1. Go to Apps menu
2. Tap “Settings”
3. In the “Device” section tap “Apps”
4. Press “Menu” button and tap “Reset app preferences”
5. A warning will be shown, tap “Reset apps”
What are you trying to do? :s

2. Scroll down and select Applications Manager.
3. Press menu and select Reset App Preferences.

I think what it meant is the app drawer not app menu.

You can also press and hold on the app you desire to update, then click update. That works too.
Does anyone know if there's a way to change the dock icons on TW4? I could've swore that I saw it in one of the review videos but can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

1) Click on the app drawer
2) Press the menu capacitive button
3) Press edit
4) Find the icon you want in your dock, press and hold as you drag it over the icon you wish to replace (in the dock).
5) Press the back capacitive button
You cannot change the app drawer icon but you can change the other 3.
Also to when you do that it will change your app sorting. To go back to alphabetically sorted hit menu in the app list and hit "view type"

Just starting using my New Epic 4G Touch .... Thank You !!! Now I can put the Handcent icon there ...
Hi..I installed xda premium app on my HOX..And i can't make a new topic cause i don't have menu button on the bottom of application.. Is there any update or something?
What button do you normally use to open in-app menus ?
It's weird that HTC just put in Back, Home, and Recent Apps (I use the "Menu" button all the time, why would they make that hard to find ?). Is there any way to configure those ? Do any of those buttons perform the function with a long press (my home button will do recent apps on long press) ?
Now i will show ya for example i use 24sata application..

I Googled it and found this : http://www.androidcentral.com/htcs-fix-menu-button-issue-welcome-not-very-elegant
You can set the "Recent Apps" button to function as a Menu button on long press or vice-versa.
Thank you!

You can uninstall Knox.
Press the "Knox" button, to actually log into homescreen launcher (if it don't happen automatically), press the "menu" touch button on your phone, press "Knox Settings", and then press "About Knox", and "Uninstall".
Hope it helps.

There is a check box in settings to check it off. Another technique is to use a app like Titanium Backup Pro to freeze it.

Here is the check box for Knox Location. Go to settings under General then Device Admins then first item listed, uncheck KNOX and see if it helps. Being a bit paranoid, sort of like crossing the street and hitting the crossing signal button, still waiting, still waiting. Just wonder if that checkoff box is more a distraction or pacifier then the real deal.

If you are on the home screen and click system settings, it brings you to a tabbed settings menu. But if you go to the app drawer and click settings, it takes you to one that is a little more similar to stock android settings menu. How can I do away with the tabbed version?
Just press the menu key while you are in settings and it will give you the option to switch to list view
