I'm on CleanRom SE 1.0 rom and I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to remove the toggles and brightess slider? I find it of no use since I dont like the toggles or the brightness slider and because I rarely use them. Plus I would also like more space for the notification bar for more notifications.

The better question would be: why is your screen on in your pocket?

You can always go back to eclair

Put it on auto-brightness. It will lower the brightness in a dark area like your pocket. It'll disable the brightness control also. Hope this helps.

Can't you change this in the settings?
I would like to disable this control too.
Can anyone help please?
Is there any hidden setting to disable it?

+1 to this... might not be the best solution for somebody trying to always keep it at minimal brightness, but, to my knowledge, it is the only way to disable the swipe of the notification bar to change brightness...

Root explorer or similar and delete brightness.apk from /system/app

I would like:
-A notification bar similar in features to Sense 3.0.
-Option to have ringer and notification volume the same.
-Have an actual lock screen rather than going straight to the lock pattern (easier to control music)
-The music volume slider is too wide and I would like it to be normal. It is wide because when you have headphones and go above a certain volume, a message appears stating that it is dangerous to go above this limit while wearing headphones.
I think these are reasonable. Just want to get your input

AIO Mod will give you a sense-like statusbar, and you can use Widgetlocker to get the lockscreen you want?
Yes a lock screen before the pattern would be nice and this is main reason I dont have a pattern

I'm not looking for looks, I'm looking for functionality. And i feel that widgetlocker is poorly integrated compared to actual lockscreens.

does anyone here know how to disable clock on status bar? I can't seem to find where to turn it off?
there isn't any way to do it stock. you might be able to mod it but you'll have to do it yourself. 99% of people like the clock there

thank you for your response.
Samsung, I get it. There are more toggles to the right. How do I stop it from doing this every time I pull down?
I installed a custom toggle bar. No scrolling!
