Change your CSC to TLS and you should be done. (Caution: this wipes the phone)
You could also try changing it from a custom recovery by replacing the BMC files that are in the /csc/ by those from /system/csc/TLS/system/csc/ which is essentially what the CSC update zip does. I wouldn't risk doing it from a rooted file explorer/shell on the live phone.

Flashing software to NA Region? & unlock?

Hi guys, I am not new to android, I daily flash my Samsung Nexus via CWM all the time.
However, My dad recently went to india and i believe got his phone unlocked their for Indian sim cards to work.
Now if they flashed a indian rom on the phone as well, How do i flash the native BELL rom? also, How do i unlock this?
I read around one has to download multiloader and find the Bell Flash file, or whatever the stock one is that Bell gives out in Canada.
Can anyone help me with this? I'm new to this area of XDA. Basically I need a Bell stock flash file, and need to network lock his sim card back to Bell again.
Cheers
Ok So from reading around it seems like I should do the following:
-Download Multiloader--- Done
- Download Bell Software from SAMFIRMARE, Im downloading the Firmwares for GT-S8500M - Canada (Bell)? is that right one?
- Follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1759424 guide to flash my firmware,
and then I should have my dads phone back and on the Bell network right in Canada?
Please give more details so that it is easier to understand you and offer solution.
If I guess right, your dad's phone is Samsung WAVE 8500? And that the phone is completely unlocked now?
If the answer is affirmative, then there is no need to lock it back again to Bell Network. An unlocked phone can be used with any SIM card.
And as the phone was originally of BELL network, just go to Sammobile and download the Canadian firmware for S8500 (WAVE).
Flash your phone with the downloaded firmware and start using it. You don't have to LOCK for it to work with BELL.
The above is only if your dad's phone is WAVE and originally of BELL network. If not, please give more details.
Hey thanks spacks. It was originally from Bell. So if it was flashed to some firmware for india, I will just flash it back to the Bell firmware.
Right now its locked to his India cell phone carrier, So i should probably flash the bell rom to put him back on his original network.
If i run into problems I will post back here, as I am leaving for work now
Edit** If the phone is just locked to the indian carrier, How can i UNLOCK it without flashing a new firmware??
Please read this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473089
Best Regards
Ok i tried the first step to flash the boot files BUT now running into a issue, the laptop wont detect the samsung phone anymore, I tried reinstalling and updating drivers and uninstalling them, Can anyone help me? The phone boots up to the "Samsung Wave I8500M" logo screen but freezes...I really need to flash this Bell firmware asap.

This is not going well as expected :S
Go to SamMobile and download the canadian fw available there and flash it

n920a change csc

hi, when i bought my n920a it had firmware 6.0.1 but with cs XSG of the arab emirates but now i can not flash this csc anymore. How should I do? also when I downloaded samsung flow did not make me use fingerprints because it said that I had done the root previously but I had already bought it so. Is there a way to root?
Are you sure your device was originally an N920A? And have you ever flashed the stock AT&T Firmware to your device yourself manually?
I ask it like that because, if you went and bought a Rooted N920A from an older firmware and then flashed a newer stock firmware to the device, you definitely removed the carrier unlocked modem and reinstalled the AT&T CSC. The firmware does try to prevent all other firmwares from being used.
You may end up needing to flash the modem from the combination firmware in order to regain your carrier unlock status, that may allow you to flash another region's CSC. But you would want to use a Home CSC version if you can. One that doesn't include the PIT file with it. The Home CSC version typically does not contain a PIT file but has a meta data folder that accompanies the cache image. The Home CSC also doesn't require a device wipe.
But if you accidentally locked your unlocked phone, I hope you didn't flash an unrootable bootloader over a rooted bootloader. But using the Combination Firmware's Modem/CP should allow you to change carriers and manually adjust APN or Cellular Settings. Although it may mess up your wifi defaults until you mess with wpasupplicant.
Thanks, I installed the latest firmware available NRD90M. N920AUCS6ERH1. Is it no longer possible to downgrade?

Flash T-Mobile firmware on Verizon Note8

What is the best method to do this process? This is a Verizon phone and when I changed sims the phone rebooted and the boot logo changed but the Wifi calling is not working (the toggle is there but it doesn't work and I have my address set). I want to download the T-Mobile firmware to install on this device. I have experience in using odin but want to make sure I do it right. I also read somewhere about flashing the unlocked version's firmware first? Where do I download the latest versions, and can I do it without a factory reset?

Just flash the t-mobile firmware and use the HOME CSC file and not the other CSC file. You don't need to flash unlocked firmware if you do that you're not going to have any wifi calling features or anything else that t-mobile puts in their firmware. The latest versions can be found all over just Google it and if you don't know what the latest firmware is check on t-mobile they'll have a list like Verizon does.

Flash T-mo firmware on unlocked S20 Ultra (SM-G988U1)

Hey all,
I am trying to flash the Tmo firmware onto my unlocked Ultra to get things like the video call option in the dialer, and for the life of me I am getting lost.
I used both Frija and SamFirm to downlad what it said was the correct firmware (SM-G988U1_1_20200312212815_gne8hvb170_fac.zip) putting TMB in the CSC. I flashed that firmware using Odin,
Here is what I did:
Downloaded the firmware (SM-G988U1_1_20200312212815_gne8hvb170_fac.zip) in Frija putting TMB in the CSC box
Unzipped all the files
Flashed them all to the phone in Odin, using HOME_CSC_OMC_OYM_G988U1OYM1ATCH_CL18186338_QB29814488_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 so as not to wipe my data
There is no error, and it finishes successfully, the phone reboots, and there is no change whatsoever.
Am I missing a step here guys?
Thanks so much.
**EDIT**
I finally figured it out.
I needed to flash the TMB U firmware, not the U1 firmware.
Curious do you notice better signal strength on TMO U firmware vs unlocked U1?

Galaxy S20 Ultra Verizon to Tmobile Flash Help

I have an unlocked, not rooted and factory OS Verizon(SM-G988U) with Android 10. I recently switched to T-mobile and was thinking to flash the firmware from Verizon to Tmobile to better use their wifi calling and other features.
Where can I get the latest files to flash the firmware? Also, to switch from Verizon to Tmobile, do I have to flash Verizon-->Unlocked(U1)-->Tmobile or can I do Verizon directly to Tmobile firmware? I read few threads but I was confused on what exactly I need to do.
I downloaded Odin v3.14.1 and latest Samsung drivers. Beside the firmware files and placing appropriate folders in BL, AP, CP and CSC, anything else I need to do?
Sorry for noob question but this is my first flash and was looking for exact steps.
Thank You
You need to go Verizon-unlocked-Tmobile. You'll want the patched Odin too. I use Frija to get my firmwares https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-checker.3910584/ but you can use sammobile as well.
Thank You. Is Frija 1.4.3 the latest version?
Also, the Odin I downloaded, the executable says "Odin3 v3.14.1_3B_PatcheD" which I suppose is latest and patched, right?
In the Frija, CSC, I got the Tmobile firmware as TMB. What is the code for the unlocked firmware so I can download it?
Also, do I need to root to flash the firmware from Verizon-->unlocked-->Tmob?
Noyou do not need root
In the Frija, CSC, I got the Tmobile firmware as TMB. What is the code for the unlocked firmware so I can download it?
Never mind found out.
SM-G988U1 , CSC- XAA for Unlocked
and
SM-G988U, CSC- TMOB for Tmobile.
Were you ever able to get WiFi calling to work?
