The US Cellular NOte 2 model number is sch-r950
Currently I have figured out everything to use my boost incognito as a donor phone for my sch-r950 but it will not activate maybe because its not on the right radios?
For now I want to attempt to put in the Sprint radios and see if the SprintZone can connect.

I have Cricket radio. Used Lotus as Donar.
I have calling and texting, just no data or mobile network.
Trying to find out what PRL I use.
Sprint.

I'm now on att with gsm unlocked. It is a Verizon model. If I flash an att rom will it work? Can anyone confirm ?

For any one interested I have successfully flashed att rom to my Verizon note2 with no additional steps needed. This is only good for someone using the gsm side as there now no option for cdma. But just letting everyone know

Are you getting LTE service?
No lte. I also can confirm gps dont work anymore

what rom did you flash?
All att roms work. But I could not get lte or gps to work. Was a no go for me as I use as my primary gps.

note 2 verizon on att.. no gps...
I too have a note 2 verizon model, I loaded the clean rom 5 ace and chose att. I also use straight talk as my carrier, My gps quit working!!
The reason I picked att is when I run verizon on the install is that when a call comes it it has a +1, when I call someone right back I get a international call failed every fricken time. anyone have a fix for "note 2 verizon on att service" Please help'!!!

Yeah I know that, I was just wondering if there was any modded radio or modem made for i317 users on T-Mobile.
Or what would be the best recommended radio/modem for i317 users on T-Mobile, if any at all?
I typically try to stick to rom's with no radios/modems, so my phone isn't uselessly searching and searching for AT&T Signals since it's on T-Mobile... If that makes any sense, plus just to save the battery a lil bit more, since I don't need them.

When ya did that was it cause the newest one wasnt out yet?
I'm on 4.1.2, so I wonder if I should use the 4.1.2 version, also the modem ya can just install through TWRP or do I need to use Odin? I'm thinking Odin instructions is for the factory image..

Okay tried that made sure make a nandroid backup including my existing modem, flashed the new modem and it'd recheck the app's then finish that and sit there stuck and frozen on sorting app's, had to restore from nandroid.

Ok, you have a TMO GN2 right? And your saying the you have a AT&T modem on there? Because that will brick the phone. But if you have it up an running then your good to go. My buddy has the TMO version. So when I switched or his modem with the new one his speeds increased. So I'm saying if yours if a TMO GN2, then you'll b ok flashing a TMO modem!

Naw vice versa kinda, I have unlocked AT&T Note 2 (i317) on T-Mobile, I know better to cross flash rom's so to speak (Ya know flash a T889 rom onto a i317), but I was just wondering since there were so many AT&T Note 2 users on T-Mobile if there was any sort of a hacked and modified T-Mobile Radio/Modem for the Unlocked AT&T Note 2, to get the most out of our signal, connection and speed.
Also if it was needed at all since we have the AWS Mod.

I don't think there's one out there! But you can always keep searching tho. That's why we have Google for!! Especially if you have the AWS working already!

Is it possible to get ATT LTE on tmobile note 2? I have unlocked tmobile note 2 with ATT sim..im getting 4g but unable to get LTE. i tried switching my data plan, even got the lte sim from att store. Im on a cfw clear rom ace with persues kernel. Any help would be appreciated!

I can't say anything scientific or definite, but I just did this last night. I flashed the latest tmobile radio and the Novella Dos AT&T rom and it just worked.
Don't think so they are on different frequency

Really? If you did thats very interesting... maybe the new radio and rom opened the phone to at&ts lte bands.

I intially tried the ATT radio but it bootlooped. So I know for sure it was a the Tmo radio

Do you have a link for the radio? I would like to flash it because my t889 wont get a 4g lte signal either.
You think it would work without the at&t rom?

But I have it unlocked and I have an at&t go phone sim in it.
While standing in an at&t store, I was looking at another go phone on the lte network
Standing only 1 foot away maybe is my device on at&t go phone network on hspa:11
So what is the problem?

Yes, I think, its in auto mode
And in this mode on tmobile lte kicked in, but not on att.

I think more than that, you have to enable the ATT LTE bands on the radio itself... that is a change made in the radio itself that doesn't change if you flash ROMs or whatever... ATT and T-Mobile use different frequency bands, so this may be all that you need to change... If you search here, I know I came across a thread about enabling those ATT bands... I don't have a T-Mobile Note2, so I didn't bookmark it... but I know it's on here...

You can NOT cross flash modems. With ANY Device!!!. You'll end up with a lot of PROBLEMS.:banghead: Or even a brick!!
What you need to do is the AWS bands unlock feature!
Check here for what you need. Hope that helped you with your PROBLEMS!

Any galaxy s phone can use modem.bin or mdm.bin from any other galaxy s phone. As long as they are not sprint or verizon.

Well I haven't done anything like that. Don't think TMO GN2 modem will work well on a AT&T GN2... you'll end up with boot loops!!
Try it and let me know you out come.

Lmao now That is a neb question. Modems will brick your phone dude. Only flash stuff from other carriers if it is confirmed working. In this case is a big no no

you need to read up on how to change the prl. download dfs demo version and that will allow you to do it. I am on a sprint note 2 with full bars and 3g on pageplus. you need verizon 3g keys to get full 3g if not then you will go in and out of 1x. for dfs to work you need to go into your phone and dial ##diag#.tap on qualcomm usb settings then click on DM+Modem+adb then connect phone to computer and open dfs. lots of info doing this so use google to help.
Oh tgabks for the info but ive aldready did all that I was up late last night flashing it and I think I got a little crazy minded . .all is well now I just had to flash a different prl apparntly rhe the one I was using was old thanks for the help mod please shut down the thread
