Do cases interfere with NFC? - Galaxy S III Accessories

If they can, what are some good cases that don't interfere?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2

don't get full metal cases. or battery backing. for the most part it'll kill NFC or severely impair it.
plastic, silicone, etc should be ok.

I have the Griffin Survivor which is one of the bigger cases, a combo of hard polycarbonate plastic and thick silicone rubber.
NFC work just fine. As said above the full metal cases / battery covers usually effect it.

plastic cases don't interfere with NFC.

I have the uag and the seidio surface and neither interfere with it.

No problems with any of my cases. Otter box type and plastic cases. Haven't used any metal ones though.

elago slim fit, breathe cases

These cases are more for fashion than anything else but they look great! Fitment is excellent for the cost. You can find a barrage of colors on eBay. Protection is low as you would expect. Both cases either come in matte or glossy depending on the color.

Where can I find them for $10? My searches on ebay, google, and amazon are all showing $24.99 pricing.
Thanks in advance!

there is a 8.99 version with screen protector and a $24.99 with a premium screen protector.

those won't protect top and bottom of phone. I have similar case. Pretty but useless.
I know the Breathe cases don't have any lip whatsoever on the front of the phone (so laying the phone screen-side down is risky), but what about the slim fit? Do they have a lip on the front or is it flush with the glass?

Tiny rubber bumper

Anyone know of a minimalistic silver / white / clear rubber bumper? I have a thicker back cover on and gonna mount a screen
protector soon so I would like to protect the sides from scratches without adding too much bulk. The bumpers I've found so far are
all thick and probably ment for taking a hit, I need one to protect only from scratches since I use a pouch.
Show me your bumper..
I've seen a few on ebay, but I don't know if they are tiny enough for ya.

Those look nice but are indeed too bulky. I'm thinking about just a thin rubber strip, if such a thing exists and will actually stay on the phone.
Duct tape..
Seriously though. Try full body skins. Just put on the pieces you want protected.

Review: CrazyOnDigital TRAVELER Protective Case for S III(picture heavy turn on WiFi)

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00805SEHI/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00
PROS: Right out of the box it slipped right onto my SGS3 like a glove. Smooth transition in and out of the holster and a safe amount of traction to reassure you it won't pop or slide out. Holster has a collapsible bar in the clip so you can turn it into a kickstand for both portrait and landscape. Holster's clip rotates 270 degrees so that everyone can be pleased. Volume rocker and power button are unobstructed with no resistance or interference from the case.
CONS: Case can be difficult to remove if you have a back protector(XOSKIN etc) or if you have a non-stock battery cover and if you face the phone screen outward to use the kickstand there is some resistance between the felt lining and the material the case is made of.
All in all after some breaking in I am confident I will be very happy with this case/holster combo, specially for the price!

Ballistic Style Case for Cheap!

Bought this one off of eBay for $4.25 shipped. They have numerous colors and they usually go for about what I paid at auction via bid, buy it now for a few more dollars. Search "dual layer hybrid case s3" and you'll find them. Figured I'd give everyone a heads up who like the ballistic style cases because for the price you can't go wrong.
Now to my review... Fits surprisingly well, conforms to the phone tight. Buttons all line up fine, only negative is I had to trim a small amount around the charge port in order to get the charger to fit as snug as stock. As far as protection it looks as if it will do very well. Thick bumpers to protect the edges and a plastic hard case to protect the sides & rear. This case also feels way lighter and makes the phone feel much smaller than my otterbox defender did. Pretty happy with the case for the cost! Anyways here's a few pics.

Nagebee vs Ringke onyx case.

I have both cases in hand.
Nagebee is really bulky! Twice the thickness of the Ringke. Nagebee has a super deep finger print hole, it's like sinking your finger into a deep well, very uncomfortable. The Nagebee is also slippery even though it has a texture on the outside edges. The case is basically garbage in my opinion.
I like the Ringke case for now, very slim but I will be on the look out for more cases to be released that have a bit more rubber and shock absorption to them.

There's actually another thread for cases(where I posted pics of both with the phone in them) but I'll add that I have both these cases as well. And today was my first full day using the ringke case and loved it. Best case I've ever used.
Yes the nagebee is bulky but it'll protect your phone in case of a fall or something and that's the point of it basically. Im going to use the nagebee during my work days and the other one on the weekends.

I have the nagebee too, but I haven't been able to take it apart to put the phone in it. Plus without a tempered glass I will stick to the defender.
