Are you playing any music or podcast? That is the only way mediaserver consume battery on my phone.

[Q] Battery Drop on F240k Kitkat Stock

Hi. I'm having a problem with my G Pro Stock Kitkat. After using a battery calibration tool, I suddenly experienced battery drops on my phone. From 100%, i checked the battery settings or status, and it says that I only have 3-5 hours to use my phone. I think it may be incorrect. After some minutes, I see my battery percentage continuously dropping like crazy. Could someone help me fix this? Thanks in advance.

We're going to need additional details in order to diagnose and possibly troubleshoot the battery drain. First and foremost we need to know which particular apps you often use on your phone. From there we'll need to see which apps consume battery while the screen is on and youy're on your phone, and which ones continue to drain while screen is off. I recommend you download battery monitor apps such as GSAM battery monitor (include also the root companion), as well as either wakelock detector or better battery stats. With those apps we'll be able to sense as well whether system processes contribute to the drain.
Drain your battery, have this apps installed then full charge your bat. Once full charged begin monitoring then send screenshots once battery is about to run out.
And also, battery is automatically calibrated by android so battery calibration apps are quite redundant.

[Q] High battery drain in standby

Hi,
I think i have a battery drain problem with my G Pad since the last firmware update (V50020d).
In 10 hours standby I loose round about 5% battery power. (WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS turned off)
Before the update there was nearly no standby power consumption, maybe 1% over night.
I tried to solve the problem with a factory reset, but the problem still persists.
I havent rooted the device, so I can only use the PC Version from wakelock detector here from xda.
Maybe this screenshots could help:

I hope you could help me solving this problem.
Greetings Ardion

Have you tried Greenify? its useful.
Sence you're rooted, also try some xposed module like xblast tools which modifies the biuld prop, or Greenify with xposed...
Hi thanks for your answer.
I have not rooted my device.

Try taking our your sdcard and see if the high battery drain overnight goes away. Some folks have noticed that the sdcard is now remounting several times a night and this causes the media server to scan the card over and over again all night resulting in battery drain. If the problem goes away with the removal of the sdcard you at least know what is causing it. Then you can join us in the thread where we are trying to track down what causes the sdcard bad removals....
Ok check your battery status and see if some google services is working in the background and uses some battery

Hi,
 @muiriddin
I tried this last night, but the problem is not fixed.
Seems like the micro SD card is not the problem.
But thanks for your advice.
@Jhon998
When i look in the battery statistics it just said 21% Tablet idle.

For how long it eats 21%?
The tablet uses 21% battery in round about 2,5 days standby.
I still could not solve the problem, so I rooted my G Pad with ioroot.
BetterBatteryStats sayed the problem is com.google.android.gms.
See attached screenshots for more information.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Sorry that I do not have anything to offer by ways of an answer, but in what I feel may be a relevant addition to the topic, I've found that my VK810 actually *loses* battery even while it's charging and in use. With the charger hooked up, I can see the percentage dropping steadily even during light tasks such as web browsing, albeit at a slower rate than when it's unplugged.
See this how i left it all night...

[Q] Battery drain by LGActionManager.apk

Hello, I have searched for a while trying to find out what com.lge.mrg.service (LGActionManager.apk) does and if it's a critical app. It seems to be at the top of my battery consumption list (64%). Is it safe to freeze or unintall? I'm rooted. Thanks!

[Q] Battery drains very fast

Hi,
During the past week I have a very strange problem in my Galaxy Nexus.
Battery suddenly started to drain very very quickly.
After 8 hours while I am sleeping in which 3G \ Wireless \ location services\ sync etc. are closed I lose 25-30% battery. (Before this happened I would have lost only 10% in this situation).
Of course while using the device the battery drains even faster.
Luckily I have 2 batteries and use both actively, second battery started act like the first, so the battery is not the problem.
In the battery usage screen there is nothing suspicious.
I installed Wakelock Detector and Better Battery Stats, everything is fine there too.
I have Greenify and I hibernate all the unnecessary applications.
I had a PA rom when it happened, then I switched to SlimKat, same problem. Then again I returned to the PA and the problem isn't vanished.
Between changing ROMs I've erased the phone.
I've also tried to put custom kernels but nothing helped me!
I have no more ideas, can someone please help?
Thank you very much!
I noticed this too, under battery info in settings I found the only culprit to be the latest/updated Google Play Services that kept preventing my GN to enter into deep sleep mode and the only way to fix it was to force close this service.
But then every once in a while it would start running again, so now I've just put a shortcut icon on the home screen to help quickly force close it from app info.
