im pretty sure i flashed the evervolv for the other gs2 on my tmo version and it worked just fine. like a lot of roms
I know that xboarder56 was working on one, but thats the skyrocket and his device tree thats released is not complete/finished. A lot of stuff was not working in it as well. I am looking to compile it specifically for the t989/hercules.
Why doesn't everyone mention the very hard to find zip your supposed to flash with it?

xboarders build definitly works on the t989 I flashed it just to check it out and it worked fine as far as what was supposed to be working. I was able to browse the net with the browser via wifi. Last I checked it was far from done though. It still is a promising sign and funny thing was rotation worked fine and I didnt flash any different kernel. Oh and what is this very hard to find .zip you are talking about? I havent heard anything about that yet.
There is no secondary zip required. If you have the ROM zip you can flash it just like normal and it works on our phone. I say it "works" meaning that it boots, loads the apps on it and is very responsive. The camera, SD card and GSM are not there yet, though.

Ok, if an ICS rom existed that was fully working then I would not be posting this. Hence why I posted this. This is a thread asking for help from others to get a fully working daily rom going.

I came across this Team-Venum Wicked Sensations v1.0 SGH-i747 which I really wanna check out but, I have a quick question. Do I have to install the "Kuban updater fix", and if yes, do I have to reboot when thats done or can I go ahead and install the ROM then reboot? Hi. i have been watching that thread also to try it out. Looks like there are a few little issues they may have worked out so Im just waiting to see. The updater I believe is how you can update the ROM and customize it. I dont think its "needed" but looks like it would be a great benefit. Again I did not flash this ROM yet but what I would do is first just flash the ROM and then reboot. Make sure it boots and everything works. If that's all good then I would flash the updater.

It has working A2DP by pulling some stuff from the 12-26-12 build and implementing them into 1-15-13 and might have some broken features. If anyone finds any broken features then let me know and I'll ad them to this post.

A2DP definitely works as expected. Audio is busted in g+ hangouts (think this got fixed in the caf audio stuff that happened in later nightlies). But that's a decent tradeoff. Haven't seen any other issues other than the ones everyone knows about from the regular nightlies- occasional flicker, lag after some games, etc.
How do you install this? Since its ATT, I get an error with CWM6 on my TMO S3.
Is there a version out there for the SGH-T999 (d2tmo)? I'm guessing since this is the d2att version it won't work on the SGH-T999, right? Thanks for fixing this issue.
I've flashed about 7 different att ROMs on my phone without editing anything before flashing. They work fine after unless trying to use something T-Mobile specific, like T-Mobile voicemail. I didn't fix it just brought to t999s attention.

I would try flashing like this.
Boot into recovery
wipe system
flash A2DP working Cm-10.1 rom
Flash gapps
reboot and test, if it doesn't work then wipe.

I've installed dozens of roms over the last few years, including some AT&T ones, but this one specifically gives me an error when installing the rom. I always wipe everything when going to a new rom. I even downloaded it a 2nd time incase the first one was corrupted or something.
This isn't too important to me anymore, cause I found a 4.1.2 rom I like, that has BT and Hotspot with encryption working, which neither seem to work with any 4.2 roms. But I am curious why it wasn't working.
so madmack's patch has made it into the latest nightly correct? no need for the rom he posted, just use the latest cm10.1 nightly?

I looked at things merged and an a2dp commit was but seen that more then a few times added with nothing changed so I'm going with a no on that one dude.

I loaded a later version dated april 11 - 2013 but bluetooth and voice search is not working. Any pointers would be appreciated.

ahhh nothing says XDA like a thread being raised from the dead
ok, first off, this is for the S3, not the S2 Skyrocket as your sig says you are using
second, go to the CM download page for your device (http://get.cm/?device=skyrocket) and grab the most recent nightly or get the stable version of 10.1 for it here (http://get.cm/?device=skyrocket&type=stable) dated June 24th. those should work fine
third, go to http://goo.im/gapps and grab the first file there, dated 20130301 for 4.2.2
make sure your recovery is updated (CWM or TWRP) then flash CM first, then gapps
then go here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1399) for the AT&T Skyrocket forums

This has worked wonderfully for me,
i find that it wont connect to data untill i go into the dialer and enter *#*#DATA#*#* once
so far no bugs that i can tell.......:fingers-crossed:
will report after i take it for a spin.
and do you mind if i post a link for this rom in the Sprint LG G2 Dev section? or maybe have the Mods move it to the right section?
ill se if i can put a request for this thread to be moved, this is great work.

Issues found
Okay been running this for about a week now and this is what I found so far:
-MMS doesn't work, I receive notifications for them but never download
-Wifi and bluetooth are buggy, toggles from the Quick Settings menu tend to get stuck after 2-3 toggles and require a reboot to fix
-Dialer doesn't pick up touches sometimes
-NFC gets stuck in on position and causes massive wakelocks. I ended up disabling NFCService and Tag Service to stop the issues
-Mobile Networks Section has GSM settings in it
-Flash seems disabled in AOSP Camera app
-Rotation issues like other AOSP roms
Besides that though the ROM is surprisingly usable for being one of the few roms available for the Sprint G2, I would definitely like to see your build code since it looks 90% in working condition.
I flashed and it booted and stuck on carbon logo.
Am I missing the gapps file?

Yes but it should work without gapps go into the Verizon PA 4.3.1 and get those gapps. Did you wipe?

usually the culprit of not wiping. its a given that you need to wipe every time you switch roms especially from stock to custom rom.
Just wiped and successfully flashed this ROM... so far awesome!
Still missing a few things that i'm thinking the 4.3.1 Gapps file will fix.. So can anyone provide me the link to download that file??? pleeasse!!

Normally I get really ticked off with people saying to Google it, but seriously, it's freaking Gapps....It's literally the easiest thing to find in the entire Android development universe. I Googled 5 letters, and it was the very first thing that came up, or second(if you want goo.im directly).....

Thanks to those that helped me out... I have a new g2 and wanted to install the right file. I have no idea what a gapp file is, let alone what it does. Better be safe than sorry.
Anyhow, the link I provided worked for those that are in my boat.

To update official software, you need to be on stock software, unrooted, with stock recovery What version of Jelly Bean is your CleanBean ROM based on?DO NOT take any updates while rooted or on custom ROMs.
Yeah don't ever take official OTAs while rooted/on a different rom other than stock. Hell i never even take an ota for the rom that I'm on, i always do things myself to ensure everything works right. Your build.prop needs to be updated to trick the OTA update, check the developer's thread to see if he posted one for you to flash

It has all the answers to your questions regarding ota updates (he even made a guide on how to edit your build.prop yourself!)
Be careful when editing your build.prop though, I'm sure CNexus includes this in his guide but just in case, make a copy of it and store it somewhere safe like an external sd or your computer before you edit it. Good luck! Also be sure to hit that "thanks" button, i find myself thanking almost all his posts

I wouldn't be too afraid. Just be as careful as you can be. I believe editing the build.prop is pretty harmless so long as you keep a copy of the original somewhere. You should do it yourself! You'll feel awesome knowing you took another step and got your hands a little dirtier and have 1 less thing to have to depend on someone else for

Well we don't have to warry about that any more since my phone crashed and I forgot to backup that ROM so I'm back on cm11, but no one else had a thread answering this question so I hope it helps others.
