WTF - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Wtf is up with this ****? My wife's friends turned 4g on on her og evo and had 4g service in lansing...wimax? Why the **** is Sprint eating their time and resources starting up wimax here? They should b working on the LTE rollout. This is really getting ridiculous now...go figure I switched my evo for the s3 cuz I figured it would never c 4g...now exactly how long am I gonna have to wait for lte?
Let me say, I'm not really one to complain about the entire 4g debacle, but I just don't understand this move. I know several people that ditched their wimax phones for the gs3 because they figured they would never c 4g on the evo...guess they got us again huh.

First, shut up.
Sprint is no longer rolling out Wimax so it has always been there. And this isn't the place to complain. Take it up with sprint if you're so upset. Or better yet pay etf and go with another company. Seeing these new threads popping up isn't anything new. Its very annoying.
This is my opinion and I do not speak for the community
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

First off you don't need to b an asshole. And second off no, wimax has NOT always been here. It was in grand rapids ONLY. Do u think I'm so ****ing stupid that I don't know how to check my evo to c if I have 4g? If you don't have any input or information keep your useless opinions to yourself. No one wants to hear your idiotic replies.

So your complaining/venting does what exactly? Your approach with the language makes you look like the a-hole just my opinion.
So what Sprint has a Wimax tower in your area and no lte yet. Did you not know there was no lte when you bought your phone? If so your uninformed buyer... they could of had that wimax tower up and ready long before you bought your gs3, just didn't turn it on till recently.
You may get a more polite response by calling Sprint customer care (because it's their job to be polite), then you would here with your useless complaining...

I'm not complaining about not having lte..I knew it wasn't here yet when I got my gs3 just as I knew there was no wimax when I got my og evo...it does upset me a little that all of a sudden a wimax signal started showing up here. It just seems that they would b so busy with regular voice, data and lte updates that any wimax additions would b a waste of time.
As far as language and attitude, I apologize. It just hit me wrong and I have some major real life stuff going on right now, so I guess that played into me being quickly irritated.
As far as Sprint goes, have you ever really called with service related questions? I know it partially depends on who you talk to, but Sprint seems to car very little about customer service/satisfaction. The ones I have talked to have some of the worst attitudes of any customer service reps I have ever dealt with.

Your accusation about sprints CS is only from your part. Every single, and when i say every single employee I mean it. That I have spoken too has always been polite and did what they could to make me (their customer) happy. I've been with them for 4 years now and not once have I been disappointed after ending a call.
If you want to see horrible customer service go check out Verizon. I had to deal with their crappy service for 7 years.

Ive had one bad experience with a sprint cs rep that would just talk over me and talk over me and was very rude.. drove me nuts but one out of the millions ive talked to in the last 7 yrs doesn't make their general cs bad... as for them adding a "new" wimax tower... i doubt it.. probaby just didnt have your antenna turned on.. i never did with my og evo or my 3d.. it killed my battery so fast it wasnt worth it... i get way more lte signal in south fl then i ever did wimax.. as u can tell by the reponses youve gotten so far the folks here on xda aren't the ones u wanna vent to.. as they'll make your frustration a little more frustrating ...

coming from an SG3 with LTE, I'd still love this phone without it..

Lol it's ok like I said just couldn't believe wimax signal here...I only ditched my evo in October and I and several friends did occasionally turn on the antenna to check for 4g service. Had done it since I got the phone. And I don't get frustrated easily...like I said something just hit me wrong especially with a very stressful real life issue I'm dealing with right now.

What I've noticed here on san antonio is that in a lot of areas around here, lte is completely overloaded at certain times of the day, making 3g a better alternative. A ton of people have the gs3 now so I thonk that Sprint's lte is way too little for all the phones that support lte. In other words, they may have rolled another wimax tower just so everyone on wimax phones can have a fairly decent 4g. Just to possibly keep the customer satisfied while they work on upgrades for lte to better support current lte customers. Idk if that makes sense to you but it makes sense in my head.

Even with this new LTE network, there service is still sub-par at best.. I have more dropped calls with this new service, than I have had with Winmax, and I live in the DFW area...

I'm in SA area too. My experience has been a constant, blazing fast LTE connection anywhere north of IH-10 and south of IH-10 seems to be spotty LTE, mostly 3g. When I'm on 3G, it's extremely sluggish though. Sometimes I drop down to 1x on the northwest side of town. I've heard so many different experiences though. I'm on LJ7 modem btw.
On a side note, my mother has an evo 3d that connects well with wimax. Much more of a reliable connection than I've experienced with my S3.

Besides all the trolling here, it's not a big deal if there's that there now but not 4g. Who cares. Use wifi if your home or at a friends. I'm on 3g and that's perfectly fine when it comes to Web browsing some sites.
You can complain to sprint and they would just brush it off like the other countless non major complaints they get.

Sprint service issue in Los Angels?

Lately at my home I've been having service issues such as having 3G but can't send messages or take
calls, its really been pissing me off, spirit said that' they are upgrading their towers but is there anything I can do?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Yes you can.
About 3 months ago, I put a complaint I believe was in the FCC website, sprint immediatelly contacted me and kept on bugging me regarding the issue. I think the government agency really gets on their case.
After a month, I got them to give me a new phone, from EVO 3d to the Epic and didnt resolve the issue, they now credited me for $50 since I have absolutely no signal where I work and a promise to work on the issue, so the FCC let go of buggint them, but the issue still there, so now I should and will put another complaint with FCC, for 3g speeds and another one for the lack of signal for voice again!
That's the thing, many people have issues but do not complain with the FCC only with sprint. Once we start complaining with the FCC, they actually start doing something about it.

You are will aware that with an airave you can change it so only authorized phone numbers can connect. Also, pretty sure that Sprint isn't responsible for providing excellent coverage inside your office building (Perhaps it is different if you held a business account). Keep in mind that the building structure also comes into play because the frequency might not be able to penetrate the building, which in this case the FFC can't do anything to sprint legally because it already providing the service but the structure reflects/weaken the signal by the time to penetrates the building walls.
The above is just my opinion on Sprint Service, while they are held liable to provide good signal in your home address and nearby area.
@Darrien13 I believe they are doing network vision so that would affect your service big time for a while. In my city, there was no service for approximately 3 days while they were upgrading the towers for N.V.

Is this the reason why my 4g speeds took a dump for about a week maybe longer now?
I've noticed the same thing here in placentia/yorbalinda and came up with the same conclusion! I used to get on average 6-10mbps and last week I was averaging 1-3mbps! Hopefully this changes!

@Everyone posting Network vision affecting their current 4G wimax.
The 4G has nothing to do with network vision. 4G towers are operated by clearwire. Their might be maintenance being done to the towers, expect 4G speeds on wimax to drop though, since Virgin mobile/Boost mobile will be getting 4G wimax phones.

Sprint said last month they are upgrading towers until middle of June.the lady let slip that, "hey 4g is off line there right now" i stated we have never had 4g. I've been noticing allot of towers going up and actions happening near all the cell sites. I'm in temecula. But i informed her i travel around and she stated everything should smooth out mid/late June. This was April 8th. Tech support called several times to verify changes they were making in my town.helped a little.
I tried to all her about lte, she said she was reading an internal note about the area.
Don't care if its fact or fake, just let me make calls and text damn it

Had same issues in Fort Lauderdale. Was horrible! I got the same story of maintenance on towers and 4G was offline. They gave me $50 credit for each line on my account. Told me to call back after May 10th if issues still remain.
When I am 2 feet from a BIG window, in front of a open wide pershing square, I think I do have to have a signal. At least a signal. I have nothing no bars, not connection, nothing. I even tought there was a jammer nearby, but a sprint rep came to check, and said that it does not look like and that I was definatelly in a spot to get a signal.
Would I move to the center of the building, I get a VERY STRONG signal.

Sprint data... worse lately?

Has anyone else noticed just how much slower sprint is lately? I mean, we all knew that they've began having major issues last year, but now, seems worse. I literally can't get above .15mbps on any of my three phones. That's in most of the Denver/Aurora area. Before it was slow, now it is just not usable.
The only excuse Sprint ever has is the network vision, but really? I'm pretty fed up with this dial up.
I'll atop ranting now, am still under contract with them .

Damn, I know in Atlanta it is rather bad as well.
Just hard to remain optimistic, specially knowing that the unlimited model, while nice, isn't going to help with speed. Just too many people can abuse the already suffering network. While limits suck, they really force people to watch their data use, or pay for higher usage.

I checked out tmobile prepaid, and prepaid just makes more sense seems like. Yea, you pay full retail price if you want a nice phone, but you don't need to pay any hidden upgrade fees, or weird surcharges sprint has, nor is it as expensive. And I can't speak for everyone, but I honestly don't see network vision doing anything but allowing sprint catch up to the point where most others are already at, except for years later. And if they keep this unlimited model going, I only see the network continuing on suffering. Sure, Lte would be nice and the fact that all new high end sprint phones are lte capable. Unless you're in major 6 markets though, yore stuck on crawling 3g till at least 2014, that's when they plan to roll out lte here in Colorado, not to mention it will only be the initial roll out, only among major highways, even spottier than wimax.

The thing I've noticed about CD a devices is that they don't drop calls nearly as often as GSM models do. I've noticed this with several devices amongst my family. I'm not saying cdma is immune to it, just that they tend to transfer from tower to tower better.
With that in mind, I'd probably go to Verizon if I switched... but I can't stand the amount of things they will charge you for. They charge to block numbers, GPS, etc. T-Mobile sounds ideal as far as pricing goes but if GSM drops calls often then I'm not too sure.
A few months ago i was on cricket with the og epic, i was tired of they crappy service so i was looking to switch. Sprint grabbed me with their truly unlimited data. Guess i should of researched speeds as well =/ but i have hopes for sprint, im stuck with them for 2 years and network vision should (hopefully) hit buffalo ny by then. if i dont get a significant increase in data quality i will most defiantly go with verizon. They may be a bit more expensive but hey, the phrase "you get what you pay for" may apply here

Really?! I prefer GSM over CDMA any day. Unless, we are talking about CDMA-Advanced. My reasoning is the whole data speed aspect. With GSM, your 3G speeds are much better due to HSPA and HSPA+ technology. On Sprint, have you ever seen speeds over 2.5mbps in an excellent coverage area with no network load? The max CDMA network that Sprint has can go is 3.2, which is theoretical. TMobile HSPA+21 network can reach 10-12mbps without many issues. HSPA+42, 19-25 in my area during off hours. Verizon CDMA, while much more consistent, isn't much faster than Sprint.
I understand your argument with dropped calls, but I actually have found the opposite to be true. I have less dropped calls while on the go on my T-Mo company phone (GNexus), vs any of the Sprint devices I have. And that is among same area. I am guessing our experiences differ due to coverage in respectable states.
Sprint was good here for a week or less when NV was apparently being worked on in my area.. now it is even worse than before! I'm not sure what they did to the nearest towers but everyone I know around complains lately that their signal inside their house is worse and not as reliable. I've been considering jumping ships to a different carrier, perhaps the T-Mobile prepaid plan... considering I only use like 40 mins a month and only need dependable fast data on the good. Sprint better hope LTE and NV starts working here in the L.A area

I used to hit around 1 Meg in the morning. From this speed it drops into nearly single digits throughout the day.
My 3g speeds have gotten cut in half in San Diego this month. I don't even know what its like using the 4G option on this phone which leaves me a little bitter at this point. In fact, listening to others talk about 4G in their areas feels like a series of short stories, wise tales, and mere fables. I'm probably gonna switch to T-mobile once the GS3 drops next month since they are finally getting a decent phone line up. I'm getting tired of the emasculating feeling of begging my girlfriend for data as she hits the WIFI tether Icon of her Verizon unlimited droid all the while knowing that the 4G option in my notification bar is simply a useless battery draining light.
Ans I thought I had it bad lol. The funny thing is that I can take my tmobile phone ans my sprint phone to the sprint store ans tmo would test at least 2x faster vs sprint on wimax, that's with full bars since they have signal boosters at their stores.

Sprint is becoming a victim of the iPhone own success the way AT&T did when the iPhone first came out. Sprint went from being 4th place in the networks to 1st almost overnight due to having unlimited data and high quality phones. Unfortunately they weren't prepared for it network wise.
I keep getting emails about them building/buying/renting new towers here in Los Angeles, but thus far I haven't seen any quality updates.
My recommendation is to call and complain. Most of the time they'll give you an Airrave for free to keep you as a customer.

I think that sprint lineup is far from being the first.
A lot of people buy in the whole unlimited data thing, that's just how Americans are. Why have limits when you can have unlimited? Those people don't think about speeds, they think that all data is same lol. Sadly, they also usually don't even get close to 2gb, which is the lowest tier cap by competitors.
Yay, I have unlimited. What is it good for when everything takes ages to do? Videos aren't even worth the effort over sprint mobile data. Having a tmo ans a sprint phone side by side, I can buffer a YouTube in 720p on tmo and watch 2 minutes of video before sprint would load same video in sq.

[Competition] TMobile to bring back TRULY UNLIMITED DATA PLAN

You read the title correctly, tmonews and android central. The question is would you switch to Tmobile for 4G HSPA+ data speeds with no caps or overages. I know im seriously thinking about it. The wait for LTE is killing me.
Hmm no caps or overages but..... What about throttling.....
Never mind looks like it will be un throttled.
http://m.androidcentral.com/t-mobile-ready-offer-completely-unlimited-data
No throttling either.
eh, this is how it starts..they offer unlimited then when you download xyz they cripple it to 10KB/s.
after people complain, they will stop throttling then implement a download cap again.
rinse and repeat.
This will be interesting. I'm now doubting how smart it was to sign a new contract with Sprint. With T-Mobile, you have your choice of Nexus and international phones (*cough*Mi2*cough*). Plus, T-Mobile is about to roll out LTE Advance next year. So basically, the plans and pricing should end up similar to Sprint with a very competitive network, but with a much better selection of phones (counting non-T-Mobile-endorsed Nexi and international phones).
I still have confidence in Sprint's NV/LTE upgrade, and I'm plenty satisfied with my S3 for now, so the next 2 years should be good for me, but this news definitely gives one something to ponder.

I would make sure t-mobile is good in your area.
One thing that could keep me is that even T-Mo fanboys get mad about the incompetent, outsourced support line. I hate supporting companies that outsource jobs.

I'm in Linden (right next to Elizabeth)....I don't get those speeds all the time I just screencapped it this AM and was using for an excuse to share it....
I don't have a problem with Sprint's speed like I used to WHEN I GET IT. The problem is there are a lot of areas where it either connects only to 1X (inside certain buildings, but other carriers don't have this issue so it isn't the building) or times like in this screenshot where it is displaying a good 3G signal but the data doesn't actually work, it seems stuck.
I wouldn't switch to T-Mo. There speeds have gotten faster but nothing has changed to ease my mind as to their coverage when making calls. I remember I tried them for a week and there were places I got NO signal. No data, no voice.

I'm in the exact same boat. I've been with Sprint for over a decade and I was upset when they took away the Premire Program considering I had just qualified Gold status shortly after they came out with it. I let it slide because even though I don't use a ton of network data, I hate the idea of being kept to a limit and/or being throttled once I get there.
Like you, I'll give Sprint a fair chance here. I'm around the Chicago area, so we're in full blown Network Vision upgrade which has been hit and miss. Some places are great, others are atrocious. If their plans pan out, I'll stick with Sprint, but if not, I'll gladly jump to a GSM carrier for a variety of reasons, especially now that they're going to offer truly unlimited data as well.
if this holds true, im out of here with sprint. screw giving them a chance when were paying $10 for premium data. Dial up speeds are not premium data. hell even if we werent paying $10 a month, id still be considering it. I cant even access internet pages in good 3g areas half the time without having to refresh 4-5 times/ Let alone getting any of the apps to refresh. when I was with t-mobile. I always got 6-12mbps. Who cares that its hspa+. I would wait for LTE, but judging by what ive read, Sprint LTE has alot of connectivity issues as well.
If tmobile starts to offer unthrottled unlimited data and it cripples the network, then ill be in the same boat im already in with sprint. So i really cant lose. Paying these prices for this type of service is not acceptable to me.
Im at my wits end with sprint
I tried Tmobile for a week before canceling during the 15 day period. Speeds outdoors were good, but when I entered buildings I lost service completely. If you switch to Tmobile make sure you test indoors. I went from 5 bars at my desk to zero.
T-Mobile service is good in my area. I might consider it. GSM is better than CDMA anyways. I always liked tmobile. But i think im gonna have to wait until my contract is over.

Lol....I don't think the GPS is actually good enough to lead right to my porch....but either way I don't enable the gps satellites so the location is a bit off. Got very close, but still about 3 blocks off.
EDIT: I was more worried about IP haha, but I'm guessing that info there isn't important.
I'm interested in seeing how this pans out. I just wish it was easier to try out T-Mobile in my area without feeling like a douche if I say no and return everything. (lol)

Supposedly, everything unlimited would be $89.99/Mo. Not sure if that's worth the huge ETF for Sprint, but it's tempting for me, especially since I would pare that down a bit by getting as few minutes as possible.

Let sprint kick you to the curb all you have to do is roam 24/7 sprint will eventually drop you with no etf. That's a option to try. If t mobile didn't want a fee to sign up I would do just that.

After 20 years on ATT, first time switch to Sprint, very bad

So after almost 20 years on ATT, have never changed providers, multiple models and makes of phones on ATT and never had a signal issue, outages yes, due to storms but once service back, no complaints
Made the switch for the 1st time over to Sprint, Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB (for some reason the automated system recognizes phones as 32GB).
After 48 hours on Sprint, horrible horrible horrible voice quality issues (ATT has quad band coverage in area, both 3G and 4G) and despite phone being a 4G, can only see 3G icon lit, anywhere within 50 miles of home. I am paying a surcharge of 10.00 extra for 4G for multiple phones, have yet to see the service. Yes, Sprint promised it would work.
Purchased legitimate (yes I know I can root using qbking videos and Team Epic files) wifi hotspot to tether, keeps dropping connection every few minutes where ATT tether was flawless.
Sprint says "we are working on new towers, service will improve, you have 14 days to return phones are we will refund or replace..."
Sigh.
It isn't a $10 4g fee
Its a premium data fee A.K.A. unlimited 3g/4g/roaming where available
Use s4gru.com to see when you will get lte
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Emperor using psycommu
Yes, the $10 fee was originally for wimax 4G, but after people complained Sprint reworded it as "premium data". Now Even smart phones that only have 3G get this charge.
Add far as voice service, yes Sprint is in the middle of their network vision improvements so ymmv, I have great voice service.
Seems you didn't do enough research before you switched to Sprint and went off the sales pitch the person gave you. Sales people in general will say just about anything to make the sale and get the commission.

The good news is your an educated consumer and you already know you have 14 days to return everything and cancel service and go back to ATT.

1. The GS3 is an LTE phone, not a 4G phone. So if they havent turned on LTE in your area, then yeah no duh you wont get it.
2. You are paying $10 a month for data, not specifically 4G. Yes its BS but deal with it, every company has the charge but in different words.
3. If its not working, complain that you get no service and return it for a refund. You have 14 days.

My question is, do you even know what you are doing? Did you read ANYTHING about the phone or how it works, did you research the service quality in your area before switching?
Where are you located? I can understand your frustration, it's hard for me to believe that you are saying that ATT voice is clearer than Sprints
I mean I guess if you're roaming and on another tower not owned by Sprint
I'm going to guess your location is your major problem, do you live in a rural area? Sprint works really well in Metro areas, not so much in the rural areas although they are broadening their coverage to these type of areas.
In my opinion, CDMA technology has sharper voice than GSM
Too bad you are experiencing this type of issue.

If it saves you a year of misery, Sprint's stated *GOAL* for network vision is a pathetic 6 mbps. Compare that *goal* to what people you know are getting with AT&T, Verizon, and even T-mobile *today*, and decide for yourself whether Sprint is even worth bothering with.
Frankly, I'm through with Sprint. If it weren't for the Galaxy Note 2 tantalizing me on or before 10/15, I'd have probably gone to the AT&T store today and bought a GS3 instead. In fact, if they announce a release date after that, I'll just get the S3, becase I hate my unflashable Photon with a passion, and can't replace it with a Sprint S3 because *then* I'd have no usable data service (wimax works ok here, but no LTE yet, and EVDO here has been 6 to ~80kbps down lately. I had faster 1xRTT 5 years ago).

i been telling people to stay clear from sprint for months. I will admit it's bad if your coming from a carrier with usable internet pretty much everyone except Sprint, it will be hard adjusting. I used 8 gigs a month at T-Mobile and with sprint I'm lucky to crack 500 mb. I will be heading back to T-Mobile after dec lesson well learned if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Exactly. It's just about stable enough in Dallas that I have ditched my AT&T Note and strictly carry my Sprint phone. Att and Verizon speeds are comparable. Voice quality in this market is unmatched. Sprint wins hands down. whoopdy doo...Tmobile now has unlimited...and is garbage here in big D.
The only one here in the market that may have a competitive edge is Metro with voice over LTE...though their unlImIted data, speeds are capped at 5mbps
I'm not even going to get into the whole grandfathered data on Att being throttled and the new share plans pricing structure being absurd.

I seriously dont understand how people complain about sprint. Its probably 25-35% cheaper compared to every other contract carrier...and was one of the first contract carriers to offer unlimited data, not sure if it still is. I get many discounts off my bill simply because I have state farm insurance and other various memberships. I had verizon for YEARS, switched to sprint, could hardly tell the difference. 90% of the time its all in your head.

LTE is 4g....
And because sometimes people are honest? If everyone just stole it, Sprint would be much more likely to figure out a way to block it. If you're going to actually use it regularly I think people should pay for it.

I was under the impression that 6mbps was their goal for their average speeds. People with Sprint LTE right now are posting 30 mbps speeds. When I had Verizon I would get 5 mbps on LTE at home, where I had low signal, and 25 to 30 at work, where I had excellent signal. There's a huge difference when talking between peak and average speeds.

Weak LTE Reception

Is anyone else out there experiencing weak LTE reception? I had an iphone 5 for 10 days and although the experience of IOS 6 for a long time android user was disappointing, the 4G signal reception was amazing. in spots where I had LTE with the iphone i no longer have it with the LGOG. and when I do get an LTE connection there's a few problems:
1. incorrect 'bars' to represent signal strength (which I saw a few on this forum have seen)
2. LTE signal will jump in and out sporadically especially when driving.
3. In my office where I had 2 LTE bars with the IP5 I now have only 3G, with a crazy exception: i'll leave the phone down on the desk for a few mins and when I go to unlock the phone, i'll have a smidgen of LTE! but soon after the 4G drops out and switches back to 3G. (see below pics of before and after I pick up the phone)

I looked up the interwebs to see if there was a difference in where the LTE antennas were placed between the IP5 and the LGOG. The Rx antennas of both devices are placed in the bottom corner of each phone. I thought maybe I was suffering some kind of LTE 'antenna gate' by holding it wrong or something but it's doesn't seem to be the case.
could it be the construction? i'm no physicist but maybe the aluminum body of the IP5 makes it easier for signals to penetrate into the phone than the glass/plastic body of the LGOG?
what do you guys think? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Seems to be the lgog. Samsung 3 gets better reception on Sprint also. My coworkers get a stronger signal in the same part of the bldg. I just figured Sprint is squeezing signal by device.

I do not have LTE in my area, but I do know that the signal bars do not represent 4g signal strength, that is voice signal.

I've had lte since around Aug sept time frame, during which time I've had the evo lte, s3, I5, and this. By far this has the worst radio of them all lte sucks on it
Edit
Let me reword my statement. As far as lte reception this phone is horrendous the bars displayed when on lte are for lte. But the radio won't pull more than 86dbm standing 100 yards away from a known sprint tower. This phone will take a few minutes to pick up lte were as other phones would pick up lte as soon as I hit an lte area, ultimately this phone is one radio update away from having great signal because it's all in the tuning of the radio. And it's 6 is a huge disappointment just as the frequent drooped calls I got while on the iphone. One last thing I blame the reception issues on LG, it's in sprints best interest to get people off of its aging 3g network

To tell the truth it's all up to you if I had an extra 200 laying around I would've taken this back and gotten the note. It depends on how big of an issue it is to you right now I'm dealing with it. It just sucks when I drive around and see I'm on 3g when I know sprint has lte at my location. Usually all it takes for me to connect to lte is to toggle airplane mode on and off I was hoping zv9 came with a radio update but it didn't
Honestly I get poor 3g reception a lot with this phone. Haven't dropped any calls really. Compared to my epic at work I get spotty 3g. I used to have no problem with it. My girls gs3 gets both 3g and 4g better than this phone. Just hope they get a fix soon.

it truly is the ONLY thing I can complain about this phone. the faux chrome trim is a little tacky but that's negligible. well I still have 9 days before I have to return it...maybe a miraculous fix will come around by then. if not, out she goes and i'm back to my evo.
I'm getting really bad reception too, and its really disappointing since I bought the phone specifically for 4G. Looks like it'll be going back since no one has a solution.
My LTE is also weak which is my only real complain about this phone. I'm within my 30 day return policy with Best Buy. I'm still thinking of keeping it because I'm always on wifi. My dilemma is I've been through all of sprints flagship devices already and this 1 is actually better than all of them. Nothing's currently out there that I would swap it for.
I might ante up the extra 100 dollars and just get the note 2, which I previously own and enjoyed it but just didn't like the size.
