Hi all !!!
I have an ONE X for a month and no matter what i did the touch is way off , the bottom screen is completely unresponsive .
Is there anyway to fix it ???
Hardware fault, I believe. I've never heard of a capacitive panel that needed calibration before, anyway...
if my friends have an original rom
is there anyway to extract it so i can install it on my device ?

My G2 LCD stopped working for no reason .. It started flickering and losing colors two days ago .. and yesterday it went completely black .. I did not drop the phone or damage it anyhow ..
I opened it up and checked all connections and it looked fine .. the LED and digitizer screen work fine as well as the capacitive buttons at the bottom so I figured it is not a connection problem ..
I had Cyanegon on it for like 5 months and never had an issue .. I recently installed Virtious Sense ROM and I have been switching between the two the past week ..
My question is ,, do you think it is a software problem for example the lcd driver got messed ..?? or is it just the lcd was broken somehow
I am intending to buy a new lcd and replace the one I have now but I thought I should make sure that the one I currently have is actually broken before I replace it ..

PS: if you can think of an easy way to check the functionality of the LCD let me know ..
Its rather hard for a software (even if it is firmware) to cause problems to an LCD. If you can se the backlight turning on but the screen not showing anything, i suggest you start trying out some unbricking methods.
Now, if the screen doesnt turn on AT ALL, then its possibly a hardware fault. The only way to be sure is to have an extra lcd available to connect to it. You could also try and give your lcd to someone with a Desire Z to try out your lcd on his phone and see what happens.
The "easiest" way though is to get a new one.
is the ribbon cable connecting the screen to keyboard damaged?

the backlight does not turn on at all .. so I guess you are right it should be a hardware issue

my htc wildfire had an accident resulting in a broken touchscreen (front glass) i bought a new one and i replaced it because i didn't want to spend too much money
now the touchscreen its working cept the top part (where the notification bar is) its unresponsive to touch so i contacted the shop and they said i should do a reflash (which didn't help im currently using cyanogenmod last stable version) or i should find a touchscreen calibration tool to recalibrate my touchscreen which after many hours of searching i was unable to find
now does someone know about such tool or is this a calibration problem or the new touchscreen its also broken ?
any suggestion its appreciated

Capacitive Screens do not require calibration..
I had the same problem so I restored it to stock and as it was in warranty period got the touch screen replaced..
Now it is working properly
My HOX display was broken 5-6 months ago.But my touch working perfectly.
Yesterday, suddenly my phone touch soft key doesn't work anymore.sometimes it response.....but not correctly works.last thing i do to my phone is wiping my battery stats then i play Swing Copters after that soft key doesn't work.
Is that for my broken glass or software issue?plz help
my current rom is ARHD 33.1.

The Display could be the reason but also a hardware damage because the drop.
Just flash another rom and try the buttons again..
If you won't change the display you can flash a rom with Virtual softkey buttons aswell. Then you dont need them anymore...

If you are on ARHD, I would recommend you to try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2270198. But I would go for version 0.20.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2276637&d=1379922840, as latest one was causing lags to me (dunno if it;s because of 4.4 support). Xposed Framework is a must tho. Hope it helps.
I have a problem with my touch screen.. Sometimes it just not responding any of my inputs and sometimes it just "touch" anything he wants without me touching it.. first place it happened was while charging it with a "chinese 5v/1.2A" charger because i don't know why my original charger exploded.. (It was so loud that i thought something hit the ground..)
The problem dissapeared when i stop charging the phone.. until 2 days ago..
I was undervolting the cpu a little and when i finished the test (with no errors..) my screen when unresponsive at all.. the power and volume buttons worked, even the hardware buttons in the front but the screen wasn't working at all.. Turning the screen on and off for a while do the trick but only for a few seconds..
It happened in stock rom and artmod rom.. but i don't remember too well if in stock rom i was in solid kernel too or not so.. I really don't know if it's hardware of software problem..
Any help please.. ?
I had similar problem + ghost touch with my LG and I think that the problem is hardware.
The resolve of the problem is changing the display ( like most people with the same problem).
In my case after the replacment I have Ghost touch and wondering is this hardware or software problem.

my htc 10 broke lcd, it was still working even with broken lcd, all was fully working even both Back and Recents keys
i change lcd but now the Back and Recents keys don´t work, when i turn on screen the 2 Back and Recents keys light up , then light off, and when i touch them there is no response at all
anyone had this kind of problem?
btw Back and Recents keys are integrated in the screen or part of mobile phone?

You should watch the video on this webpage and make sure you didn't miss any cables that work the softkeys.
Most probably you damaged the buttons when you remove the old screen. They are not integrated into the screen. On the screen is just the drawing.
Or maybe you just forgot to plug some connector, from so many there.

Touch screen and central Button are fully working
But when i enter twrp the Touch screen stop working and i cant do nothing... This is very strange... Even i manage Tô hard reset phone this problems keep going

Anyone have a clue why in twrp Touch on screen dont work? Its working nice in the ui....

after 3 weeks i send my htc to htc official repair center they send me back my phone and said this:
"Equipment outside EU, spares necessary for service not avaible, please contact retailer"
this is a htc 10 sprint version, anyone can tell me if htc 10 from sprint is different from "normal" htc 10 ???
i reinstall sprint official last 7.0 rom
i flashed twrp and screen don´t work in last twrp
what is the problem? because the screen works fine in sprint rom, only the back and recent buttons don´t work because of some hardware failure
before i broke screen and replace it, twrp was working just fine
