Hi guys
I have a question. I'm quite new to one X modding. I have unlocked bootloader in my new hox, then I rooted the device. I'm still using ICS because I don't have possibility to upgrade it to jb - my cid is orangb10. I heard that on jb, kernel supports self powered otg mode. I'm looking for kernel like that for ICS. Could you tell me sth about it? Which should I use?
And second question is: if there no way to gain self powered otg I found the enternity project kernel which supports otg mode. Can I flash it on stock ROM? Or maybe you know better kernel?
Many thanks

Hi,
My htc one X arrived today, a little lost so i need some help:
Install a custom rom for 4.0.4 android or go to a 4.1.1 android official rom?
Thanks
Official is still 4.0.3, you can find roms with 4.0.4, i will prefer Arhd and.4.1 jelly bean you can go for cm10.

Hi! You should first go to htcdev.com and unlock the bootloader. You can see a tutorial in the development forums.
Good luck and enjoy your one X!
Just a warning unlocking the bootloader will void warranty.

I don't think there is a kernel for dual boot on HOX
I know of siyah kernel for SGS3 forums only.

im so desperate to try that cyanogenmod10 on my hox

I don't think there is a way to have a dual boot but when you root your phone you can make a back up of your current ROM (the stock one) before you flash your Cyanogenmod. There are lots of threads here that'll help with this.
So there was a way to save my stock rom but does it change something like not reciving updates from htc or any other thing i mean the side effects for saving the rom or it will just continue as it was ?

In order to root you will have to unlock your bootloader and flash a custom recovery. These stop your phone from getting automatic updates.

Thanks to all replyes im giving up ill stick with the stock rom ..

Hi all guys. I flashed Ice col jelly 4.2.1 and i have some questions.. Why there si no photosphere option in camera app ? Which 3.x kernel can I sue for it to use project butter and optimize battery life ?
Hi. I've heard that photosphere is not supported on our device (it makes the camera app FC) and that's why developers removed it from their rom.
For the kernel, I don't know, I might be interested if someone has an answer.
PS : maybe you should be more specific in the title of your thread
I tried Trip's one x+ kernel on ICJ421 when it first came out it was v002 if I remember right. I was able to boot but got reboot after a minute of use.
The stock kernel is the best at the moment.

Maybe I will try this kernrl to know if the developer fixed this bug! How to flash the kernel ?
Repack the boot, flash like normal: fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then flash modules in recovery.
And nandroid before flashing!

I am now on jb 4.1.1 stock ROM , I want to root the phone to use the game boost app , I will still use stock ROM , kernel and recovery .
What will happen if there is a new update let's say 4.1.2 , what will have to do to update , by the phone it self or by flashing the update package , I think after I update I will lost the root and will have to reroot ??
I have no idea how HTC devices work ( root process ) since I came for Samsung which were very simple , so answer if you know anything

Yo guys!
HTC wildfire here, rooted s-off 1.01 BUT without clockwork recovery. Which version is best for this phone (most recent?) and would i just flash it through fastboot?
Cheers
EDIT: Also if someone could recommend a nice stable ROM it'd be greatley apreciated
Most recent cwm is 6. Look in the development section. However the best mod I would suggest is cmw5 because it is more stable. The most stable room is either a sense rom or cm 7. It is your preference. Do you prefer gb or sense froyo.

cwm 4.0.1.4
rom: cm 7 nightly

Red Led on the phone keeps on even when unplugged from charger when the phone is off,you need to pull the battery to switch it back on.

A nice ics rom that you should try, aokp v5 light, miui v4 (2.5) and cm7.It change your wildfire interface.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app
aokp light has some bugs, but runs quite smooth, as for the cmw, 6 is the most stable.
there are a lot people who has issues when they are installing rom via cwm6. in wildfire's case, newer thing, is not always better thing. nowadays android gets more and more updated so also root stuff do and wildfire often can't handle those new things. personally i use cwm 3.0.2.8 since i have rooted my phone and i have no issues with it at all. even roms which have aroma.installer included work great
