You're probably using a browser? Mine stays around 45° C but every device is nearly unique.

110C is the safety shutdown temp. 85-100C is the thermal throttle temp(stock is on the lower side, custom kernels set this temp higher). when you reach the thermal throttle, the cpu automatically gets lowered so that your device will cool down, no matter what cpu speed you are set at. id say you are well within the normal range.

Not oc'ed.. but thanks guys for the info

A suggestion, if I may. If you don't mind a bit of less responsiveness, conservative governor would be a good choice. It will ramp less on a stock configuration kernel, making it easier on the throttling.

Summer 25-45°c
Winter 20-35°c

In my bedroom, which is a quite tiny space,my device went up to 70°C while surfing the web,so relax,50°C is kind of OK )

Download CPU spy... and see if the phone is sleeping properly
Sent from my sprint galaxy nexus
It is. I only text in it. Most of the time its on deep sleep
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Probably have a wakelock issue. And underclocking that far can actually cost you more battery because your phone stays awake so long completing tasks rather than sleeping.
Also, battery saver apps suck.
My friend told me that so i went to 1.5

Is Galaxy S3 is reporting wrong temperature ?

Hi, I have the At&t Galaxy s3 not rooted. It gets very hot that its uncomfortable to use. But when I check the temperature it shows normal from 98°F to 103°. Is it possible that the phone doesn't sense the real temperature?

no I didn´t do any thing
Yes that's normal...I believe the gpu or cpu is located on the top side of the phone and that's why your screen heats up.

How can you be so stupid? Of course it's going to get hot. That's the place where Exynos 4 quad core beast is!

Does your S4 get hot?

I have noticed that my S4 tends to get a bit hot around the top right side and by the camera. Is there and way to prevent this?

ohh well dont worry about it if during the day your phone last at least 10 hours of overall use then dont worry ...but if the battery drains quickly then it might be the ROM, or your battery or multiples widgets are running all day
Your phone should not get very hot (if at all) while charging.
Two main reasons this will occur
1. Wrong voltage on AC charger (if you're not using stock)
2. Rom/Kernel issues
I've definitely experienced my phone getting hot when streaming HD video or playing cpu/gpu intensive games for a while.
My phone takes forever to charge but man it last long time too....

That is perfectly normal. Thats where the processor is situated. It is normal for the CPU to reach temps of around 70 degrees under heavy usage. As long as the phone isnt shutting itself off because of overheating you are fine!
These phones tend to get hot at times, if it is hot all the time then you have an issie.
