Hello everyone, i wanted to ask one question. Gio has lights on the main keys (back, menu buttons) i wanted to ask if its possible to change they're color. Thanks

Nope, its just a simple backlight that Samsung used, no color leds or anything
All we can do is turn then on/off
Well sad, i wanted to change they're color. Anyway thanks for the info

Maybe you can paint it with marker pen. It might work.
Well thats an idea if i would do it i should atleast make it so that the black front doesnt look like it would have some paint droped on

I was wondering if there was a way to make the bottom keys (search, home back and menu) to light up when receiving a text? I've seen this in past roms for the g2x was wondering if it was done for gs2. Any feedback would help thanks!
There's an app called BLN... you'll need a supporting kernel to be able to use it.

You can try noled from the market. I use that app and its awesome

Thanks! BLN seemed to be what I was looking for. Sometimes it stops working and I have to turn my phone off and on. Anyone know a way to stop this problem?
Is there a way to just make one of the soft buttons light up for notifications?

Tried that but that just turns the blue led off. I want the led but don't want the screen to light up.

Try Settings/Blocking Mode/Notifications Off
Quick Q about the LED... is it able to change colors like Motorola ones? Or is it always blue?

How is light flow with battery, I remember hearing bad things about it
Light flow doesnt really work for mine though. ..
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
wow, lightflow is pretty sweet. I still uninstalled it though cause i like the defaults just fine. I didn't realize we had all those colors to choose from though.
Unfortunately, that poor LED on the GS3 has some trouble with some colors. Green with a yellow dot in the middle, anyone?
I just turn off LED notifications, Seems a waste of battery if it is always in my pocket and I cannot see the LED's.
I was able to customize my led notifications with slimbean rom

LEDs use pretty minimal amounts of power... i dont think it makes any relevant difference in battery life
Thanks for the info!

i think those buttons are specific to the device
since our device already has something inbuilt below the screen it might look odd adding those sort of buttons
Take a look here.
You need to decompile framework-res.apk and change "config_showNavigationBar" to TRUE
It works but it messes with the dialer, it covers up the buttons so you can't press them.

Why would you want to do that on SIII Mini? It's not a Nexus phone without hard and led bottom buttons. You have those 3 buttons already and you don't need that at all. Rather take care of eliminating the status bar in apps you don't need it - it would give you more space instead of cluttering and diminishing it by implementing soft buttons.
Benz or anyone else can made it for us ? So you upload the modded framework.apk ?
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda app-developers app
Try this one: framework-res.apk
NOTE! I did not tested it so make backup before test.
Based on framework-res from d3Mod ROM.
As Benz said, there should be problems with buttons covering.
I just like to use them we humen requests never end lolif it was there i would look for how to delete

Try looking @ my posts a I posted how to do that

AFAIK this is a feature of CM. It can be enabled on devices using checkbox in settings menu.

U need that if your buttons are broken

Is is possible to get softkeys (like the nexus 4) and the status bar at the bottom of the screen? I'm running stock ZVB odex. If this is possible, can some one do this?
I'm surprised we didn't have a flashable zip for zvb. Got one for zv9 and cm10.1 already in the forums.

Edit: forgot to say that this ^ is what your looking for.
You can turn the capacitive lights off under display settings.

Thanks. That is good but I meant the status bar and soft keys at the bottom of the screen. Also is it possible to get the menu button soft key?

Are you taking about the tablet layout? I don't think that's possible on stock.
Sorry if that didn't answer your question

I do mean tablet layout. I was wondering what that called. If it isn't possible for stock, is it possible for ASAP?
Paranoid android is what you are looking for. Haven't seen it ported to the OG yet.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Once we get a full working CM/AOSP, ParanoidAndroid will be easy to port and then you can has tablet mode.
I saw this in the play store, the Ubuntu live wallpaper https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.kivano.ubuntulwp
Is this what you are looking for? I think it looks great and would love it myself. The layout not the live wallpaper
Edit: removed and inline pic and spelling
