I've got a T-Mobile T889 and am interested in getting a wireless back cover like a friend has on his s3. I see them advertised
for the N7100 and am wondering if those would work on my T889. Thanks.

Hello ,
I plan to change the battery door of my t-mobile note 2.
Most of the battery door I've seen on line are for the N7100, will this fit the T-889 (t-mobile) note 2?
Yes they will
Just want to make sure, I think you tried it?

Hi
So long story short, my Tmo GS3 got stolen at my work :/
So my mom gave me her ATT GS3 cus she was up for an upgrade,
i been reading its possible to get 4G on an ATT GS3 but so far no luck,
i know i have the right APN cus i copied the one from my Nex4 to my GS3, i set the network to manual and choose Tmo, but still all i get is Edge.
Does it have to do something with the way i unlocked the phone?
I been reading it has to be factory unlock and i unlocked mine by dialing *#197328640# and doing the required steps.
Can anyone help me with this?
Maybe you should try posting in the ATT S3 forums? I'm pretty sure that most people here have the TMO variant, while you are looking for tweaking of the ATT variant.

Don't flash a T-Mobile modem, it will brick. T-Mobile and AT&T use different frequencies for hspa+ in most places, and the AT&T version doesn't have the hardware to pick up the most used T-Mobile frequency I believe. So you're probably stuck with edge

You ARE stuck on edge.... I know it sucks. unless you are in a refarming area http://www.airportal.de/ , (major cities) your AT&T S3 1900/2100Mhz high speed data (4G) band will not work on T-Mobile's 1700/2100Mhz networks. I would sell it on e-bay or craigslist and got your T-mobile S3 again. or get the T-Mobile S4 after you sell your att S3 :cyclops:
I wonder if the APN settings will work on our phones whenever someone gets one and posts the settings.

I'm interested in this too!! Just bought an at&t version gs3 brand new a month ago for $250.00. I have since unlocked, rooted, and rom'd. Had to trim down my sim but everything works great, obviously no LTE though.

Yea I'm thinking those APN settings will work once we get a hold of them. It tells me that Straight Talk finally has LTE so that is awsome!!!
Where did you get a brand new S3 for $2fitty?

What network does it run on? CDMA based or GSM? If its CDMA I wonder if its Sprint over verizon and T-Mobile probably if GSM.

Its the AT&T version i747 so it's gsm. Took my sim out of my straight talk galaxy s2, trimmed it into a micro sim, set my apn and was good to go!!

Do you know what are the APN settings on it and is LTE true or just H+? As I have an i747.
Edit: Everything I read online says that it is a CDMA model, Sprint supported at that, not Verizon. You sure you just didn't get sold a i747 model? lol

Looks to me that the ST GS3 (SCH-S960L) is CDMA... I'm guessing it's Sprint since their other mvno's(boost & virgin) are getting LTE phones.

FYI: DMF1977 clearly stated above the phone purchased was an AT&T i797 GS3 not the new Straight Talk version.

Every rom in the AT&T section (aka here) will work with your phone as well as some in the N7105 section but i would suggest just sticking to the At&t section
Ok kinda what he said^^^^^^^. Also everything won't work on your phone, especially anything with the AT&T modem/radio included. So I would make sure what ever you decide to use that its modem free. Since your using a T-Mobile GN2. I just loaded up SKY NOTE 9. On my TMO GN2. Works great for me to...

Why would you buy the att note 2 and use it on t mobile when t mobile sells the gn2?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Hello, all.
I recently decided that I must move from T Mobile to ATT because of unresolvable signal issues with the Note 3 at work. The phone was paid for in full at T-Mobile, and I was told that all I needed to do to move to ATT was to follow an unlocking procedure, which I did at the ATT store. At the ATT store I also moved my Nexus 5 over to ATT without a hitch, but the Note 3 has no LTE or data for that matter. Voice and text work fine. This had the ATT employee stumped.
Is there a technical reason for this and if so, how do I fix it? Many thanks.
You need to add the APN for AT&T data. I'm running a T-Mobile version on AT&T as well.

At&t is better than tmo? Better NAHHHH. Better speeds? Mayyyybe just maybe

I played around with the APN settings, eventually just copying what was on my Nexus 5 and PERFECT! Everything works now.
Much thanks!

I really didn't want to give up T-Mobile because I was getting amazing 40/10Mbps LTE. It doesn't matter to me what I get at home, since my home connection is 100/5. Now I'm on AT&T I am getting about 6/1 but at least I can use my phone at work without worrying about reliability.

Yes, just slightly.
But on the Note 3 the URLs were some sort of Cingular address.

Yes you can! The newer galaxy models like the note 3 and synchronized what bands they utilize for communication.
