No luck so far. I tried moving the apk to system>app and lib to system>lib still no luck.
Anyone try this?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I got it to work. I placed the apk file in the app section and the lib file in the lib section. I fixed the permissions for the apk file to rw-r-r. Make sure to either delete the original samsung ime.apk and the accompanying odex file (or rename them to .bak) file then reboot.

I'll typically just put the APK on my SD card... (Go to setttings turn on unknown sources) Then just click APK, and will give option to install it. (i do this with a few that i have stored.
Use root explorer to copy/ paste the apk into system/app...You will have to make the folder r/w using root explorer before you paste the app. Reboot...typically this works as long as the app is compatible with the phone.

Though i prefer using es file explorer [free] > navigate to your storage [internal/external], then locate the apk > tap > install.
Just make sure 'unknown sources' in security is checked.
Hey Guys I wanted the S4 S-Voice App since I previously installed the version that Samsung eventually blocked, giving you a "no network connection" error. This S4 S-Voice .apk is straight from the system drawer of my friends GS4 and works flawlessly on my Note 2. I just installed over my old S-Voice but you may need to push it to your system and change permissions if that doesn't work. Enjoy!! http://db.tt/lroXNmf2

You got it
What do you push it and change permissions
Sent from my SPH-L900 using JellyBombed Tapatalk 2
Push it basically means to copy it to your system/app partition. You have to be rooted to do that. Sometimes preinstalled apps are already in your system so in order to replace the apps you have to replace the files in the same place and then give the the proper permission to run as a system app.

if pushed into system/data/app, the stock S-voice apk has to be removed first?
I'm getting an error if I just try to install it..."PARSING ERROR" there is a problem parsing the package...I'm on rooted MC2 deodex rom

The directory is system/app not system/data/app and you don't always have to push it there. You should first look in system app to see if its there if it is delete it if your ROM is odexed delete that and the odex file beneath it and then reboot. Then use a file explorer to install it straight up, S-Voice doesn't have to be system it can be user only. If you continue to get a parsing error download it again. Let me know how it works out

I'm sorry guys. My girlfriend didn't back anything up and used a app called root app delete to delete her stock internet browser. She is rooted on 4.1.2 stock Rom. She doesn't want any 3rd party apps and I can't figure out why not save me the hassle and deal with chrome.
Anything would be great. Tried searching for a apk..
i think he wants the stock browser apk

this is right from the stock rom out of system/app folder

Are you odexed or deodexed? Because if you try to use the deodexed file on an odexed rom, you will get issues.
Permissions should be set to 644 or rw-r--r--.
