I been waiting to see if someone does aokp. i compile it myself for my gnex but they dropped support cuz of no maintainer. maybe you should think about helping them out if you can get this up and running. cant wait to try it though. ill wait till someone reports it booting up
edit::
added a copy of logcat on boot maybe that'll help the devs figure out why its not booting

Can't wait til a working build. I am huge fan of AOKP

[MOD][2012-02-22] AOKP Statusbar Bottom Toggle mod

Hi,
I've recompiled SystemUI with power widget toggles on the bottom miui style.
This + Apex Launcher swipe down open notifications is very convenient for me one handed
Was compiled after just syncing with aokp source, so should be fine with build 24-25 I assume

This mod only replaces one file. Just replace /system/app/SystemUI.apk with the one from the AOKP zip to revert. You'll need to mount /system as writable first obviously.

great work.
May I ask, if it's possible to MOD the statusbar and notifications completely upside down.
That is, similar to android 3.0 tablet, statusbar always displaying on the bottom, and swipe up to open notifications with widget toggles also on the bottom.
I think that's even more convenient swiping up than down as the screen becoming bigger...
Thanks.

I installed hellostatusbar from market for this reason, and just have a shortcut on each homescreen heh. Not the most efficient, but with large screen now i dont have to swipe down to access my status bar...

[MOD] CM9 Reloaded Statusbar Mod - Toggles page, centered clock and more (2012-02-28)

Update March 5/12:
I've created a new mod with a settings app and all bugs fixed. There is no tabbed layout yet, but tons of options, check it out here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1531222
This is a mod for CM9 for Galaxy Nexus.
Part of the code is from my previous rom Reloaded for the Motorola Atrix, hence the name
This was compiled on Feb 27 after syncing with CM repo so should work with all kangs (has been tested with my own kang and fitsnugly's)
Features:
- Centered clock
- Modified notifications layout
- Tab for quick toggles (fully configurable from CM9 settings)
- Brightness control (make sure you toggle off auto brightness for this to work)
- Transparent statusbar (might be removed next version if this affects performance)
Known bugs:
- Animation bug on statusbar fling/minimize

Its not based off AOKP, it is AOKP. Only difference is some init.d scripts. This isnt going to work on anything but CM9.
Dear OP, this mod seems to break the "on screen order" i am unable to make the home button first or control them. is there a fix for this?
Some of us don't read so good!
Hey OP, can you put explicitly in the first post that this will not work with anything but CM9?
I didn't read it carefully enough (yes my fault), and I flashed it and it broke everything of course.
Related query: Is there a way to get that CM pulldown toggle on stock ROM? I really miss it from my Galaxy S.

Hi everyone,
Instead of creatin a new thread I decided to use this since it is the same stuff.
The point is, I'm feeling in the last days that my home button it's not responding that well and I'm going to fix it replacing the module. But that's not going to happen soon so I'm a little afraid that it stops working for good.
Right now I'm using CM10, 21 August build from codeworkx, and I need to find a way to turn on the navigation buttons.
Can anyone teach me a way to do this please, or if someone think is easier, can you do it and provide it?
I'm pretty sure there's more people interest in this
Cheers
