Hi,
I have a HTC Touch which I am currently using the Pocket Player software to stream my music from my PC which is located upstairs. I can connect the Touch to my Stereo amplifier through a USB/Jack cable and play the music through my Hifi speakers rather than headphones but I was wondering if it would be possible for me to transmit the audio to my amplifier by way of Bluetooth. It would cerntainly allow me the freedom of changing tracks on my phone sitting in my armchair rather than sat next to my amplifier through a cable. I.E Streaming music from my PC through Wi-FI, via my HTC Touch through bluetooth.
Hope this makes sense. Has anyone done it and is there a noticible difference in sound quality when sending music by bluetooth rather than a wired connection.
I have seen various Bluetooth type devices on ebay and amazon that claim to do this type of thing but as I have never tried Bluetooth I am a little sceptical and not sure exactly what is required. I assume that as my Touch can send Bluetooth beam I would only need a reciever to connect the Jack plug from my amp, is this correct? Or would it be better to buy a jack transmitter/receiver for the job.
I don't want to spend a whole lot of money doing this just to test so can anyone recomend a device.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Both of these work well.
original belkin tunestage
...working nicely for me.
Is this phone supported tv out because this phone has 4 pin jack
Thank for your answers.
No, and I don't really see any reason to connect the phone to TV, since it don't have an HDMI output, and it can't play DiVX videos.
Still, you can connect your phone to your sound system by a jack-jack cable, and the sound system's AUX plug. I'm using a 5.1 audio system like this, and it is great to listen to my music like this. You should give it a shot.
Is it possible to play my HTC One X music over bluetooth to my car stereo?
I have seen evidence in other HTC forums that it might be but I cant seem to make it work, when I pair my phone with my stereo i can make calls through it but when I play music it comes out of the phones speaker instead - any ideas?
If not i'l just use the audio jack cable aux input like i did with my old HD2...

I find it rather hit and miss with me. It does work, but sometimes I have to reboot the phone before it will connect to media audio. Other times it just connects to phone audio, which is very annoying!
Wonder if its a bug?

It's a Bluetooth receiver that plugs into the 3.5mm aux. Simply connect to the One X to the BT Receiver and play your music
EDIT: One thing to bare in mind is that is does require power. You would need to purchase a 12v adapter to plug into the cigarette lighter.
The phone will output to your stereo via bluetooth, set mine up yesterday and it was working fine, not used it enough to see any problems but it definitely works assuming your stereo is compatible.
there is an option in the ics music player to pick what output you want it to play to, menu/select player, and your bt stereo should be listed if its paired correctly.
Should display artist track info on your stereos display and allow you to skip tracks etc, didn't actually try that yesterday but my HD2 could do it so will be a bit miffed if the One X can't.

Sorry, but HD2 has a AVRCP 1.3 but all of HTC Android series has AVRCP 1.0 version... Soo, not artist or track info transmit to device.. It's android related thing, not HTC's fault...
But, Samsung Android phones has AVRCP 1.3 (SGS II, Note..)... It seems, Samsung make different bluetooth stack instead of stock android one...
connected my one x to my car yesterday (normal VW golf audio system) via bluetooth.
calls AND sound both work fine, without any problemes. Like it did with my DHD
greetings
jabra bt3030 is another alternative, it connects to phone via bluetooth and then you can plugin a 3.5mm headphone cable to your head unit - only thing is , a2dp sucks compared to simply plugging in the phone, its quieter and the quality isn't as good.

Exactly my thought. The only reason to have BT in such a scenario is to let people in the back seats control the music. In all other cases, if you have to use an extension cord anyway, why not plug it directly in the phone? The only BT "dongle" that makes sense (in that eliminates the need for a cord) is the HTC one that plugs directly in the aux jack socket of the car stereo (IMHO, and excluding sound quality from the equation).
Does anyone know of a way to actually STOP it automatically playing music over bluetooth?
I have a Ford Mondeo and had the same irritant with HTC Desire in that once connected, it will automatically start playing music over bluetooth. All well and good apart from when I want to put a film on for the kids in the back and have the audio over the stereo.
All I want is a way of telling the in built music player to not start!

Well that sucks, im sure some roms will have it given time though
Like alot of people who bought the dongle, i was getting crappy audio. I was messing around with different video players and found that the AllShare play app gave me good sound for about 1 minute, then popped up a message saying something about not being able to play enhanced audio without headphones plugged in. Then audio would go back to ****. So I plugged in headphones, which killed the connection with the dongle, but when I took them back out and reconnected to the dongle, the audio was back to sounding good. So if you have crappy audio playing through the AllShare dongle, plug in earphones, then take them out, and the audio should sound better. If you're playing video through AllShare play, it will break the connection with the dongle, but other video players will just cut out the audio for the duration of the headphones being plugged in.
FYI: I'm not running any roms on my SG3. Everything is completely stock.
Just got the LG G5 Marshmellow. I have an older car stereo with an aux port and use a bluetooth audio reciever. My other phones didnt have this problem. When I connect to the bluetooth reciever it plays music no prob but when a call comes in it will not play through the stereo it shuts music off and you have to use the ear piece. My other phones played both media and call audio no prob. Anyone no a fix. I have searched and found nothing yet.
