Kindle Fire root with 10.2.4 - Kindle Fire 2 Q&A, Help and Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
I am looking for someone to help me root my kindle fire 2, 7inch, non-hd please.
I have searched for many threads and methods, and found the Qemu method and Root with Restore.
When I try to run root with restore it does not progress past *daemon started successfully*, and with Qemu it does not detect my device.
Could someone please HELP me with this, tell me how you did it step by step?
I am running windows 7 w. bootcamp on my iMac.

Thanks for this, I used Bookcase's method first then a couple of others. In the end I got there.
Should I request for this thread to be closed or is it automatic? Seeing as it's been inactive for 2 weeks and is really just one link of importance.

Its not automatic. If you want to keep things clean you can report yourself to request the thread be locked. I've done it to myself in the past

[Q] Fool Proof Tutorial for Rooting on XP?

I wanted to ask if there is a way to root the Kindle Fire without too much complication on XP. Even if I have to install a virtual PC, I'll do it. I just really want to put Android 4.0 on it but can't because I don't know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Kindle Fire Utility is pretty close.

The challenge you may face is getting the drivers to work on XP.
Good luck.

Re-Root Kindle Fire 6.31

Hi,
I'm having trouble with my Kindle Fire. It works perfectly fine, but I tried rooting it, and it was unsuccessful; I do not have any superuser privileges. I think the problem may be that I tried rooting my Kindle Fire using a program designed for 6.2.2., and It's running 6.31. I would like to re-root it so I can install Android SDK and get the coolest latest software, Google Play, etc.
I am running on Mac OS X Mountain Lion, so I don't know if that will make a huge difference in the rooting process.
If anyone can give me a simple step-by-step (1, 2, 3) guide for how I could re-root my kindle and URLs that would guide me through the process, I would really appreciate it! I have been trying to figure this out, but I've been really stumped.
Thank you,
Ari

Go into your system information and check to see if you have anything below system update 13.3.2.2 or 14.3.2.2 if you are below these root is possible. If you are rooted you can have a better working android interface versus if you are not rooted. But if you cant get root you can try side-loading some launchers in order to try to get them to work, but without root you will have problems with wallpaper, and widgets.
Hope that helped.

But to answer your question. Here are some instructions for rooting your device, make sure to follow them correctly. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069117
As for a android interface
Follow on from step 2 if you are rooted.

[Q] Kindle Fire HD 8.5.1 Root?

So I recently got this Kindle Fire HD 8.9' and wanted to root it for my parents. I'm having trouble finding a definitive guide to rooting it as I'm not that experienced in rooting. I've rooted my other devices, but only with the help of a video+text tutorial. I was wondering is there any good text guide I can follow to root this tablet? Thank you for any help.
P.S. I've seen the threads on how to root, am having trouble following them that's all

Verizon Note 4 still rootable?

Hello everyone,
I've tried for days now to root my Note 4.
I'm pretty much at my wits end and have scoured the internet for answers.
I've tried at least 10 different guides if not more.
The issue is that I can never get the initial temp root to work.
Kingroot and Oneclick root have tried multiple(like dozens) of times and they each eventually tell me that there is no solution or whatever for my device but that i can request it.
I've tried running the root apps on the device and from the pc.
Yes I used the eMMC checker and my code starts with 15
I've tried with the sd card in and out.
I was able to roll back to 5.1.1 which is where i have been trying.
Is there another version that is more easily rootable?
Have all the root exploits been patched or something?
Thank you for any help/insight in advance.
this tutorial did it for me
Hello everyone.
this is my first post here and i would like to share my experience with rooting..
i don't have privileges to include outside links yet so you are going to have to search...
user Bobby8451 has a youtube tutorial. (search the forum or youtube)
i tried probably a dozen times with other tutorials but they didn't do it for me. i ended up bricking the phone and having to use verizon's recovery to get to stock and start all over again.
above tutorial has all the files needed in one package and step by step instructions that are VERY detailed.
there is a part 2
once you are done with part 2, you should search for the latest modem and twrp and you should be set.
