[Q]Is there a mod to change the power button pop-up menu?

I couldn't find in the Themes section any mod for a Power Menu mod. I noticed on the LeeDroid ROM there were several more options. I'm most interested in having the Shutdown, Hibernate and Restart options. Could anyone point me into the right direction if there is such a mod?

this is the link for advanced power menu, i guess, the one you looking for. This one is for the ARHD 3.2. It will not work with other versions.
Which ROM are you using?

[Q] Advance power menu mod Q

Hi all
I've added this mod to my own stock but cooked latest euro release and very happy with it however whenever I restart the phone using it I get the ! HTC logo in the notifications bar saying the phone has recovered from an abnormal shut down.
Q - is there any fix to this at all??

try contacting developer, and sending him your logcat ... maybe he could help you ..

Ok thanks for that - sorry for the noob Q but how do I obtain a logcat for the reboot/restart sequence?

Have you used the file of mindhaxer?
Your rom needs to be deodexed.
Logcat via android sdk.

Yes it is from mindhaxer, and yes my ROM is fully deodexed in dsixda's kitchen.

does anybody know how to disable the screenshot function in Faux's kernel because when using sweep2wake to turn screen off swiping from right to left causes phone to take screenshots not all the time but sometimes & its starting to get very annoying
i have searched & tried all the suggestions through out XDA but have had no luck any help will be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

using a root file manger go to system\ and open the build.prop, search for something like #HTC screenshot feature, it should be set to "true", you have to write "false" and save the file. that's done

did you see that i already tried every solution on XDA
tried that already that line ain't even in my build.prop so i added it & it still didn't work

in that case i can't help you, ask in the kernel forum, the sweep2wake could have messed up that feature

i think i have fixed the issue all i did was disable screenshot in titanium backup

I had the same problem. Titanium Backup allows to uninstall Screenshot application that is included in firmware, and it solves the problem.

[Q] swipe to wake

Recently i've been reading a lot abt. s2w on DHD. I just wanna know how it works. I believe by s2w it means swipe your fingure from home button to search button to wake the device up. I've flashed the HD-Kernel T7 (sense kernel) but it doesnt seem to work or maybe i'm not doing it right. I edited the script as well & "tap to wake" stared working but its not what I needed. Any help would be nice :fingers-crossed:

I flashed that too but it didnt work as well. I mean is it like you just flash the Kernel & s2w starts working? Cuz if thts the case.. then it isnt working for me . What am I doing wrong here.. ??

Oh...u forgot to download kernel tuner from market my friend...
Download kernel tuner , go to misc option and at the bottom check s2w option..
Then its done...

Just be aware that activating S2W will result in a couple of things:
1. You will use more battery
2. If you restart your phone you usually need to reactivate S2W
I just use Sweep2Wake enabler/disabler from Google Play and it needs to reenable S2W after every restart not sure about kernel tuner.

Which touchcreen manufacturer do you have? Synaptics is known to have an issue with Sweep2Wake, you'll have to check which manufacturer you have (instructions are in the T7 thread I believe)

IT HAS BEEN REPLACED IN JELLY BEAN BY EXTENDED BATTERY MODE. .I.E. SUPER STAMINA MODE FROM XPERIA Z. A NICE QUADCORE DEVICE FROM SONY..
BATTERY HAS BEEN THE MOST CRITICAL ASPECT IN JELLY BEAN..AS PER THE JUICE, I HAD ALREADY LOVED THE APP FROM THE ICS.
AND I HADN'T FOUND ANY SIMILAR THREAD.IF IT STILL PERSISTS, THEN MODS KNOW WHAT TO DO. STILL THE CREDITS GOES TO XDA. FOR HELPING ME OUT ON THIS.
THE BEST WAY TO SAVE YOUR BATTERY IS TO USE THE STOCK POWER SAVER OFFICIAL APP BY THE COMPANY THAT'S WHY IT'S THERE FOR US IN THE DEVICE.
IT'S SIMPLE JUST FOLLOW A FEW STEPS AND VOILA :laugh:​
1. U HAVE TO BE ROOTED FOR THIS TO WORK. ROOTED USERS CAN SKIP TO STEP 2 DIRECTLY.
1..(A).FOR ROOTING YOUR DEVICE USE DOOMLORD'S ROOTING KIT FOR JELLY BEAN.
FOLLOW THE ON SCREEN INSTRUCTIONS..
ONCE YOU'RE ROOTED, THAT'S GREAT BELIEVE ME, THEN MOVE ON TO STEP 2.
2.. DOWNLOAD SEMC POWER SAVER.APK AND SETTINGS.APK FROM THE LINK BELOW IN THE ATTACHMENT.
3.. ONCE DOWNLOADED, INSTALL THE POWER SAVER APK, AND CHECK IN YOUR MENU FOR POWER SAVER IT
SHOULD BE THERE.
NOW YOU SHOULD HAVE TITANIUM BACKUP OR ANY OTHER APP LIKE IT. DOWNLOAD IT FROM THE
LINK BELOW IN THE ATTACHMENTS. WELL TITANIUM BACKUP IS BEST 1..
4..OPEN TITANIUM BACKUP CLICK ON BACKUP AND RESTORE SCROLL DOWN TO POWER SAVER APP AND MAKE A
LONG CLICK ON IT. AN OPTION MENU WILL BE OPENED FOR IT.
IN THE BOTTOM SELECT CONVERT TO SYSTEM APP, WAIT FOR THE

5..OPEN THE POWER SAVER APP AND USE IT.
ALSO YOU CAN PUSH IT TO SYSTEM/APP MANUALLY AND SET THE PERMISSIONS TO RW-R-R..
6..NOW REBOOT YOUR DEVICE TO MAKE SURE ALL THE PROCESS HAS GONE CORRECTLY.! !
WELL IT WILL.
7..AFTER REBOOT CHECK YOUR APP MENU FOR THE POWER SAVER APP. OPEN SETTINGS AND CHECK FOR
EXTENDED STANDBY MODE. THERE WILL BE A SPACE LEFT IN BETWEEN BATTERY OPTION AND EXTENDED
STANDBY MODE. NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THAT IT'S FIXED NOW...
8.. THAT'S IT YOU GOT YOUR POWER SAVER WITH EXTENDED STANDBY MODE I.E. MERGING OF POWER SAVER WITH STAMINA MODE ON JELLY BEAN.
9..THE MOST IMPORTANT ENJOY IT LIKE U DID IN ICS. IT REALLY WORKS MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN A LOT OF OTHER

IMP :- PLEASE COPY YOUR ORIGINAL SETTINGS.APK FROM SYSTEM/APP AND KEEP IT ON SD CARD AS A BACKUP BEFORE PROCEEDING.​
1. DOWNLOAD THE SETTINGS.ZIP FROM THE END OF POST (IT'S JUST THE STOCK SETTINGS FROM JELLY BEAN, PATCHED FOR THE FIX ONLY.)
EXTRACT SETTINGS.APK FROM IT.
2. USE ROOT EXPLORER OR ES FILE EXPLORER. MOUNT THE SYSTEM AS R/W (WRITABLE).
3 . PUSH THE SETTINGS.APK IN SYSTEM/MEDIA FIRST. CHANGE THE PERMISSIONS TO RW-R-R. ( JUST FOR THE SAFE SIDE.)
4. NOW MOVE IT TO SYSTEM/APP DIRECTORY.
5. NOW REBOOT THE DEVICE AND OPEN THE SETTINGS - POWER MANAGEMENT CATEGORY AND VOILA THERE'S
YOUR POWER SAVER OPTION. INSTEAD OF A BLANK BUT CLICKABLE OPTION.
AND ENJOY THE POWER SAVER PORT.. :angel: :good:

Yes you Can......It should work !!!!!....but move with correct permissions......read this
Once you move the apk to /system/app, remember to set the permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot. I'm not sure if this will change the oom value or not, but I think it does.............
Friend see this app, can move to system, is good, see the oficial thread in samdroid

So far so good..apart from some visual glitch (battery % bar) and the blank (but clickable) option under power management.

I should mention that this isn't exactly original because eXistenZ ROMs already have this. Secondly, you included a link to a paid app on it, which is against the rules of the forum

If I move manually : Good.
But I have the same bug like in ICS version : App don't "remember" what i choose. Ex : I've choose screen off after 15 secondes when my batterie is low (20 %), My phone has 12 % now and... no mod activated.

Ok i got it.......no need to worry.....
Just simply tell me exactly what steps you took. did the app worked a little bit or not.........what are the permissions you gave.......the procedure for converting...... and did you rebooted the device.......! ! ! ! !
open the Power Saver app again ......... and set low battery saver to eg.. if your battery level is 50 set it at 49. and wait for the app to work.....
and post me the screenshots pls... ......... :good:

Ok..here's a tip.
Please stop abusing the use of CAPSLOCK-ING, Bold-ing, Italic-ing, Underlining or Colorful font-ing unless you're trying to highlight points that are ABSOLUTELY necessary.
It hurts the viewers' eyes and it makes your posts look dirty and messy. You might turn off potential viewers of your posts.

Whole XDA (XS section) is full of similar advices.
Niaboc put power saver apk in his ROM after I suggest that.
That's not nothing new.
I even opened thread but, O.K,bthat was long time ago.

Just a little to me....
I just ported the app coz the viewers who wants to stick to their stock roms or dont wanna mess up could be helped out with battery draining
issues...As the Official stamina mode in JB didn't work so well...
For all so lets enjoy it.....
