Water droplet sound - lockscreen - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
does anyone know how to change the lock screen water droplet sound when unlocking. My wife thinks it sounds like someone peeing in the toilet

Haha, well just go into settings, sounds, and un-tick screen lock sound.

Haha my gf said the same thing. You can do as the orevious pister said and un tick to mute the sound.
Otherwise, maybe if you can find out what the sound file is called, you could reppace it with another by renaming the sound you want to match the default. Only a guess though

And also I just install GO Locker from the play store it won't change the default lock screen sound but it provides a customizable lock screen with the option to change sound and it also has almost all the unlocking menthods that are on the stock.

I can't find the file. I've tried changing all the system/media files but all it does is change the initial sound but not the tracking sound. I think it's in the systemui or framework

[Q] Lock screen sound gone in 4.0?

For the life of me, I can't seem to find how to activate the screen off sound. I have the crt anim from the update .368 and settings option for screen sound unlock is ticked. Screen unlock has sound but screen off/lock does not work. Anyone?

"Screen off and lock" works fine with me. I always use this app since the power botton a little hard to push.

Just a gentle reminder: Try to answer directly to the questions posted and not your suggestion to a different application or what you do when someone is having issue.

I use that in my x10 mini but still it does not work with the 4.0 update for arc. And I would like to limit installing apps just for simple things.
Prathaban
Actually I don't know what is stock anymore. Hahaha! Too much mod. I guess I got it from crt anim mod from apps and themes section.
The lock.ogg and unlock.ogg files are present in the /system/media/sounds/ui so i think it should be working as stock in 4.0?
I will answer my own question for the sake of the community.
SE somehow changed the default locked.ogg to a dummy sound, no sound actually. Then changed the framework in settings menu to show only unlock sound will be activated. I fixed it by replacing the default locked.ogg to a different one. You can use unlocked.ogg. Just back it up somewhere then rename to locked.ogg and replace. They are located in /system/media/sounds/ui
Sorry, I misunderstood the meaning 'screen off/lock'. Sorry again because English is not my native language.

[Q] No lock screen ink spill after reflash?

I apologize if a thread like this has already been started, but last night I managed to screw up my Note 2 by installing Chainfire 3D and softbircking it. No problem there, I managed to fix it by flashing the stock ROM and re-rooting from the files located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883823. Fast forward to today, I just noticed that when I tap the lock screen with my S Pen, There is no ink spill animation. I don't really have a problem with it not being there, but that feature was just so cool LOL. Any way to reenable it? I know it's not important, but that small, tiny feature was just so cool it irks me that it's not working.

Any chance you're running a live wallpaper? Ink spill is disabled with a live wallpaper. There is also a toggle in the lock screen section of settings.

Hmm, I'm not running a live wallpaper, and I don't see a toggle in the settings. I do see ripples though, just not with the ink. D:

Screen off Animation

Hey everyone,
So while the guy at the sprint store was activating my Optimus G I noticed awesome screen off animation. Now that its a couple days later and all my settings are set up, home screen ect. I noticed that the screen off animation is none existent, it just shuts off like a normal screen. I looked everywhere in the settings to see maybe if I disabled it but cant find it anywhere. Is there something I did by accident or am I missing something here?? Any advice would help.
Thanks for your time,
Tim

Its actually really simple go to the lock screen settings and select which screen effect you want.
Yep what he said ^ Under Lock screen/screen effects. Dewdrop is pretty badass. This is just another feature I love about LG's UI.

[Q] A few newbie questions.

Okay so I got my Note two and I've only just had today to have a play about with it.
I have a few questions if anyone (or more) can nudge me in the right direction.
Firstly is there an app that allows me more control over the track I'm playing? If I remember correctly but I could double click the volume button on my iPod Touch and skip forward or back depending on if it was volume up or down.
Is there anyway of changing the colours of the notification icons at the top of the screen or hiding them?
Is there anyway of setting the buddypage to an app. I like the music one but it always reverts to the stock player.
Last but not least it's the one that I find most annoying. I have a small tab light blue in colour which seems to come and go of it's own choosing. You can add different apps to it and move it to any side of the screen you want to. Is there any way of disabling it so it stops getting on my nerves?
Thanks in advance.

You might take a look at an alternate music player like PowerAmp. I recall it having options to use hardware buttons to control playback.

Not that I know of in the stock ROM. I can't say about other ROMS, I haven't tried them.

I think you're noticing the Multi-Window tab. You can either long-press the back button to hide the tab, or disable Multi-Window completely using the notification toggle.
Thanks for the speedy response mate.
Yeah that got rid of the annoying tab thanks very much.
Not sure what you mean by disabling it with the notification toggle.
But at least I know how to get rid of it when it pops up.
So thanks again. It was doing my head in.

LOL. You hate the one feature that everyone was dying to have.
Pull down your notification bar on the top of the screen.
You will see your toggle buttons up top for various settings, such as Wifi,GPS, bluetooth etc.
Slide that toggle panel all the way across. On the far right end you will see the toggle for Multi Window. Just click it and the setting is turned off.

If you download and use another launcher, such as Nova, you can have full screen. That will hide the notifications, battery and clock…and everything else that shows at the top of your screen.

I have the international Note II and this does not have a toggle for the multi-window menu bar in the notifications pull-down.
Good mention about Nova launcher. I use Apex launcher, and use two-finger swipe up to hide the notifications bar. I forgot that was in there.
Thanks for the answers guys it's very much appreciated.
I can confirm the back button works to get rid of the multiscreen.
A special thanks to mcphail for the pointers especially to Poweramp. What a hell of a player. I had given the note up as a decent music player. I thought also of replacing the earphones.
But the bass is great on poweramp. Fantastic program.

Disable home key vibration

Can the vibrate on touch be disabled for the home/back/recent keys?

Xposed with vibration tuner controls global vibration but if you set it to 0, then you'll have absolutely no vibration notifications.
I set it down to 10% and there's almost no vibration from the finger print scanner

that option do nothing on my moto z2 play
Could you pull the apk for us Moto Z2 Play users as e don't have that specific toggle to disable one button nav vibraton. Lame!
