Extra "Fun Frames" on my HTC S620

Does anybody know how you can add more frames to Camera on the HTC S620. Ive just come back from holiday and when I was using the Camera for a few "fun pix" I was greatly dissapointed in the lack of choice... basicaly it only had four week frames to choose from. So as soon as I got back I went about getting some more frames for my phone.... which I found, but my phone cant find them. Ive already tried adding a "Frames" folder to "My Documents" both on my phone and the storage card but yet the phone doesnt recognise any of the frames. Anybody else have this problem or even better can anyone else give me instruction on how to get it to work?
if anybody wants to know the Camera Software im using is the Camera for Smartphones version 4.52 that came pre installed with the phone as I dont want to be having more than one installed.

Just out of curiosity, what's a fun frame?
I knew the camera software on the Dash could do "effects" like sepia or negative. Never heard of the above.

I am in the same boat, what exactly is a "fun" frame just wondering?

oh, I assumed all the HTC S620's had all the same basic software I wasnt aware that Frames wernt available on all models.
What I mean by fun frames is like Magazine Covers which you select and take a picture with the frame on top of it.
The four that come with the BT ToGo version which I have is one which has two magazine covers on (you take two pictures and they get put into the frame), a cartoony spikey frame, one which looks like a notice board with two pictures on and finally a folding frame that holds three pictures...
the problem is that they are too specific like the memo on the notice board say "I love you" on one and "happy birthday" on the other... and the three way folding frame has love hearts on so it isnt like you can use them on any occasion.
...Picture Themes, thats what they are!!! Mabey I would have got more response if I posted under that.

Yea this is a ROM specific function. I remember having this on my T-Mobile SDA. You could have images pre drawn on the screen with a spot in the middle of the screen so yo could take a picture and use the template around the picture. For example: i had one that was a template of bubbles, snorkle and face mask, and if you got the picture aligned properly you could make it look liit the person you wrre taking a pic of was wearing the snorkel and mask and look like they were underwater. Kinda cool effect. I never noticed this feature on the DASH though.
edit: i just found the templates on WM 6.1 , but the four that are preloaded are pretty lame.

Aaaaahhhhh, never mind Ive found out how you do it...
the trouble was BT never provided me with a manual with the phone, its all done online in PDF format now. But after trawling through the PDF I eventually found out how to add extra frames -
Template Folder (Picture Theme only). By default, templates are
stored in the \My Documents\Templates folder on the device’s Main
Memory. If you transferred some templates to a storage card (via File
Explorer), set this option to Main + Card to specify that templates are
located in both the main memory and the storage card.

so thats where I was going wrong, I had read somewhere that the folder had to be called Frames... when that didnt work I renamed it Template when all along it should have been Templates.

Uh, I know it's not rocket science, but my upload keeps failing, I was trying to upload a few templates that I have for the DASH, Excalibur, etc.

Yeah I have found one or two good ones, I will try and post them sometime today
A couple of Wako Jacko's from BoSelecta (one just does the face while the other takes the face and background)
a Shrek and Fiona and a Wanted poster for now...
I think the frames from Sony Ericson phones should work (320x240) so im going to see if I can find them on my girlfriends phone and copy them onto my excalibur. The Sony Erricsons have some great fun frames and to be honest a really good camera built into their phones.

Does the frame need a special neme or extension?.
In Which folder need to be placed?

::Touch HD Wallpaper Thread::

Due to the fact its hard to find quality VGA and WVGA wallpaper on the internet. I really would like to see a Touch HD wallpaper thread here. Hopefully we will get a themes and apps subsection soon for the HD. I would like to contribute the wallpapers I have collected so far since I got my Touch HD a few days ago.
Some are 480x800 and some are 480x640. All look good quality wise on the HD's screen.
I appreciate everyone's contribution to this thread with your own wallpapers.

[Q] MORE Screenshot Issues

Ok, I've FINALLY figured out how to take screenshots with my E4GT. One problem: originally when I saved the screenshot, it was in .jpg format & I could upload my pics. NOW, they are in .png format & am having trouble uploading my photos to the forum! Am I doing sumthing wrong or did my phone change formats on me?!?

Hello there folks,
I just noticed this awesome boot animation which the guys over at Android Police featured in an article.
Here is the original link to the Reddit thread from where it was sourced.
Please note that it needs to be edited for our screen resolution and compressed heavily.
To use on a different size, try editing the desc.txt file inside.. ONLY the first line: 480 800 10 to <w> <h> 10. Rezip with compression level 'store'.

I am no whiz at this kind of stuff so I will leave it up to someone who can actually resize it for our phones, mainly because the zip file is 12 fricking mb's in size!!!.

Use this thread to share with all any animations you have made.You can select any subject matter (subject to XDA's rules).
The following is not a deal breaker but it would be nice if you could submit anims which are recovery flashable and if you attach an animated GIF everyone can see what they are getting.
I'll kick it off with one I built, it's flashable in recovery.

Ok I'll give you another one ..... This is also a recovery flashable zip ..... click on the GIF to see the action ..... anim plays slightly slower than the GIF.

For any Marvel Fans ..... flashable in recovery ..... tap the GIF to see it - the white bars at top and bottom of the GIF are not in the animation.

so... back to your CIA boot animation, there I saw "Authorising User ..... Authorised!"
Thing is authorize is the standard spelling in American and Canadian English. Authorise is standard in all main varieties of English outside North America.
Do you have any idea where CIA is located?? it's in US !!
That is why I suggest you to use "authorize" instead of "authorise" to make your sorry ass boot animations looks more like CIA..

You sir need to STFU, if you don't like what you see in this thread no one asked you to come in here and you can get the hell out, that was uncalled for and by no means should have been said to someone that is trying to better our phones, take your sorry ass comments somewhere else, and trust me "MR SPELLING EXPERT" you can look through this entire message and won't find one spelling error, be more respectful to people that are trying to help better our phones or this won't be the last you hear from me...

About 2 years ago I and my very good friend @JaeKar99 were collaborating on bootanimations for the A500 Tab which we both owned. He ported across this "Tron" anim from a friends phone and we ported it to the A500. It's always been a favorite of mine so I thought I would port it to the Motor G. Hope someone will like it.

I was forced to edit the video somewhat in order to make the animation - the reason for that being that the mp4 file was 13 Mbs which worked out at almost 900 frames which when trying to keep the definition high resulted in a horrendously huge animation. I see that your device is an XT1033, my phone is the US retail XT1034 - the animation works on mine but I cannot guarantee that it will work for you.
The anim is flashable in recovery ..... I didn't make a GIF as you have the video , so you know what it looks like

Here's another one ..... as before it's flashable in recovery ..... The anim runs slightly faster than the GIF and there is a small difference between the gif and the anim due to the fact that making an animated gif when there is more than one part is a problem. The ball runs until it boots.

This one is for @fsith who was unable to post his GIF here so PM'd me.
As usual it is flashable in recovery ..... No GIF attached, @fsith already knows what it looks like.

This one was originally created by my friend @JaeKar99 when we were creating for the A500. I think it's a nice animation so I have tweaked it a little and adapted it for the Moto G. Usual stuff ..... it is flashable in recovery ..... the GIF shows what it's like.
