Don't try flashing a rom through ODIN. Use the 1 clock back to stock method. Try this:
1. Download this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032924
It's an excellent 1 click back to stock tool.
2. Run it.
3. Pull your battery, go into ODIN mode. (Power, home and volume up)
4. Connect the phone via USB.
The program should see the phone now, just click install and it will re-apply stock rom and kernel. I bricked the ^&*% out of my phone about a month ago and this saved my ass big time

SMFH. Odin is Odin is Odin. Sure the one click is easier and better for noobs but if regular odin couldn't detect it, neither will the one-click.

You mean soft bricked the sh*t outta ur device. As once again odin isn't magic. If its fully bricked then odin has no value here. Dont give people false hope.

Maybe try being constructive instead of negative. OP stated "the computer recongize the phone when i was in odin"
I assumed that meant he was able to connect in ODIN mode but couldn't get it back to stock.

Now you have to get the original unrooted factory rom .tar file and restore your phone back to factory. Your phone is just soft bricked so you are very lucky. Use google or the xda search feature and look up something along the lines of "SGH-T989 .tar file" or "T-Mobile Galaxy S II tar". The exact file you need is floating around here somewhere.

There is no stock rom tar file for our phone yet. We only have a kernel and stock recovery tar.

Honestly I haven't done this yet with the GS2, but I've done it a million times with a Vibrant I once owned. I'm gonna look it up right now and see what I find. This should be a pretty easy process. The best part is that at least your phone isn't completely bricked.

First do a battery pull, then put the battery back into the phone, hold both the up and down volume rocker and press the power button till the phone vibrates (letting you know its been turned on), soon as the phone vibrate then release the power button but do not let go of the volume rocker until you see the recovery image! Once you see the recovery image you are easily back in business. Let me know if you can at least get into recovery.

What ROM did you guys install? Few questions. Did you guys install Samsung drivers. If not install through kies or from the development section here and reboot computer. Then put in download mode and wait for comp. to recognize phone again. try entering recovery and flash a basic stock ROM from dev section. See if that works.

Help Please: Phone not booting up

Strange thing happened to my phone yesterday night. I was watching netflix for a while and after some time the screen just went blank. I am not able to restart the phone. It got struck in the kernel bootup(Darkside kernel, TDJ's darkside rom) and it was restarting again and again till i remove the battery.
I am able to get into recovery mode but not able to restore any of my backup's. It just went blank during restoring system. I tried installing the same ROM(Darkside Digitsl warfare v2.5.1) from my internal SD card but it just went blank after some time. I tried the juggernaut-5 . It didnt throw up any error but when i restart it its again displaying the darkside kernel and boot looping.
Any one can you please help me to get out of this mess. I need to travel on Monday so desperately need my phone fixed before that. Please help. I have not installed anything new over the last 1 month and didnt have any problems till now. Thank you
System Details:
ROM: Darkside Digitsl warfare v2.5.1
ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.7

Try it again. The phone has to be in download mode before you plug it into the computer. And are you flashing it as PDA? People have reported it taking a couple tries.
Usually if you can get into download mode you can fix it. If you're stuck and your computer won't recognize your phone, try getting back into download mode. If you're sending it in for repair anyways, it's better to have a full brick so they can't see that you rooted.
Another option if you can't get into download mode, buy a USB Jig, they are usually less than $10 and they can sometimes get you back into download mode.

So Am i good for an warranty exchange? or will samsung would be able to know i installed custom roms. In the ODIN mode it still shows custom binary mode as NO.
The strange thing is i didnt do anything on my phone for last 1 month. The only thing i could think off is, one of scheduled titanium backup ran at 3.00 AM when i was in netflix with the phone charging, and i got a msg that the backup failed. When i woke up it started boot looping. And during the ODIN i tried today, I was making sure i am doing right by following the guidelines(ODIN back to stock).
I have all my nandroid backups(different rom versions) & titanium backups, will i be able to use it in my new phone after rooting with the same recovery version?
Thank you. I really appreciat all your help.

Are you running Odin as administrator?
Manually download the device drivers from the how to root thread and install them on your computer. right click on Odin and run as administrator. Open the stock rom file in the PDA field and run it.. There is no reason it shouldn't work if you can get into download mode.
Try downloading the stock rom again, maybe it's a bad download.

I may have lied about the girls, but here is my problem. I was on CM 10.1 Nightly 4/17 or something. I tried flashed Ktoonssez kernal....and it bricked my phone. I managed to get download mode but I am not sure what to do. Finals are coming up, and I have some lecture recording so if there is anyway to get everything back. If not I still want to stay on CM 10.1 I cannot enter recovery but before I flashed I made a nandoid back up in TWRP. IF anyone can help me ASAP I would really appreciate it!!!!
Came for the girls, disappointed.
Flash a stock ROM via odin, factory reset from recovery, flash TWRP, restore backup.
PS it's kernEl

Okay I think I scerwed it up even more.
I did the odin think, but now it doesn't even boot. It doesn't charge either, all it does is vibate whenever I try to boot it up. I cant get into Recoevery or Download. I think I hard bricked it, Will I need a Jig?

Yes it did, and then I followed up with CF root. which I think is what messed up because it didnt fail or pass. It just said complete. Will a Jig fix it? It stills vibrates but thats about it.

You probably need a JIG , not sure what you did there but a JIG should get it into download mode

I realized what I did wrong, I flashed a different file, and for some reason I managed to get back on Download mode! Hopefully I get it right now
