So what works and what doesnt?
I'm still trying to figure that out, but from what I can tell so far, everything should work. I had to run out to do some errands after flashing it myself so I haven't had very much time to play around yet.
So I've never messed around with fastboot before, I'm looking up tutorials now. Will this wipe my sd card too or just the phone storage? And will this mean I would have to reroot if I wanted back on android? Thanks for all of your help man.

no, it won't wipe your SD card. You will have the exact same effect you would if you flashed a rom in recovery. This will replace android on your system, so if you want to go back to android you will have to reflash your rom. When you flash these img files you will lose all your device data (again....not the sd card data) just as if you've installed an android rom in recovery after a full wipe.

If you have the correct APN info to enter, it will. I'm currently in the process of trying to find that info.

a thread for what? boot2gecko? This is a development thread. If you have some help to offer, please offer away!
I've been having a lot of trouble getting wireless data running. It appears that all anyone should need is the proper apn settings to input for it to activate....but I haven't had any luck finding a good deal of the necessary info I need. I even went as far as to contact tier 2 tech support at sprint, and they couldn't help me either.
after about a week of searching, calling, emailing, chatting, etc. I threw the project to the side burner for the time being. I decided to spend some time learing about compiling aosp, cm, etc...maybe the issue is in there somewhere. Since I'm a linux n00b I did a good amount of messing my system up several times...but I finally got it right. I formatted the whole hard drive, installed ubuntu, set up the boot2gecko environment immediately after installing, and only the b2g environment. I flashed a factory image to my phone for the proprietary blobs, just in case that was the problem, then I re-synced the repo and built b2g from source again. I sill have the exact same problem I did with the first build. Wireless voice works, wifi works....wireless data does not.
If you can help any, I would really appreciate it. I know ns4g has to be fully supported since it's in the list both on mozilla's site and in the ./config.sh list of devices.
Added some screenshots here:

(thanks darthn8ers)
updated the rom
new build, same bugs....but a flashable zip install with cwm (twrp untested)
Test
Edit: Finally it is letting me comment. Yay!!
I sent you a PM hp420. A couple actually, sorry. I have tried the new ZIP and I am still not able to get voice to work, so I can't try anything APN wise with any hope of success. Are you doing anything special to get it going?
Also, in researching this, and my own experience. It seems it is required to manually wipe /system before installing the ZIP to boot properly.

I tried the zip, wouldnt boot and it was using my old roms boot animation.

You must not have wiped at all or you missed a partition
I didn't even think about my issue possibly being I am on an mvno, Ting. It shows as Sprint in android though. Might be my voice issue.
From android, try putting "*#*#3282#*#*" in the dialer. View>data profile. Maybe that username will help? Mine is different as I am on Ting.

Flashing Instructions
1. Download the above file.
2. Move the downloaded recovery file into the directory where you have ADB and Fastboot setup on your computer.
3. Navigate into the directory where you have ADB and Fastboot setup on your computer and run the following commands from the command prompt on your computer:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery manta-oudhs-1.0.3.6-unofficial.img
Congratulations you now have OUDHS Recovery version 1.0.3.6 running on your Nexus 10.
Credits: shabbypenguin for developing the OUDHS source code and for being an excellent mentor!
Thanks!! Downloading as I type!!
Update: Flashed and was able to run a backup and restore, also flashed with no problems. One thing I see is that the font is really small, it maybe due to the high density display of the Nexus 10, if it can be adjusted to the same size as Clockworkmod it will be perfect. The gestures are sweet!!
Thanks.
Erik
Word on the street(and Google) is that this recovery supports OpenRecoveryScript. Is this true? Also does it support multi-zip flashing? Finally, does it work(as in not constantly reboot like TWRP)? I have never used/heard of this recovery before, and don't have much time to flash yet tonight, which is why I am asking all of the questions. Thanks!

Yes, as this recovery is based on the Clockworkmod Recovery source code is does support OpenRecoveryScript. As far as multi-zip flashing is concerned this recovery does not support multi-zip flashing like TWRP does. Also, It does work without constantly rebooting. If you have any other questions I'll be happy to answer them as best I can.

So it doesn't require the proprietary hooks used in ROM Manager? Multi-zip flashing isn't important, I was just wondering. I would however really like to have unrestricted access to ORS. Thanks!

I haven't personally tested any OpenRecoveryScripts on this but it should work as I believe the OUDHS source is patched to include support.
This supports regular CWM backups. Nice! I'm currently testing ORS support, I'll edit this post with results.
EDIT: Nope, it just rebooted to recovery and I would have to flash manually. I'll try with RM installed.
Thank u very much for this. I just flashed it and it looks great. I concur that the font could be slightly larger but my eyes are still pretty good. I've never heard of this recovery and haven't been able to locate any real info on it. Can u point me anywhere?

Glad you like it and if you want to learn more about it you can check out the OUDHS github that contains the recovery source code. Overall OUDHS recovery is based on CWMR sources with some modifications and additional features such a open source touch support and some other enhancements.
I can't seem to find where the backup is stored on my tablet?! I made one and in recovery it shows that its in sdcard/clockworkmod/, but in that folder I only have three tiny files. Yet, I know the backup (wherever it is) is actually consuming 3gigs or so... Any ideas?

Try navigating to the /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup directory and seeing if your backups are in there. Also how big are the backup files you are able to see currently? Because usually Clockworkmod compresses it's backups heavily to save space.
Edit: The other place to check would be /data/media/clockworkmod/backup that is most likely where the backups will be

*oh and I have some new clockwork recoveries if you all want these too, they appear fine with the minimal test I've done, if you all want I can upload these too - built from newest source something like 6.0.4.6? cant recall the versions and am lazy now, but built for kitkat roms
For sure gonna try this out if I have some free time tomorrow. It's getting late or else I would already be testing it out now
demkantor as you advised me first i just booted the recovery .. works well
flashed recovery works as expected
i dont have sdcard so you know the broken section is not for me
Working ADB sideload confirmed
Mind sharing how did you fix that?
My idea is that the problem is in fstab.recovery, but I'm not entirely sure on that. Could you please share "device-related" changes for TWRP?
Sure thing, I hope have some time in front of a PC this next week, I'll put up a new build with sd-ext fix and post a github link and clean up the op. Sorry just haven't had like ant quality PC time in the past few months

Alright, finally got around to flashing this. All the basic functionality I used CWM for, works perfect in TWRP. Pretty awesome
Man, this is awesome! I was using some old TWRP 2.2.0 version i found on some weird chinese site after failing to build it myself. Thanks fr thins man!
awesome job demkantor
and i can gladly take all the credits for this tool :d LoL
Why switch?
Hey @demkantor,
great work again, I guess, thanks. We vision users are lucky to have folks like you still working on our device.
One overarching question--why switch recoveries, and if I do, to this TWRP or your (or Nevergone's?) CWM? I have used 4EXT (I think at your suggestion, in fact) ever since I rooted my phone in August, 2012, and no problems. I have kept up with all the latest ROMs in the Flinny line (and a few others) including 11.0, though I have now stepped back to his last 10.1 build while KitKat needs fixing. My needs are pretty basic, I suppose...I just flash the occasional new ROM, make backups, occasionally restore them (like in going from 11.0 back to 10.1.) I rarely touch adb...it just hasn't been necessary. I am perfectly happy with my phone, and marvel at its longevity!
So, stick with the latest 4EXT, or jump to something newer?
Thanks,
p-d
ps still at the U? Go to Al's for me sometime, I miss breakfast there.
Thanks!
In truth I still prefer 4ext myself, its my favorite recovery but development on it has slowed over the past year. The only reason I bothered to make this was for @AYEHAN who has a broken SD tray and needed to be able to sideload a ROM, currently 4ext is lacking this feature. So if your current recovery is still working for you then I would suggest to stick with it, TWRP is nice and I use it on most my devices (as 4ext isn't available) but if it ain't broke don't fix it!
Yeah last few days of brake before the new semester begins, and for sure will go to Al's, best whole in the wall there is!

One major bug I came across, is it will no longer flash roms. Like, regardless of what the rom is it just won't flash it, it spits out
assert failed: get prop("ro.product.device") == "
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard ,
and I know these roms all work since it was flashing them beforehand. Just thought I'd let you know
*Edit*
So any rom other than G2Slim won't flash for me. CM10.1, Flinny's CM11, etc. It's so odd
*Edit 2*
I installed CWM v5 again just to make sure it wasn't a problem with the roms themselves or my sd card, and things install fine, so it must be a random bug with twrp, hopefully a very rare one at that
I just tried and found a similar result, without looking into it much I see there are a couple update-binaries used with various ROMs and this build works for one and not the other, at least that's what I see so far as I'm coaching my friend on how to do this as the phone is with him on the other side of town right now.
I'll look into a fix for this as it would be nice to be able to flash all Roms not just some, thanks for the bug report!

Fix permissions and terminal work fine, I'll try a theme if I can work out how to do it but I don't have a spare SD card I can test partitioning on. All in all great work
Thanks for running those tests, with school and not having my g2 in front of me I haven't had a chance to pick up this project, but I should have my phone back shortly. One of the things I was planning to do (after all functions are 100%) was make a few themes, which is quite easy if your interested
http://www.teamw.in/twrp2-theme-guide
It surprising how customizable and fun a recovery can be so if you get around to it I will for sure link any you make and hopefully will have a few of my on in due time

Just tried a theme, works fine. I would make some but I have no working PC right now. Might be able to unpack and edit an existing one on device though
Needed to get a recovery compatible with SELinux support in order to install latest CM11 Alpha 3 (Flinny's).
Works fine. None of the errors above when installing CM11 and gapps.
Great work!

Phoenix 7.3 for Safestrap / Multi Carrier Friendly / Any TWRP Capable Recovery Compatible! ML1/MK2/MKF based| Fast | Stable | Clean | De/Odexed | Note 3 Features! / Simple install / Themed / TW4.3
- SAFESTRAP (Install to any slot and restore to Stock slot too! Compatible with VZW - AT&T - TMO and can be installed on MDK/MDL and should be any phone with TWRP recovery.
original vzw port thread (post questions there or search actual rom's thread for more info all else fails pm me)
If you dont know about Phoenix get familiar (read the thread.). This version features a cool Floyd theme. Restore it to your stock slot in Safestrap or to any slot you like or restore it with TWRP/Philz any recovery that is TWRP compatible should work. AT&T and other carriers may need to flash your MK2 modules or add in TMO APN / AT&T APN settings to get this beast working 100%. If that didn't fix your problem then you need to install the GSM / LTE carrier modem (just guessing that your GSM if you can't get this going as thats been only complaint of lost data and he was able to fix it with proper carrier modem).
Known issues/Not Working (only for select users):
No issues exist if phone is setup properly. however...
If it doesnt work for you I'm sorry your best bet if your on VZW is SS with something else installed stock slot would be mk2/mj7 stock odin, reroot, ss,(I go to MK2 as I have best speeds and benchmarks with it) n I know it will work flawlessly if rooted and setup as described cause I've used this ROM package on 7 phones for clients (1 AT&T, 2 TMOs one with mdl bootloader and one with locked and 4 VZWs).... enjoy took me some time to put together so if it works thank me or better yet donate so you can see updates and more roms!
Due to packaging restraints and installation issues a familiar format like .zip is not available yet but will be soon. Until then please use the TWRP/SS restore option as its a more viable install and can be restored onto any slot including Stock through Safestrap. If someone wants to help the cause please install this through philztouch then create a zip from the rom do not flash anything else over the rom and upload the zip and PM me the link it'd help me out a lot!
Lil about me: I'm a now broke, technically I'm disabled (w/ 4 crushed discs in spine the gov says I'm too young to get disability and shouldn't admit that MMJ medicine works for me they=heartless pricks)I'm a full time single parent of a 1 yr old so I don't get a lot of time for my passions anymore. ex award winning programmer (lost the love for it, be sure to copyright anything you intellectually own especially when it comes to working with G or MS. they'll steal your everything claim you signed it over and hang you out to dry) now i'm just a fellow android lover with a knack for making things work when they normally won't, experimenting, coding, scripting, anything I feel like doing so if this or any of my other creations or additions to your phone helped you in any way help keep my kid in fresh diapers or put a beer in my hand please. Anything is better than nothing I have spent countless hours learning testing and everything in between to bring you cool stuff like this. Thanks!
Install:
Unzip into your new SS backup dir into your backup Safestrap folder in a folder like gogolies-phoenix73-v5 make sure all files are simply in 1 folder and that folder is in your backup directory and restore to a ***blank/newly created or STOCK*** rom slot. I went super small as small as SS would allow for slot creation. If your getting an error on restoring be sure to try deleting the slot and re-adding it then restoring the system files. If your WiFi doesn't work try flashing MJ7 or MK2 SS modules but only flash modules after 1st booting up rom and knowing wifi isnt working. 1st boot takes time plz allow a minute after loading up 1st time.

I'm running it now. I installed it yesterday, and I'm pretty happy with it. Battery is great. It's super smooth. One of the better TW rims I've used.
I'm on t mobile. I'm assuming the LTE icon isn't showing up cause it's not a t mobile ROM. I'm still getting 17+ mbs download speeds though with speedtest.net, so I do have LTE.
Good work on this.

Not only is the OP an assault to my eyes and causing me to feel like I am on acid... but the OP can't support this (as is evidenced by his first few posts) and he's wasting everyone's time.
XDA doesn't look kindly on blind builders/kangers/modders/etc. who will post nonsense all over in an attempt to gain notoriety when they can't support something, all the while hoping people donate. And given the content in his OP, that's precisely what is going on here.
so closing this thread and others like it.

THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL BUILD OF LIQUID LOLLIPOP AND NOT SUPPORTED BY THE NORMAL DEV TEAM. SO IF YOU FIND A BUG, DON'T ASK THEM FOR ANY KIND OF SUPPORT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE OFFICIAL LIQUID LOLLIPOP, YOU CAN FIND THAT HERE.
Here is a build I put together today of LiquidSmooth v4.0 (Android 5.0.1). I build unofficial builds for one of the S2 variants, and having the d2att S3, I figured I would build it for it too. And since it worked, figured I would just drop it here.
THINGS TO NOTE
ABOUT THE ROM
This build does not use the Material Dark theme that the official Liquid Lollipop uses it. I reverted it to Material Light in some places just because I prefer it. There are still a few system apps and places you will find the darker theme, but most of the ROM is light. Camera is a little off still. Works for some, doesn't for others. I recommend Open Camera from the PlayStore. Pictures work flawless with it.. Video will cause FC.. Wifi, Mobile Data, etc are also working. As far as bugs, I'm sure there are some, but being early in the Lollipop era, it should be expected.
ABOUT THE KERNEL
The D2-Shift that I recommend to use with this comes from the awesome @rogersb11. It's built with Linaro GCC-4.9.1 and includes the faux sound mod (thanks to @faux123). When flashing the kernel, it will install Stweak kernel control app. HOWEVER Stweaks support is not complete yet. So use Trickster or whatever kernel control app you wish with it.
DOWNLOAD AND INSTALLATION
THAT USUAL DISCLAIMER STUFF
Yup, you knew this was coming. Neither I nor anyone else including, but not limited to, my wife, kids, your neighbor, or that annoying Fluffy the cat down the road are responsible to damage to your phone while flashing this. This includes, soft brick, hard brick, one brick, two brick, red brick, blue brick. ALSO, I built this specifically for the d2att variant. If you want to try it on another d2 variant then you do so at your own risk. It's up to you to know if it can work and how.

SPECIAL THANKS
First and foremost thanks to the entire LiquidSmooth team because of course, without them, this wouldn't exist. I always have to thank @rogersb11 like my life would cease without him. Seriously though, the kernel is all his building, and the help he has given me over the last little while as I learn how to build from source. Say thank you to the man, would ya? Thanks to @bob24260 who first introduced me to Android and rooting and all that fun stuff a long time ago, and who also took that nervous step of being the first to flash this with me.

No Thank you!
I've had the distinct pleasure of knowing GeekyNimrod for a while now in "real" life and I also had the pleasure of being the first to flash this.I'm loving it.Great job Geeky.I may have been the person to introduce Geeky to Android but I've always been old school gingerbread person.Geeky changed that with his work.I'm absolutely in love with this build.Camera straight out of the "box" so to speak.Once again great job and I look forward to future builds. In my thread title it says No thank you,it should have said No,thank you!Was thanking Geeky not criticizing as the lack of comma implied.Overlook me,I'm a doofus.
Oh yeah,First!!!!Lol

For pics, yes. Video, no.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
I was just getting ready to clarify
Hardware repo should be good to go. Video MOST LIKELY comes from a d2 common repo. IDK tho, I don't have this device and my N2 is Exynos not Qualcomm
not taking pics also,It took a pic first time, next time it stopped working, the focus circle stuck and it won't take pictures
there's no file manager!

Try clearing data on camera in settings, reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik (ART)and cache. Its worked for me on similar issues before.Camera is working fine for me.As far as file manager there's plenty to choose from in the Play store.
I found Clear Dalvik cache, but why you mention (ART)
I do not find such option in my TWRP 8
Flash failed. Re-downloading now.

There is no dalvik on Lollipop. When you clear dalvik in recovery you are actually clearing ART.ART stands for Android Run Time.It replaced dalvik.
[QRCODE][/QRCODE]thanks for your quick reply!

Not sure what you're referring to on volume boost. As far as camera,if its not working for you I would suggest Open Camera on the Play Store. Its free and it should work for you.

Don't know why your were having camera issues, but mine has taken pic after pic with no problem. File managers can be downloaded from the PlayStore.
As for video recording, a read of the OP would have told you it wasn't working.

Thanks. I'm about to flash it.
Update: Not flashing for me. I'm stuck at "Patching system...."
Has anyone done a dirty flash over the other CM build successfully? I'm about to give it a try.
Edit: Just flashed over the old build with no issues. Thanks!! I'll provide a screenshot once it finishes preparing the apps.
NOTE: Remember install gapps in same time with the rom (if you need/like)
NOTE2: Remember factory reset and format system partition when coming from any other ROM than previous version of TS CM13.0

Are you using x720 or x727?
Sent from my LEX727 using Tapatalk
Had an issue with the PIN being overwritten I believe... just followed this guide and all is well again.
Edit: I'm using LEX727, about to edit build.prop again

Weird, it's not flashing for me. I'm stuck on patching system. I'm coming from stock.
I also noticed the ZIP contains firmware images. Not knowing where they're from, I'm a little worried if something goes wrong or is in compatible I can't get the x727 firmware files back.

I have seen conflicting info on this can you give me the exact edits u did to the build prop if it works please. Since you are on the 727 don't you need to flash the band 12 also?
Please read description and instructions before any steps.
It's for LEX720 and we've added LEX720 FW files in the rom also.
How to install:
NOTE: You have to have custom recovery installed, before any steps.
0) If you want to be safe: Backup apps/sms/etc with some app (e..g Titanium)
1) boot into marshmallow compatible TWRP (or similar) recovery
2) Backup -> swipe to backup
When coming from ANY other ROM than TS CM13:
2.1) Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Select system, data, cache and dalvik cache partition (Swipe to wipe)
3) install cm-13.0-xxxxxxx-UNOFFICIAL-le_zl1.zip (select from storage or via adb sideload) and must install gapps same time with the rom if you make clean install (if you need/like)
4) reboot
5) profit
NOTE: All changes in system partition are lost when you update ROM.

Followed the directions here and everything going ok for now. Restoring my apps via titanium backup.
I don't think any modem is flashed at least I haven't had any issues needing to flash the modem for band 12.
I edited "ro.product.model=LEX720" to "ro.product.model=x727" and "persist.radio.multisim.config=dsds" to "persist.radio.multisim.config=NA" but it doesn't seem to want to find the SIM card now...
Nevermind, I guess it's not intended for the X727 US version so I'll be flashing back to the old CM
the differences between cm-13.0-xxxxxxx-UNOFFICIAL-le_zl1.zip and CM13.0 for LEX720 -Team Superluminal? witch version is better?

I thought so too but when I edited build.prop for one sim it failed to find the card and said one wasn't inserted. So I'm just gonna flash the old CM build which I know works with one sim, I could keep it on the setting for two but then it takes forever to lock on and seems to lose service.

I think the x720 firmware files has something to do with it. Hopefully when you restore the firmware files are still there from x727.
EDIT: Just thought of something, maybe flash the US modem along with doing the build.prop edit will work for this ROM on x727?

Weird when I boot it flashes a signal then sim then signal within 2 seconds and I am locked in. Weird. I did not expect this x720 vs x727 to be such a huge issue.
I installed it and will try it on lex720 for some days. The chinese one has a realy bad battery. Hope this will be better
I have it running on a US 727, it works fine, doesn't have any of the chinese junk off the other app. I don't know how to check band 12, and I'm not sure it matters in my area. Also the themer works.
