Then try this this link! Personally I can't help you further because I have a locked bootloader so I don't know the steps of flashing kernels etc. If it doesn't work, search in the forums or google it or wait for someone who is familiar with unlocked bl-procedures!

See the first link in my sig and read it all, no such as kernel mode, I know what you mean but not sure where you get that terminology from.

If you can boot into fastboot (blue light on usb connection) you may have a chance to load cyanogenmod to fix the partitions etc and then you could revert to stock 2.3.4
tried that. but i got it fixed, i just needed to relock my bootloader with a custom .ftf file and then just unlocked and all the steps again. and its all fine now

You must NOT hold HOME button while connecting the phone to your computer.
You MUST HOLD "MENU" BUTTON while connecting the phone to your computer.
Try that
And,is your bootloader unlocked ??

For so far i know, you can't upgrade OTA or SEUS when you have a unlocked bootloader. It will brick your phone. Or am i wrong?
What happen if I do update my arc s with locked bootloader but several system apps modded(framework, sistemui, home, music...)???
It will brick my phone?

Normally, no. But I'm not a expert whit that things. All i know is that Sony Ericcson updates, Seus or Ota, can't be use when your bootloader is unlocked. I read somewhere that that Sony Ericsson will permit updates whit a unlocked bootloader, in the future.

[Q]About unlocking bootloader

I want to know if anyone here in the xperia play forum have unlocked bootloader, i want to know if i should use sony's way of unlocking it or if there's another way and what i want to know is, does clockworkmod unlock booltloader? and you need to unlock bootloader to flash custom roms?
what does clockwordmod do and what does rom manager do ?
i have more questions about bootloader but i cant remember at the moment so i'll add them as i remember
You can't
If Sony's way doesnt works for you and if you cant enter into fastboot mode (turn off device, conect usb cable while pressing search button and get a blue light on your led indicator) the only method is to pay someone to unock you.
I unlocked my bootloader with this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1584312
but the promo is over :/
aight well the promo for that is over i'm gonna try sony's way of unlocking it n see if there method work
but how will i know if it worked, if it got unlocked

blue light when you press the search key and plug in the usb but please read the instructions carefully
i still need the answer for this question:
"does clockworkmod unlock booltloader? and you need to unlock bootloader to flash custom roms?
what does clockwordmod do and what does rom manager do?"
Clockworkmod doesn't unlock bootloader, you can install clockworkmod with the bootloader closed, whit this you can flash custom ROM's but only the ones for locked bootloader support (original kernel)
Clockworkmod is a recovery menu, you can do semi-advanced user tasks like format partitions or backup all your operative sistem's nand (nandroid), you can flash zips for tweaks, firmwares and mods, clear/wipe caches , battery stats.. etc
PD: Did you get Blue light (on power button LED) when you connect your USB cable to you turned off phone while pressing search button?

If you need to install ClockworkMod I suggest CWM Auto Installer off the Play Store

i did this and i got the blue light but nothing else happens it jus shows on my pc something with found new hardware
Personally I'd use omnius. It keeps your drm keys.
Edit: if you already have fastboot (blue light, black screen, Android doesn't boot) then use the Sony method.

[Q] Flashmode problem

I am not able to put my xperia m in flashmode using the flashtool. I tried turning off phone and then holding volume down and inserting the USB cable but nothing happens, there is no led flashing when i do that. Also my phone is not charging while connected to pc when its turned off.
I have every driver installed and i am using the lastest version of flashtool.
Dude you need to hold Vol + button to enter in fastboot.
I have tried both volume up and vol down nothing happens.

Lets just analyze your problem:
You launched flashtool and started a flash session. And then a window appeared in flashtool saying that you have to connect your phone in flashmode. You pressed Volume+ and connected your phone.
I want to know what happened next,
Did the window telling you to connect the device in flashmode close down automatically?
Was a pop-pup shown in your pc telling you to choose your phone model?
If these didnt happen, what else did?
I can help you certainly if you can answer these questions.
How do i unbrick my phone? I can't take it to center because i have rooted and unlocked bootloader.

yep i unlocked it. More ideas?
Flash doomlords kernel via fastboot....then reboot to system....if it will not boot successfully then push a ROM zip by adb push and flash it....one more thing just check whether your phone is connecting to PC via fastboot or flashmode.
.
The best way to check is by flashtool...open flashtool software on PC and then connect your phone via fastboot/flashmode and see the status at PC flashtool....if its connecting then flash stock ftf and if not then 1st install drivers..

As far as I know, it is not possible to wipe partition from CWM (if You selected from one of the options from menu) which would lead to hard brick.
Let us start with basics. Can You tell Me which kernel You flashed to get CWM? Also, is there any vibration when You press and hold power button and volume up key together?

Huh, that kernel should have worked. I asked for the combination duration since many people make mistakes there. Since we are clear of that, did You try the rubber band trick from here? That trick sometimes takes more than a day to work.
Yep i did that and i tried many different ways to make it work.. no luck. i got annoyed and i sent it to the repairs today...
