I know there are other threads regarding this but I have a couple of different issues pertaining to it.
First of all I've been keeping up with nightlies for a while with cyanogenmod. I skipped them for about a month and updated to a new one two nights ago. It wasn't the best and i flashed back to an earlier version so that my gmail would work again. The bad news is that it is now in a boot loop. I have tried to boot it into recover to no avail. Now I have it stuck in ODIN MODE and I'm to scared to touch it any further.
I've used ODIN before but now I use a Macbook, so that makes things a little more difficult.
Any help would be awesome, I know there is a way to pull this back from the depths but after two and a half hours of searching has just left me scratching my head, and I know you guys are all pros at this.
I apologize if I put this in the wrong thread. I have been a frequent visitor of this site but have never had to post anything, hopefully I didn't mess anything up.
Thanks for the help in advance, I really appreciate it.
you have no choice but to use odin and flash back to stock FM. If you get boot look again, boot into stock recovery and clear cache and factory reset. You should be fine, i,m not sure how stable mac odin is but on windows it worked every time to kick me out of boot loop

So, to start off, I had CM7.2 on my epic 4g touch. It was working great but than I dont know why, I decided to upgrade it to CM9 just to get ICS taste. But than I went to system and did full system wipe and thats where it all started. It restarted and got stuck at big android guy logo with some square rotating on his tummy. It was there for good 10 mins when I decided to restart. Didnt work and kept going back there. I went to CMW and tried reflashing it didnt work. I tried different roms and than got stuck in boot loop. Than I went to download mode and tried to flash stockcmw_EL26.tar.md5 and I got cmw 5.0 something running. I than tried do clean wipe and install different roms. it will either get stuck at erasing /data or will not install roms at all. So now three days later. I am still stuck with a bootloop phone with nothing able to install.... PLEASE HELP ME!!! Its driving me insane. Also, I do have it flashed to boost which I really dont wanna loose. I also have nandroid backups which I tried to restore but they all fail to restore /data and restores everything else but ultimately, it wont still get the phone outta bootloop.
Your bricked. When it didnt boot up right the first time you should have odin'd back to EL29, or whatever.
Your data partition is jacked and you will need a replacement.
You should have installed it exactly like the instructions said.
Also you could not find an answer in the other 100 bricked threads in here... You are not the only one with this issue. Take a moment and read the results of others which may of saved you from the Brickhouse. Sorry not trying to flame you just this stuff has been all over the forum for days and days.. Oh yea using Touch CWM tisk tisk tisk....
Playya out!

Hello,
I was recently attempting to flash the new Cyanogenmod 10 ROM to my phone and I've found myself in a bootloop (the logo just continuously circles). I actually know what error I made to cause this, but the problem is, I have no access to any recovery menus anymore. All I can access is download mode. I can still use Odin and connect to the phone, but other than that I'm at a loss for what to do. I have backups of everything, I just need to get the phone wiped and back to factory set and start over. Unfortunately, without a recovery menu I don't know what to do.
What should I do from here?
Solved it.
For anyone that has this issue in the future, I plugged into the computer and ran Odin and was able to have it install a stock ICS ROM and I just started over.
Good job with solving the issue on your own! :good:
Your issue and solution had been discussed on these forums already. As a tip for the next time you have an issue, make sure to use the search bar first. Cheers!
I'm not a noob, but not exactly a ROM flashing god either. I bought a used SIII and after trying a few ROMs decided to go back to stock for a bit and possibly sell it. I flashed the LEM firmware and it got stuck at the samsung "pulsing" logo, so I flashed the LK3 and got the same thing. So now I am kinda stuck in no man's land. It will boot and give me the swirling Samsung logo and then the AT&T dripping planet logo and then stops at the pulsing Samsung logo. For $h1ts and giggles, I tried flashing TWRP through Odin and of course that didn't help. Tried going through the toolkit and because I can't put the phone into developer mode, that doesn't work either. I'm assuming that even though I made some stupid mistakes here it should still be salvageable given that it is booting and being recognized by my PC. Am I SOL or can I make this thing work? Open to any suggestions and thoughts.
Thanks!
Boot into the stick recovery after Odin and do a factory reset, reboot then profit
Making the iPhone jealous one user at a time.
can you access Recovery Mode? if so, wipe data, cache and reboot.
I'm good now. I guess I just panicked a little. Need to be able to sell this one so I can buy a new toy soon. Not sure exactly what made it work (I flashed the recovery boot image from the toolkit) among all the things I tried, but I was eventually able to boot into recovery and wiped and reinstalled Quantum. Thanks for the fast replies.
Alrighty folks, it's time for me to give up and ask the community (probably what I should've done in the first place. lol)
This basically all started when I tried to update my GPE Rom to lollipop. I flashed it using TWRP from my external SD card. Then it wouldn't boot. Just kept showing the screen with the "google" logo and an unlocked padlock at the bottom.
Skip forward a day and some change and I managed to screw up the recovery. Same thing happens as when I tried to boot into the Rom. I'm now trying to get the stock RUU to work as I'd be happy with anything right about now. I keep getting an error 159. So, I committed the mortal sin, I didn't read enough and somehow, playing with fire, I got burnt.
Now I'm turning to you kind people to help me solve this issue and hopefully teach me a few things in the process
Just let me know what you need and I'll do my best to be not a dumb.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried reflashing your recovery? Also I had the same problem with being stuck at the splash screen for lollipop, it just takes a really long time to boot and doesn't show a boot logo.
MIght be minor for you but huge for me. I dont consider myself a noob, probably the step above, but Im in a little situation. So a coworker of mines is into rooting and roms like myself. He had a sm-n910p which was only rooted running stock rom. One day while changing batteries (which one was stock and the other from anker) it just went into a bootloop. When the phone powers on it says
RECOVERY BOOTING . . . .
Samsung
GALAXY NOTE 4
Powered by android
then shuts off and starts the bootloop. When I installed CWM or TWRP it goes away but I can never really enter into recovery mode with either stock or custom recovery, and also i notice in download mode with TWRP or CWM installed it say COULD NOT LOAD NORMAL BOOT or something like that in red above ODIN MODE. I have installed all the firmwares i could find like the ANIE, BOB, and COG ones which passes on odin but just continues bootloop. I've even thought about if it has something to do with partitions and do i need pit files or something. But im done looking everywhere for answers so im just trying to get my questions answered. Your two cents on the situation would be much appreciated THANKS GUYS!!!
