Woke up to my rooted glide telling me its trying to connect to dm server for update.. I attached a screengrab of what my current firmware is. Anyone else getting this?
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda premium
Download the update and let us know. It's not like you can't Odin back.
All it says is "connecting to server". Can't seem to be able to download it.
Sent from my SGH-I927 using xda premium
I can't see your screenshot but did you not update to the official UCLJ3?
He did update to official ics.
Sent from my SGH-i927 using xda app-developers app
Any luck with the update?
Sent from my SGH-i927 using xda app-developers app
Nope. It still says its trying to connect..
The ota update symbol in my notification bar is an annoyance, but that's all

Try rebooting and trying again.
Sent from my SGH-i927 using xda app-developers app
i am running stock, and there is no ota update... are you on ATT?
Its only a maintenance update. Its still UCLJ3.

GPS works fine on ICS stock, you just need a good gps.conf file.
Update: update ota notification has gone away. Still never downloaded update. Don't know what it updates.
Gps on stock ics is buggy. There is post after post with stock or other roms having gps issues. And everyone seems to have there own fix.
But it would be nice to either have a simple universal fix, either from samsung, or from a dev or something that is a flashable zip file

If you are really pissed about it, back up your apps and factory reset.

I'm assuming this is the update for 2.3.6 and wifi calling?
I got the same OTA notification, running Juggernaut 3.7
Did you guys install the update? Or just get a notification?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
I don't mind updating via OTA (I'm on BeastMod now), but what I don't want to do its lose root and have to restore all the data manually.

It was a notification for the update with an option to install or postpone; I'm going to postpone mine as long as I can....not sure what that update will do being that I'm rooted and on Juggernaut.
I'm sure one of the dev teams will take the OTA and roll it into a ROM so we can get the update and keep everything that we're used to.
I'm still on stock and yet to get update. sucks!
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
I got the update notification too and I'm also running Juggernaut 3.7.
I'm using the EagleBlood ROM and I received the update notification today. I'm postponing it as long as I can, but is there a way to just reject the update? It's annoying seeing the icon in my notification bar.
Can any of you just pull the link please? It would be a great help to many people. Everyone keeps posting about it and that is not helping anyone.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
The update is already rooted and posted. Along with the new basebands.

Yes but not all of us want to use Odin. I am very much aware of its presence in the development section. However, i can assure you that i am not alone in wanting the link/zip.

Link for what? I'm not following you. Are you wanting the actual ota zip? If so, someone who has been notified of the update can use root explorer and go to /data/cache and grab the zip.

I guess someone else tried running this update and it just took them to CMW and didn't give them the update. I just froze "device manager" from TB so i don't have those annoying update arrows. I will wait for the new juggernaut when they update it. I'm in no rush
So even five mins or so I get a Google gapps error.

Sorry if its posted anywhere but I couldn't find it. I can't get Sprint TV to load in my E4GT. I haven't used it in awhile but football season is here.
I DL from the market, open the apk to install. When I open the app, I get a screen telling me to update. Umm, wouldn't the market have the latest edition? Anyway I hit the upgrade button, then a blank screen and the a FC. Anyone else having that problem?
I am rooted, updated profile and PRL, then reboot and still same problem.

So wait. Do you actually have it working in a cm10 ROM? I has it actually open on a cm9 ROM but all of the channels said I needed a subscription. Basically I didn't have any free channels.

Old apk
Hey guys, I'm on re-calk 0.2.0 and had the same upgrade message. I had a copy of an old apk for Sprint TV that I had to use to update the version when I was on GB Calk 2.9.1. I installed it this afternoon and it started right up for me with out the subscription information. Thought I would share in case it might work for you too.

Interesting. It's worth a shot OP. Worst case, it fails and you uninstall. If it is successful, you can install mobile odin, then get the latest gb27 tar, and money. While you're at it, you will have to flash a cwm custom jb kernel, since you're on ics, and, MO won't flash modems, you'll need a jb modem to use data on gb27. Download the zip though of the modem . Good luck, let us know how it goes.
