im on rogers when i got my s3 i just opened drop box and selected i already have an account , sighned in and within 25 min my space was upsated.
There are a couple techniques listed here: http://www.cincygeek.com/2012/07/how-to-get-50-gb-dropbox-on-your-new-samsung-galaxy-s3/
You might lose your IMEI though, so flash at your own risk...

Same thing here, it was part of the process when first running the phone. However, you did have to do 5 different things to unlock the full 50gb, but it doesn't take much time.
As long as you're rooted, the instrcutions I sent you via PM will work.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO FLASH ANY ROMS to get it.
that's all I will say about it but please don't risk softbricking your phone to get this. it's way simpler than that but you'll have to search for the method yourself.
I got it on my Captivate

Is the 50GB lifetime or just for a year (limited). If it is lifetime i can see it being with the trouble to get.
Thanks
It's only for two years. That goes for any galaxy s3 on any network. AT&T didn't make the agreement with dropbox so no temporary 50 gb for us

Like a few folks above me have said, it's very easy to get the free storage space. All you need is root access, no special rom required. Fwiw, I did it on a Rogers rom.

It expires 7/15/2014, by which time 50GB or greater will be the basic free standard anyway.
Also, some people have reported that Dropbox took back the 50GB and reverted their account to the original 2GB (minus other referral bonuses, etc) after they got caught, so only cheat the system if you really need the extra space and have other backups.
(DropBox also caught on to the HTX OneX cheaters, and fixed that)
I accidentally "cheated" the system. I flashed a t-mobile rom when I got my SGS3 when it came out because thats all their was, and it was compatible. Turns out it had the dropbox.apk. I logged in and noticed it gave me 50GB free.
I still have it.
I've still got my space too.

Now I don't have the Skyrocket anymore, but have the SGSIII .. I still use Dropbox on a daily basis and all my space is still there.

then what, everything goes poof or you have to pay?
i've used Box in the past on my tablet. they give you several gigs of storage, but then they only allow you to upload a max file of like 90-100mb.. is there a limit with dropbox?

No limit to it as far as I know. Ive done files as big as 2gb at a time.
And for anyone on att/verizon who's lookin to get it Ive included an attachment. not my work but dont remember where i found it. will work on any phone. Unlink any accounts from dropbox prior to flashing. Worked back when I used it, Imagine it still does
Well I work for sprint and to get the 48gb you have to go to the website and do free space. you have to complete 5 out of 7 to get the 48gb then its only good for two year after the two years you still have the 50gb but can only upload and download up to 2gb . The 48gb will be there but can't do nothing with it . Its just free space .almost like dead weight . So as long as its not over 2gb you could download anything from that 48gb .. hope you understand .. for more info go to the website under q&a .. there's more answers .. have fun with the 50gb .

If you have a gmail account, it already does that, sorta. Photos will back up to G+/Picasa, apps are "backed up" with your play account, though their settings aren't. SMS won't get backed up. I usually just install titanium backup and have it do a full backup every friday night. That gets everything.
How do I go to the top of a webpage when I'm at the bottom of the page with a single touch/click?

Hi,
When you scroll down in Dolphin HD browser, you normally get an arrow pointing up on the bottom right of the screen. Touch it to go up to top.
Cheers!!
I cant do that in the default browser or chrome? Imagine scrolling all the way to the top from a multipage document!

People who purchase the new eligible Samsung Galaxy Camera and Galaxy Note II and complete the Dropbox get started guide (dropbox.com/gs) can get 50 GB free space for two years.

Try going to dropbox.com/gs in your device after installing Dropbox app and logging in. I am still waiting to receive my Note 2 and hence can't confirm this works.
does anyone know if the offer is stackable? got 50GB's from when i bought my S3, So i'm wondering if i'll get another 50 from the Note II
I'm in the same situation. They are not stackable.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
+1 I received it once for my Note 10.1 but nothing for Note II!!! Disappointing! I did pay money for both of them!
If you have already claimed the offer from a previous Samsung device and wonder why you don't or have double the space here is your answer.
If you log on to your desktop version and go to your settings then bonus space , you will see that you already claimed the Samsung promotion, the promotion isn't model specified, its pretty much the original "Samsung Promotion" you received covers all the Samsung devices you activate. Each user is only eligible for one Samsung Promotion of this type for a single account.
https://www.dropbox.com/help/338
If you did get the bonus promo on your previous device and your new device don't get comfy cause you wont keep it for long. Dropbox is good good/fast at claiming double offers back.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
So if I availed of the bonus space on my s3 and log in on my note 2 years later then it will give me another 50gb for 2 years again?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
No you won't. Blah I edited that part out. Everything is explained in the dropbox website link I attached regarding the Samsung Promo. After the promo expires unless they run a new promo of some sort you automatically will be downgraded according to their promo terms. I will be claiming my Note II bonus space on a different email account and will just use shared folders between my two dropbox accounts.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
As the AT&T doesn't come with Dropbox (I assume as AT&T want to promote their own locker service), is there a way to get the free 50Gb upgrade that other Note II owners get?
I signed into Dropbox this morning from my Note 2 & it surprisingly showed that I have 50gb this morning.
Borrow a buddies Galaxy Tab 2.

I flashed this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1984546
Then installed Dropbox from the playstore signed in, then uninstalled Dropbox and got the message that dropbox would be replaced by factory version. I then got an e-mail from Dropbox saying I got an extra 48gb storage.
Make sure you have the dropbox file...Like the one in the picture.
I was reading around a few places and I saw that Dropbox were offering 48GB extra with certain Samsung devices. I've looked at https://www.dropbox.com/help/297/en which tells all about it. I've had the phone for about 10 days, it came with the Dropbox app preinstalled which is required for the promo, as is carrier participation.
So my question is, is the Sprint S3 currently valid for this promo? Also I've read a few things that free space can be stacked. I've never had a Dropbox account before. What other ways are there of getting additional storage space?
Thanks
Well you should have the promo then. The only way to get additional 'free' dropbox space is that is people install dropbox on a PC [mobile doesn't count], from you link. You can get the link from the app / the website.
The 48gb is good for 2 years; when its up, you don't loose any files consumed within the 48gb, but you won't be able to add things more than you space minus the 48gb from the promo.
I signed up for dropbox and when I added the phone, it added 48g. It does say it wxpires at the end of 2013. Which would be 1 year. I also added 500m for a referral, 250m for taking the tour and doing a few things, and 3g for uploading 3g worth of pics and vids using the automatic camera upload.special going on now.... great program by the way! Anyone want my code so I get some more space? Lol
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
1. Install it on your Device
2. Take the tour
3. Install it on your Computer
4. Referral someone
5. Upload something( I think)
6. Make something public.
7. If you have an aditional computer install on it too.
48gb for 2 years and like 2.5 for finish the others steps.

Not sure, but I have a Galaxy Tab 2 coming from Best Buy on Tuesday so I hope so.
I'm going to try going to some corporate phone stores tomorrow and logging in to dropbox with their Samsung display phones to see if it works. Hopefully I'll remember to log out!!
Thanks for the directions everyone, I'm at 51GB now

I have had three gs3 from best buy because first two were lemons. And now my email, my wife's, and my yahoo now have 50+50+50. Lol, and she has a 4s by the way so it's nice since she can't memory expand.

I recently purchased my used GS3 and when I logged into my Dropbox, it gave me the 48GB also.
Update!
You guys were right.. 48g is for 2 years not 1 like I said up above. I must have read the date while all hopped up on coffee or something.
All the other bonuses are permanent except the 48g
I'm up to 54.13g lol
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I'm up to 76 because i used to have an evo 4g lte and it has a 24 or 25 gb promo. So when i got this phone, it did indeed stack them. Not that i would recommend this, but i know someone that just kept saying up virtual pcs and using fake email addresses to fake refer people and it worked every time. You can do it for an additional 16gb. But that means you have to do it 32 times.

Well I got my tablet today and linked the pre-installed Dropbox app with my account, but no extra GBs were given. I did however use a Galaxy Note 10.1 at Best Buy on Sunday to login to my account and it gave me 48GB, and that was only for a year. So now I'm at 99.88 GB. :victory:
I'm at 200gb and change right now from registering on gs3, 2 note 2s and a gt 2 10.1. So yes you get additional space for each device that's eligible for the promo.
