Do you mean in the notification bar? If so just install a weather program that leaves the temp on the left of the notification bar and it will take the place of the carrier label.

This may be what you're looking for. As always, backup before you mess with system settings

Hey all...new to this whole custom ROM business...just a quick question in regards to changing texts on lockscreen.
I have flashed Jedi Invasion rom and I noticed on the lock screen that it has text thats says "Jedi invasion" how would I go about removing or changing that. And also when you pull down the notification drawer there is text at the bottom that has "deviant" how does one go about changing the text in the notification drawer?
Appreciate the help, apologize for the noob question

From everything I could find it seems the Dev decided to brand his/her ROM. only way to change it is in the code itself.
I could very well be wrong but I don't see anything about it anywhere. Best suggestion is to PM the Dev if they accept PMs for support. Sorry man.

Thanks for replying RPelham....so there's no file in systemUI that can be opened where the text is located and can be modified?

Figured out lockscreen
K, figured out how to remove text from the lockscreen, just have to uncheck "help text" in lockscreen options under settings.
Still would like to know how to change text in the notification drawer
Is there any way to hide a notification bar icon? I always have my alarm set and don't want my notification bar to be crowded.

I don't think there's an option within touchwizz, but I use a 3rd party app and there's no icon.

You could ask the nice folks in some of the apps and themes threads to remove it for you. But it would be something you will have to flash, assuming you're rooted, and flash to restore if you ever want it back.

Nova has the option to hide it if you don't want to root.

For lock screen and notification pulldown BTW not from settings, either an app or a system file mod
Wrong Section buddy, should be in questions not under themes and apps. But since i'm not like the other jerks out there, i can help you just pm me. I can give you instructions or i can mod the files for you to whatever you would like.
not really the answer to your question but you could try AOKP ROM. it has option to change carrier label in settings

I believe it's relative to the launcher and ROM you are using. For example, on AOKP ROM I can hide all the toggles or I can have them hide when I don't need to use them.
If you are using stock or stock rooted, the option is probably not there. It's also possible a launcher could help out but I'm not quite sure. I really think it's relative to the ROM.
Helpful tips to OP... No one answered you cause of a few things; your title doesn't attract well. The post has no good info for us to help you at all. Take time in posting things, don't just rush to ask, other wise you get nothing.

Is there any way to put the clock on the left side of the status bar? I know you can do center and right but I like the way left looks. If this is simple and is already around here somewhere I apologize I looked and couldn't find it. thanks for your time.

Yeah its possible through smali edits. Search through XDA and you should be able to find some tutorials out there. If not ask foreverloco..he is in my opinion one of the best themers out there and knows pretty much anything about theming apk files!
Give me a day and I'll throw it together for you. I need you to upload your SystemUi.apk though and need to know what rom you're on.
