Ok firslt I want to apologize for opening a new thread so quickly after already having one open..
I've recently developed unilateral hearing loss so I can only hear out of one ear but the majority of my songs switch over between the headphones and its quite frustrating... Is there any way I can change this?

That's good but I think I'm going to search around if I can change anything on the device before I buy those.

I looked just about everywhere, but couldn't find anything.
While listening to music on my phone (flac and mp3, on phone not the cloud) I get skips and pops when I multitasking. Does anyone else have this problem? This doesn't happen all the time, but enough for me to put the question on here.
Nonrooted locked and stock (yes yes I will do it this next week.)

Phone speaker, wired, or Bluetooth?
I'm asking because I've seen an issue with music skipping over Bluetooth while the wifi was scanning.
I haven't noticed skips wired or through the speaker, however.

While using Google Music, streaming, I get skips and pops on longer songs (Hour long mixes).
This is on cell data w/ headphone jack.
Issue goes away for a few seconds when you pause the track and press play again, only to return.
Wired.. Always resolves itself, but annoying.

Okay.. I replicated it if someone can check...
Open music and play. Then go into the browser, and select a bookmark. Does it nearly every time.

Start playing a song and hit the three dot settings tab in the upper left select sound effects and turn on the EQ. You can change the EQ to to the flat setting if you want the music to sound as it did before. This fixes a lot of the music player sound issues.

Actually it does. People have reported before that turning on the EQ stops the skipping/crashing problem.

If you have a clue than you would know that it does fixing skipping issues so keep your "not trying to be rude" comments to your self if you are unaware of a fix.

Hi,
I'm currently using ARHD21 rom. I've noticed that the recording volume using my Bluetooth headset is very low.
I'm using BTmono app to route the Mic so it will record from Bluetooth headset.
I've tried with Jabra Supreme, Jabra Sports, i-tech voice clip 609s, and Samsung's Bluetooth. Using with apps like Voxer, Palringo, WeChat and the free voice recorder.
All resulted in volume at least 40% lower then other android phone. Tried all the same headset, on Samsung S3 and a Samsung knock off android phone.
Recording from phones built in Mic and wired headset is ok though..
Need help, I'm literally shouting to get my voice heard when using Palringo with my friends. Out of 52 online I'm always the one with the lowest volume.

Oh btw, I tried using the old ARHD ICS rom, same results. Have not tried switching to stock.
I'm the only guy in my group using htc phone, so could not compare.
Only PTT app I use that yielded same volume level is Zello but had to set the recording amplifier within the app to max.
Even iPhone users on Bluetooth had louder volume.

You ask a ROM specific issue by opening a whole new topic in Q&A??
and by the way... Recording has always been average to me via bluetooth...

Not really ROM specific, just stated ROM I'm using.. Think it's one x specific
I doubt it has anything to do with the ROM

When I plug my headphone in, audio is not being routed through it; it just plays through the phone's speaker. I've tried loading up backups where the audio was working to no avail; I think this is a hardware issue but wanted to make sure. Anyone else expeirence this?
Never had the issue, Odin to stock to make sure, or try different headphone.,then if the issue persists then it's hardware

Tried that first thing, but no luck. Running stock rom as well
Interesting. When I use soundabout, I can manually force audio to be played through the headphone, and it works. Removing the headphones results in no audio unless I change the setting in soundabout.

Sometimes, there can be something stuck inside the headphone jack. Does your headphone go in all the way? You might want to to clean the contacts for the input.

It goes in all the way. Sometimes, applying a lot of pressure will cause the headphone to be recognized, but relieving the pressure makes it revert, making me think it is a hardware issue.
When I was a" tech" at verizon. We would put in/ pull out the headphone jack repeatedly(quickly) reboot. Majority of the time it worked. Hope that helps

Sounds like a hardware issue. Wouldn't hurt to buy a new headphone port. Parts for the N2 are fairly cheap and easy to replace

True, but it is the installation I am worried about. I DO have a warranty on it...
It looks like it works if I lay the phone flat and jiggle the cord a bit. I may be able to live with that.

If you have warranty, I'd most definitely get it fixed. I use my headphones almost daily so I would have gotten in fixed in a heartbeat
Have you tried cleaning your contacts? (The metal 'prongs' inside if the headphone jack.)

Tried with five different headsets already.
I took a toothpick and a wire tie to clean it out. No dirt emerged. What else would you recommend to clean the prongs?
OK so i asked this question a while ago but never got a reply, i permanently lost my hearing on my right ear just under a year ago and I just want to know how do I stop songs only playing through one earphone at one time? Thanks.

So you just want the left side to work? If so then any app equalizer or on cm10 they have dps that might help you
Or just get a knife and cut the other headphone off
Sent from my HTC ONE using XDA Premium HD app
do you want to change the headphones from stereo to mono to stop music from fading left and right? (Thus missing part of the music.)
A non android solution would be to get headphones that have a stereo/mono button/slider.

Nope, some people have tried using a TRSS adapter in the past to no avail.
Get an iPhone and keep telling yourself it's an HTC One?
But he's correct there is no way to get them to work. Why not just use the ear buds that came with the One? I've found them to be quite good. Someone in another post a while back said they were unbranded beats earbuds. Idk if that's a fact or not. Judging from the sound quality I wouldn't be too surprised.
As far as I can tell, there aren't any headphones that have a working in line button set with the One. With the stock "Beats," the only function that works is the single click for pause/resume. Double clicking which usually skips to the next song simply dials the last person called on your phone. Very frustrating. Not even any third party button control apps seem to work.

I've being doing some reasrch on this myself over the last could pe of days. What you need is a TRRS IPhone to Nokia adapter.
This "should" make any Iphone headset turn into a single button Android compatible headset. Not that I've not tried it but the chances are that it will work. The fault here is that apple made a standard for themselves as is there way.
