I'm not new to rooting phones but because I am new here, I cannot post in the developer forum (some 10 post rule). I've searched the forums, but I can't find the answer.
My problem is that I've installed tripndroids rom (4.2.1) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1784185. Installation went fine, but as soon as I open a conversation thread in whatsapp I get an error: "Unfortunately whatsapp has stopped". When I press report it say: "Unfortunately google play has stopped". It seems that not only I have this problem, but others aswell. Has anyone found an answer yet?
I'm running on hboot 1.36.
Sounds more like a problem with the ROM than Whatsapp.

that's what I thought, but I can't post in that thread yet, because I need at least 10 posts. I thought someone here might know the answer... Thanks anyways

Hi guys,
i previously wanted to post this in the developing threat but due to the 10 post rule I have to put it in here.
I experienced 3 really annoying bugs
1. When I change Volume with the hard keys I only see a wannabe loading circle which isn't even moving.
2. Most annoying... when I press home key to see last opened apps the phone reboots.
3. On WiFi internet connections gets interrupted many many times.
Oh before somebody asks : "yes I did a full wipe" and "yes I have the recommended radio"
Maybe someone can or will post this in developer threat or send it to the programmer, can't do that due to some strange reason either.

if you have less than 10 posts you are not able to post to development forum c.f http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=765
The OP is correct, users with a post count less than ten cannot post in the Dev section. Read the recent "state of the site address".
Reading through your problems, it seems that something has gone wrong somewhere in the flashing process.
I would check the MD5 of the ROM and see if it matches the source. and perform another full wipe and try flashing again.

same post problem with me. Since the latest Revo 2.011 I am having syncing errors with our exchange server. I have been wiping and installing three times. Had no Problems with older Revo versions or any Gingebread based ROM.

I have had this problem before, with other programs, but I can not upgrade my Gmail. Every time I try it says, "Package file was not signed correctly." Huh? Can someone help me fix this?

Sorry for not posting this in Viper Rom thread, but I didn't have access to post in dev area.
I have been using Pokemon roms and was able to configure hotmail as exchange and it worked. But since I have upgraded to Viper 1.0.1, it stopped working. I have been searching the thread for Viper and found that some people have reported the same issue but I can't find a solution that works.
I have already tried flashing the exchange mail mod suggested by some but it doesn't work for me. Am I doing something wrong ?
I don't see the above issue listed as a bug so I assume a solution is in place. If somone can please guide me to that, it will be helpful.

Need some help here guys..
Just to mention if some one else comes here searching for a solution. This issue has been fixed in Viper 2.0 .
Regarding the {-ROM-}-{-MyMiui-}-{-Port-MIUI-2.12.7-}-{12-29-12-} rom...
Every time I hang up from a call I get a com.android.phone has stopped error.
Any thoughts?
might want to post it in the developers section, the section where you got the rom from so the person porting it can look at it and help you figure it out. and also could try searching thru that thread for any posts on similar issues.

I tried posting there but was told I'm too new and I am limited to the Q & A section.
I have also search the forums before I posted this.
I rooted my HTC desire 816 and currently have CM12 on it.
Everything worked well while i was on WIFI. I managed to update apps, sync email accounts etc.
However when I'm not at home and on mobile data, browser, Google Chrome and google play store won't work.
When I get back on WIFI, such apps work as per normal again. It seems like there's a problem when I'm on mobile data.

You should post these issues on the development thread of the ROM you're using along with appropriate logs.
This is a guide for taking a logcat.

Hmm... Forgot about that. You could post in the Q&A thread of the CM12 ROM in the 816 Q&A forum. If you can't find that, just create a new thread in the Q&A subforum.
Cm 12 call problem

I have installed cm12 on my desire 816 .Everythimg worked fine but i cant call anyone .The call option and dialer got stuked.Please let me know how to fix this.
