandora and bluetooth except for this and I really miss it! I was using the fixed version 2.0 when I was on Liquid Rom and everything worked fine, but it will not work on AOCP.
Does anyone have any suggestions of a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
On the acid thread in themes,it says that the download link is down because of changes being made for galaxy versions,so maybe hang on a bit ,there are probably fixes on the way?

I'll give that a go and see if it works. I want to say I tried it before and added Nooz, but didn't work.
Tried it again with Noox and no difference in sound. Voice search and speech-to-text didn't work either.
