The best way to instal it..
The Normal Way!!
Backup your apps by using appbak or others (for call logs and you can use Call Logs Backup and Restore, and for SMS history u can use SMS Bagkup and Restore)
ONLY use ClockworkMod V5/6 recovery to flash this
Do a full backup of your current ROM
Go to mounts and storage
Format /System /Data /Cache
Go back and Wipe Data/factory reset
Go to Advanced
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Go back and Install the Rom
Fix Permissions(In Advanced)
Reboot And Enjoy!!

Maybe, you might only need to do a rom wipe but who knows for sure
OK I've done that then i got a lot of FCs... Then I install ROM by wiping everything like normal, and Antutu score is 5000+!!! After that, I decided to install the VMLagTurner... And I got 4700 pts around there...

Battery life compared to cm9?

flappjaxxx Proudly Presents!
h0tcakez AOSP ICS and Jellybean Kernel!
Now supporting Hercules!
Read this first post thoroughly. When you are done, Read It Again!
Standard Features Include:
This is my own custom kernel built from CM9/CM10 kernel source with overclock up to 1.83GHz and undervolt support for AT&T Galaxy Note i717, Skyrocket i727 & Hercules t989!
Overclock up to 1.83 GHz
Undervolting support
GPU overclock support with the below script
sio and v/r I/O schedulers added
Standard governors. ondemand, interactive, powersave, userspace, conservative, performance.
ondemand governor is default. No I won't be adding any more.
Backlight Notification Support. Grab BLN Free or Paid from the Play Store
This 'should' not 'will' work on any Jellybean variant ROMs built after 10/14/2012 and possibly others. (See kernel versions below)
The ICS variant 'should' not 'will' work on any current ICS and/or ICS AOSP variant ROMs (See kernel versions below)
Download GPU OC script here for ICS or JB then flash from recovery
To set GPU back to stock speeds just delete this file '/system/etc/init.d/99gpuoc’ and reboot.
Click to collapse
What are the differences in the kernels?
AOSP = This is AOSP specific and includes the standard AOSP boot.img and ramdisk etc.
All Roms = This will actually just replace the raw kernel image itself in your current running boot.img, preserving your ramdisk and repacking your existing boot.img so in theory this 'should' not 'will' work with ROMs other than AOSP. No guarantees.
ALT = These are Alternate kernels with some commit reverts for those having capacitive buttons not working issue, this should solve that issue. (Doesn't apply to ICS and is probably not need for JB either, this was a Note issue)

Our phone has very less RAM to run ICS or JB in fully optimised manner. So these ROM's slightly fulfil that requirement. As the apps in these
ROM's occupy very less RAM of around, 20 to 30 MB only !
Due to less RAM consumption, phone tends to be more responsive, smooth and faster !
Overall performance increases roughly around, 5 times !
If you are a benchmark believer, then AnTuTu scores were also slightly higher compared to the original ROM's
These lite ROM's along with any script like Adrenaline Engine, can boost your performance slightly higher.
These ROM's can be used as a daily driver, 100% !
Slim ROM's have slightly higher battery backup compared to the original ROM's. For me atleast, i.e; with minimal usage of phone.
So use these ROM's and decide what is best for you. Thanks for supporting me.
Note-Make sure you have a browser you can install as these roms don't have one. Also you need to install FM Radio. If you are installing Gapps then don't flash the zip or else these roms will lose their purpose so just install apks. :good: Finally these roms contain SimpleSU so you need to flash your own root.zip As well as that you need to install gallery.apk as these roms only have videos.apk, I would suggest you push to system/app.

Video playback working but there is no gallery app you will either have to install or push to system/app. By the way message to all you guys that these roms use simpleSU which requires you to modify root privelleges in build.prop for each app. I would suggest you flash your preferred root.zip.

Hi do not intend to take credit for this, but I as I was searching for Touchwiz UX for the Nexus 4, I came along this post. This is the Touchwiz UX ported from the s3 and resized for the Galaxy Nexus. Knowing the risk, I flashed a zip and noticed that everything was working fine for the Nexus 4. Please understand that I am not responsible for any bricks. Thank you and Enjoy
I already tested it and it is working. My experience may be different from yours.

I did not try 1.3.1 but I am pretty sure it will theme over. The only problem with the theme is that if you slide the status bar down, the date and time are black out and the samsung theme does not look very good with the stock look. You can try it. According to the post, once you flash the add on you can revert back to stock by flashing the stock theme that will be created during the process of flashing the add on.
That's great.but personally I would rather have had S3 than nexus 4

Why would you even want touchwiz?
I also have a GS3 and TW is a laggy, bloated piece of junk covering a sleek, efficient interface.....
Can't believe I spent almost twice the amount of my N4 on the GS3 - my N4 is my weapon of choice....the GS3 is ”pretty" according to my girlfriend.
Nuff said.....but each to his/her own.
Haha I got my gs3 for twenty bucks. So I didn't really complain about it but yeah it does lagg on s3 but not on nexus

This is an Android Jellybean 4.1.2 ROM, based on the sources of CyanogenMod10!
Note: I DID NOT make this ROM. I only ported it from the Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100. Thank Helly Bean, CyanogenMod and the rest of the All-Star Devs for making this possible. Also, thanks ArianaGrande for making this awesome OP!
Features that the CM10 base doesn't have:
- Facebook sync integrated
- Option to enable high end gfx effects, on lower end devices
- Possibility to disable high end gfx effects, on higher end devices
- Possibility to activate and customize navigation bar (color of background, glow effect, transparency)
- Possibility to customize status bar (color of background, transparency)
- Transparent lock screen (taken from ParanoidAndroid, coded by Jesus David)
- Edge swipe navigation (ported from SGT7)
- Ability to enable tablet UI (ported from AOKP)
- Kill-all button in recent apps tray (ported from AOKP)
- Task manger button in the recent apps tray (this needs OS Monitor to be installed, otherwise nothing happens...still a WIP)
- Customizable long-press-back-kill timeout (from 500ms to 3000ms)
-Option to use Sense 4's recent apps tray
- Pdroid patched, if app installed, re-charable at: settings --> system --> security
- Added the possibility to search for contacts by nickname or company name (with dialpad T9, has to be activated in the dialpad settings), cherry-picked from AOKP
- Android 4.2 Swipe Keyboard (added myself)
- And much more!

Nah, I've been planning on porting this for a few days. Look in Q&A. You'll see a Helly Bean thread where I kept people updated.

Have fun! Would you mind pulling some screen shots of some of the Helly Bean features? Also, there's only one bug I know of: storage in settings FC's when you click it. I'll add the bug to the OP once I get to my PC.

Gasp. A ROM that can temporarily steal me away from Sbean! I have belly on my vibrant that I really only use as a music player for my delivery job. It's a damn purdy ROM and I have been wanting to see it on my new phone.
Which gapps should I flash? There's no link that I could see for it. I did see a link to the all star new all star grapps on the pacman liquid smooth ROM page. OK to use that one?

just a hint on fixing the storage FC's, decompile framework-res.apk and look in /res/xml/storage_list.xml and compare it to one of your device's cm10 files.

Big thanks to keepthechange for building beanstalk for hlte! Since there is no official thread yet I thought I'd make a simple one just to share his build. The rom is working very well & everything seems to be working that works in other Cm based roms. Here are some screenshots of this feature rich rom.

Crud. This is my first time ever using a slim ROM and its damn near perfect. Here's to hoping theme choosers will be included in the next update because it'll be the only ROM I'll run

You can still change themes. Download the xposed & go to this thread & install theme manager. You will now have your cake & eat it too
