Yes. But only via paid method.
And I would recommend flashing generic firmware first.

Always is risk brick your device.
A lot people already unlocked their bootloaders without any problems.
If you don't know what you are doing, then don't do it!!

Your DRM will be permanently deleted, and will cause malfunctioning of music like, trackid, Ota.

Depends on how you unlock it.
Correct, unlocking at se website will lose DRM functions and unlocking with setool will keep these
believe me you can get more from your arc when its bootloader is unlocked! i didnt find any risk or disadvantage!
The little things you lose by deleting DRM and unlocking the bootloader a really worth it!
Kernels, recovery, my Arc is better than I expected it to be now

But like what would be the side effects? Since I listen to music a lot on my arc. Also how would I do the unlock via setool?

SeTool
Jinx13
Side effects are that these things are not working anymore:
Like button in stock music app, Track ID, SEUS and you don't get that much information displayed in contacts for conacts linked to Facebook, just the birthday and not all the other stuff which isn't that bad to me. Still syncs the calendar with their b-days and displays all the rest like lockscreen notifications etc

I held off a while but eventually took the plunge, the advantages have so far definitely outweighed the negatives. I didn't find myself using the app's that you lose (in fact I found the facebook integration very intrusive/annoying) so it was a no-brainer for me and having a custom kernel has made it into the phone it should have been from the factory..

Yes youll lose your drm and waranty forever no chance recovering it
Probably some service centre check it some didn't: D
My friend has an Xperia mini Pro unlocked bootloader but when his phone broke because he overvoltage it too much. He got lucky the guy didn't check the bootloader status so it's still under warranty: p

Get insurance through the bank account then should anything really bad happen (mega brick) then throw it on the floor and claim for a new one!

Just a note about the warranty. Unlocking your bootloader will NOT void your warranty. Yes Sony will know if you unlock and you will lose drm keys. Sony will still honor warranty for bad parts and workmanship. However if it's unlocked they will be more picky about claims. Say your phone unlocked with custom kernel and have overclocked. If you cook the cpu by running to hot, that is your fault and Sony won't cover. But say you get some yellow tint (like XS got) in screen Sony will repair.

From the Sony developer website for unlocking bootloader
Technically Sony says this...
Notice the MAY void warranty. Not WILL or AUTOMATICALLY or ABSOLUTELY voids warranty.

I know I shouldn't do that but apparently is the only way it can be unlocked or if you know how can I unlock it without downgrade, I'll be more than willing to follow you.
Unlocked what? Sim unlock? Search xda for Galaxsim unlock. Needs root but safer than downgrade.

Yes, Sim unlock. My phone is already rooted and this is the only thread that apparently works but is not compatible with S3 T999 so, any ideas?
Wait? You don't even have a gt-i9300?
You're in the wrong forum then and nothing i've said is relevant.
