Hi,
yes, you can flash CWM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31911745&postcount=1
It is CWM 6.0.15 and the most compatible with Aroma (should you install a custom ROM with Aroma later)
If you want CMW+ROOT and flash with odin, take this one: cwm6-root-n7100-121015.rar

extract the files. create a folder called fota in the internal sd of ur phone. reboot into recovery. u need to have the stock recovery. select test redbend fw. it will update using those files.
Will this work for the ICS to JB update?

[Q] going back to stock?

I bought an xperia play 4g second hand, and i'm looking to get it back to stock. it's a r800at,with the true ancestor rom. Bootloader is locked. I'm slightly familiar with the phone and how it was rooted and modded, mostly because i helped the original owner (a buddy of mine) with all of that.

Why does it say R800i if it's an R800at?

different firmware; it's using this rom with this firmware.
Anyway, you just need to use flashtool to flash a stock rom and that should be it. I think you have to use 2.3.3 on a R800at.
You can get the ftf files for flashtool here

Awesome! Thanks so much.

Try Framaroot to root Your phone, but I don't know if Google Nexus is compatible...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276
You can't flash recovery without a PC and fastboot interface
If You wanna root Your Nexus, first flash the recovery via Toolkit or Command line terminal and then flash the Root using it.

Help 4.1.2 emergency calls only

Guys I have been experimenting with a lots of custom roms, but flashing them only results in emergency calls only. My imei remains intact but mobile network does not work.
I have tried flashing Wanamlite v3.9, Phoenix 13, Omega 17-18, tried changing modems, ariza patch, restoring efs via terminal emulator and note 2 tool kit.
Right now I am on XXDLL7 and DDDMG1 (patched using Zuluman's modem patcher and it worked!!!)
I have successfully flashed 4.4.2 dn3 v5 with patched kernel, but due to some reasons I prefer 4.1.2, and would like to use any of the four aforementioned custom roms.
Please help. Thanks.

Ignoring custom roms, what is your stock rom history? What is your current bootloader?
I could not use any stock rom without ariza but this was the first time I have been successful in getting this baseband, but only after patching it with Zuluman's modem patcher.

Few suggestions needed to upgrade my Note 2.

Hi all,
Before I write up, I just wanna say that I am familiar with rooting/unrooting procedure, cwm installation, rom installation etc. I used to own Galazy Nexus and was very comfortable flashing custom stuff on it.
Now that I own a Note 2 (T-mobile), I recently got an update (firmware) from T-Mobile and I am not sure which of the versions I need to install to get it working correctly.
Here are the details

}
So can anyone guide me which tools and software to use to get it rooted, custom recovery and in turn make way to install a custom rom.
Odin the TWRP, then flash supersu 2.45. I'm not sure about the 4.3 bootloader though. It might trip your Knox.
